Between Two Hateful Sides (Telios x Ene Kagerou)

"Star can bath alone. I'm sure nothing bad will happen." Takios encouragingly said, smiling kindly.
 
"Thanks, Takios!" Leah said. Star's ears flattened against her head as she thought of all the things that could possibly go wrong by being along.


"Usa and Uso are going first!" Uso said excitedly.


"But how do Usa and Uso turn the water on?" Usa asked. Her tone was slow, and just as cows mooed slowly, Usa seemed to speak her words rather slowly.


"Odeus has once seen one of these, except, a person washes just their hands in it, not their entire body," Odeus said, turning the faucet on.


"Thanks, Odeus!" The two said, putting their feet in the water as they climbed in, with their clothes still on.
 
"Ode us is sure wise..." Takios thought out loud before adding. "I'll go now. Make sure you take off your clothes before bathing. I will wash your dirty clothes and get you some new ones." Takios then walked away, heading to the main hall.
 
"Uso has to take her clothes OFF to bathe?" Uso questioned as he walked away.


"That means the rest of the family needs to leave," Usa said.


The rest of them did leave and sat outside. The two took their clothes off and started a pile of clothes on the floor.
 
"Yup. We will washes our clothes another way and that way you can wash your bodies cleaner." Tokias answered before leaving and walked upstairs, trying to find some clothes for the Yugens. A while later, he came down with a box of clothes which he hoped to fit with the Yugens.

When he was gone and the family was out of the room, Usa and Uso stripped all their clothes off and began to take their bath sitting in the tub as the water filled up the tub.
 
"When you finished bathing. Try these on. I will wash your other clothes." Takios said as he put down the box full of clothes. He thought he got enough clothes fitting the Yugens.
 
"Wow! Prince Takios is so kind," Star said, as Leah and Odeus began to look through the box for something that they could wear.


Odeus brought Uso and Usa outfits that Leah had picked from the box, and the two got out from the tub and changed into their new clothes. Next, Odeus walked in, and took his bath, and soon enough came out. Leah and Braden, the little boy with the horns of a ram went in and came out rather quickly. Then Star went in timidly and began to take her bath and came out changed into a button down shirt and a blue blazer with a darker blue skirt.
 
"You are looked good. If you wanted a room of your own, just go pick one of the bedrooms." Takios smiled as he picked up the box and carried it with him to the main hallway. "The bedrooms are upstairs and if you need more clothes, just ask me." Takios added, smiling.
 
As most of the family went off to pick bedrooms, Star followed Takios, a bit timidly.


"St-Star wants to help!" She said, continuing to follow him."
 
"You should get some rest." Tekai smiled and put the box on a table next to the stairs before walking down again, heading to the exit.
 
Star continued to follow him anyways. "Star doesn't need to sleep. Star always has enough energy without sleep. Does Takios not want Star to help? Star will try not to be a nuisance. She promises. Is the way she talks annoying? That's what some people say. Sh- I can try to talk like you, if t- you want me to."
 
"Either way is fine for me. I don't mind." Takios smiled as he opened the door and walked outside with Star. It's night at that time and there's not much people on the street.


"So is there many ones like you besides your colony?" Takios asked, smiling.
 
"Yeah. There are alot of Yugen. Not alot of the family anymore, most have died and many have left to be servants," Star said, looking up at the sky and then back at him. "Do you have alot of people in your family?"
 
"I'm closest to my parents of course and the three of us is really grateful to the. Yugens." Takios said, looking around as he continued to walk around with Star.
 
"Why's that? You are thankful to us?" Star asked, rather confused. She had never heard of humans being thankful for people who were Yugens. Sometimes they were jealous of their powers. Other times they were simply hateful because Yugen were different. And other times they were scared and nervous but never thankful."
 
"Yes... Two Yugens saved me... I was playing in a forest on my summer vacation and got attacked by wild animals... I thought it was the end of me and then two Yugens arrived and they saved me, taking me back to my parents..." Takios explained, looking up at the black sky.
 
"Most Yugen, including St- me, believe that we shouldn't hate humans just because many of them hate us. We treat everyone as though they are family, because we are. We're human too, but not everyone knows. Most of the things we do are to benefit people we care for. We care for you, so we want to protect you." She smiled brightly.
 
"Yes..." Takios nodded then a guy pointed a gun at them, looking like he is a robber. He has his eyes on Takios as he knows Takios is a rich person. He shot both Takios and Star in the stomach before dashing over to Takios and took his wallet, running away. It's maybe ok for a Yugen since they heal quite fast but not for Takios... He is bleeding a lot...
 
Star looked up at the robber, as her stomach began to heal. Her eyes grew red when she saw Takios and knew he wouldn't make it the way he was now. There was no way he could live on his own, and she wouldn't be able to make it to a hospital in time.


She decided to do something that she was told only to do in emergencies. She knew how to do this, but had never had to actually do it. She picked him up and wrapped her arms around him.


"Rabbit Demon inside me, even as I am cursed I wish to make another contract. I wish to transfer part of myself to this human. Not for hatred, but to save him. I plead you, as our blood mixes." A black rabbit appeared out of thin air and ran through Takios, shattering into dust. This dust stuck to Takios' skin dissolving into his skin without hurting him in any way.
 
Takios's stomach started to heal as black long ears sprouted from the top of his head. Soon, Takios started to return back to consciousness... "Wh-What happened...?" Takios asked, looking at Star.
 
When he woke up again, there were tears in Star. "Star is sorry. She didn't have any other chance! Takios was dead which is why she had to do it! Star is sorry! So sorry! But she is glad that Takios is alive now." Eyes that were once blue were now red, as though she had been using her powers, which she had. She was guilty, even though what she had done was the only thing she could do in order to stop him from dying.
