That you care means a lot. Just remember that you too are worthy of consideration just stay in touch.

Wall of text is coming...

About to post my first bits, but more to come. Basically covered a bit about the Ratkin landing, and intrigues leading to various factions skimming manpower from defunct factions.

Coming up Next: The Luxury Guild and the Caravan to the Agora of the Dead... and Goq-quets continued studies...

I'm gaining momentum... so keep watching even after what I have goes up. More orders and orders and orders... and then we're gonna see where ambitions and projects take us when we leap ahead to mid-summer. :D

It's no longer hype -- 3 posts already up, and more to come.

Thanks for the patience -- I'll be waiting for you folk soon enough. xD

Lot still coming down the pipeline, some is contingent on getting some PM word from @Elendithas

For the moment, I wanted to ask if my inclusion of music clips is additive or subtractive for enjoyment/immersion -- It's easier for me to find songs that encapsulate a feeling but some people may respond better to imagry -- but context applicable art for an original story is much harder to find. Basically, tell me if you like so far, are indifferent, or dislike this added ambiance. If everyone likes it, I'll be adding a lot more instrumental stuff to set atmosphere for posts, and songs I feel evocative of certain events.

(there are a couple of songs relative to the Tyren and story in general I am VIBRATING to drop since I think they are so applicable, but if people think it's cheesy, I'll stay my hand.)

I like the music! I think it adds a new ambience to the scenes and helps to amplify the emotions being conveyed. And don't worry about artwork, I usually tab away or start reading other things while I'm listening to the music.

I quite like art of most every kind, so the addition of music and artwork is nice, though it certainly isn't required if you have trouble finding certain pieces for what you're looking to post.

So the Aymarans get the first chance to play at foreign relations.

...There goes the colony. -starts packing the ship-

Yeah, this probably isn't gonna end well. At best There will be a tense situation beneath the 'Platz. Worst? I dunno, the whole place gets incinerated?

I see their relationship with the goblins being like the episode of Futurama where we find out Zoidberg's race wiped out the sardine. "We kept telling ourselves one more wont hurt... one more wont hurt... but then they were gone! There were no more!"

Are you referring to the Aymarans or the Zebani? O_o

@Elendithas :

I Posted the exchange between Aymaran and Zebani thus far, just because I thought it was going cool and I wanted to clear my pallate to continue other process. Gonna see if I can tackle more orders, but I'm keeping waiting on you to continue the parlay!

This might sound a little pompous, but I can't help but think that this first meeting with the Zebani would have gone MUCH more smoothly if Nateema had been contacted first.

Definitely culture and context played a big part in this encounter.

Being apex predators by nature, being more fascinated by an archeological find than prospect of diplomacy, and the fact that you might be pulling crap down in their backyard and you REALLY don't care... I'm sure it all had an effect. :D

But what I love is how this exchange so typifies some of the things I hoped to see in this RP -- Prejudice, contempt for "otherness", Pride clouding reason. The real sticky wicket is how to acknowledge these things and still overcome, or seek a higher outcome. Moving on to other process for a while... there is plenty of suspense here, might as well pan to a different part of the story! xD

Update: Next post should be of the caravan into the market of the dead. Anything presently at market (primarily luxuries and food) is going in wagons for this foray.

Presently Security for this Caravan is:

1 Sundered king and 5 Halbardiers (this is what they sent into the ruins the last time, and frankly that's all the good infantry gear they have)

4 Tyren Warriors and a Shaman.

Highborn or anyone else who wish to go on the expedition: Tell me how many troops you're sending -- I know you're sending merchants, but since every one of your guys is standing military, that defaults to 5 Spearmen... let me know if you'd like that modified.

Ratkin can likewise go, but they have not joined the luxuries guild and selling the feathers (if purchased) would preclude their joining... unless they had some other luxury good.

In the meantime -- There is the question of captives. A few dozen mud-elves and a witch. This will be the post following unless people already take a proactive approach to the prisoners.

Game on!
