To add to that if you feel your character is getting hard to play, or uninteresting and you really don't want to play them, you can actually switch, we can come up with a reason for them to leave (maybe they get killed? Drama!) and you can move on to your next character. I always try to encourage development over switching, but if you're really stuck, this is an option.

That’s really interesting... I wish I had thought of switching characters like that before when I made one that wasn’t working out well. Now I know xD
