Fantasy Beast Souls OOC

Yeah he would be dead before you had a chance to get to him. At the speed he was going he covered a good 8 miles of ground in roughly 3 minutes.

So 160 mph. Horizontal, non-diving speed. Through the jungle. At night. In the cold. While carrying a load. Maintained for more than a brief moment. Thats some ol' bullshit.

(JK <3 you bug :3)

We can run a time skip when the herbs get back and people have had enough talking ^^

I kind of dont want to go to the caves until the group figures out how theyre going to maintain supplies and comes up with a plan. Walking in blindly at this point is basically suicide and theres so much information to be gathered before then

That's why I called the little meeting in the crimson tent. I was hoping we would discuss are next move.

I should probably clarify, the tavern was a small independent establishment on the road about 20 miles outside of the imperial city. It wasn't close in.

I thought it was mentioned that we were only a couple hours outside the city, which is very close. Regardless, the army isn't going to be a disorganized mob on the front line.

I wrote 'several' hours, it was more of a full day's journey at a walk.

yeah. As an american, I consider a day's journey to be relatively close
It was just to justify the spiders being able to attack without an alarm sounding, they wouldn't have been able to get into the imperial city so easily for sure...not yet anyway.

The concern isn't so much the distance from the city as it is the distance from the areas surrounding the known origin point. It implies that the entirety of the armies ahead of this point was wiped out without sending off any fireworks as warning, or that no one is using scouts, or that there are more hidden openings and our forward armies are getting cut off from supplies and manpower. All are concerning.

I think you're reading a bit too much into it ^^, the army isn't dispatched in its entirety, those that are are surrounding the towns and villages believed to be most vulnerable to attack, they wouldn't have been near a little roadside tavern, which would be miles from anything. The country is absolutely huge, there wouldn't be enough men to cover 10% of it. The spiders also have a unique way of getting around but you'll find out more later. As of this point, there has been no mass death so I can clear away that assumption here. You should have Xaman ask some of these questions IC.

That's exactly what I'm having him do when he gets back XD

So... Very little support from Xiong-Shi then XD
