Only iced coffees for me! Those flavored Starbucks drinks you can get at convenience stores really hit the spot.

Dr Pepper fans unite! It's the one soda I'll drink til I rot. ;D

If I go without it for even a week, I feel empty inside.

Lmao, it's not that bad. It's to combat obesity and ... we don't really like the American diet anyways, so we're not missing out on much. Also, American fast food chains, ketchup, and 'processed' foods are banned, too.

Im not defending it, but its not really a problem as long as you keep yourself in shape like you should.

No Chick-fil-a?

Silvana Silvana So I guess I'll change it so that he was going towards the fire and that's where you could respond or something? :D

People always so Chick-fil-a is amazing, but I never really liked it. Plus any time I have wanted to go was a Sunday. Not even joking... :closed eyes open smile:
I've only been to Chick-fil-A once, hehe. I enjoyed it like I love all forms of chicken! I just used it as an example because of how iconic it is in America. :p

LMAO all the questions! I honestly feel sick every time I take a trip to the States because I can practically taste the processed food. So to give you an idea of a 'French diet' (or at least, mine), here's what I eat on an average day:
  • Breakfast: cappuccino with a vanilla roll, croissant, citrus-oat scone, cheese platter, or brioche. The 'traditional' family has a balanced meal of fruits and grains, but I'm always in a rush to catch the subway in the morning, so I just grab whatever grain I can get at a bakery or café.
  • Lunch: I ... actually skip this one a lot. But it's common to have a salad, soup, or sandwich. Something 'light'.
  • High tea: this one is a 'me' thing honestly. I spent a lot of time abroad in the United Kingdom, so I naturally adopted this. I usually get home in time to sit down at my desk and have a cup of tea and some cheese, apples, baguette, and almonds.
  • Dinner: we are terribly extravagant with this one. A part of French culture is being able to cook (I've never met a French man or woman who couldn't cook a decent three-course meal), so when you have friends or family over, you cook a three-course meal consisting of a: starter (soup, salad, whatever), main course, then dessert. Sometimes we do five-courses which is: starter, second starter, main course, dessert, cheeses or wines. It can go over the 'five' number and consist of several small dishes to make up for it, which restaurants typically do.
  • Wine/espresso: I actually don't like alcohol, so I politely pass on the wines/champagnes/other drinks and go for a small espresso.
edit: Oh! One more thing! You do not 'eat out' in Europe unless you plan to be at a restaurant for up to four hours. 'Eating out' is very much a social thing. It's rude to just run in and order something and demand they go quickly. You only get food quickly at a bakery, café, patisserie, et cœtera.
