This story is set in the years leading up to the distress message found in the bottle in 1846. The Band of Traitors is aboard The Bloody Cutlass under the command of Amelia VaLex, Captain of the wealthiest pirate crew on the English sea.
The story begins on the evening of May 9th, 1843 as the Bloody Cutlass leaves Port Gale in Fernhille with yet another load of looted riches, (stolen from the imperial guard).
Lord Grey, captain of the English Imperial Fleet, has made it his personal mission to capture and personally carry out the procedures put in place by the English "justice" system when it came to pirates.... the noose or the cutlass.
