WlfSamurai Quick question--is a mage hand strong enough to keep a door closed, probably to hold a doorknob so the other side can't be twisted to open?

Since it can't carry more than 10 lbs, I will say that it can hold the door knob temporarily. Basically, whoever runs up to the door won't be expecting it and will have to take a moment to put more force into turning the knob.

So, it will buy a turn while the person figures it out.

It’s either, really. Most die at 0, but if you want one for questioning we can arrange unconsciousness. Dead-Eye would not be dead at 0 for sure.

I already planned my turn option 1: kill the 5hp trying to escape Option 2: attack Dead-Eye for escaping the grapple if he escapes Option 3: Intimidation check on Dead-Eye if still in grapple and the 5p pirate is dead.
