Levi sighed " are you sure we should be staying at a cave where they are hibrenating?" He asked Luna as he started walking to the cave.

Armin nodded and Erza says " so leaves it is... let's start gathering them then" she said to the three.

Ken glared at Hanji for a moment before looking away. "Yes Ma'am." He muttered moving to a spot not far from his spot. He pushed away a ton of snow with his bare hands till a circle was formed where the ground could be seen. "Leave this spot bare. Make sure nothing wet get's in the middle of it." he said before running off to get the needed wood.

"It's that or freezing, your choice" Luna says and she thinks for a while and whistles "Erwin didn't say anything about getting help from animals" she says as the wolves she had befriended run over "Can you go and find some food for us please?" she asks and the wolf runs of again. Petra looks at Luna "That can come in handy sometimes" she says and adds "You have to teach me how to do that" "It's not something you can learn" Luna says and she keeps following Levi.


Victoria nods and she puts Honey on her shoulder as she start gather leaves with Christa "We need something that we can use as a rope of something" she says looking at Erza.


Hanji glares "You're not the one giving orders!" she calls after him and she makes a circle in the middle of the open field "What's his deal anyway? He seem to think he knows everything, I'd rather have Luna in my group then him" she mumbles and sighs as she helps to cadets move a tree trunk where they can sit on "I didn't even say we have to sleep in the snow, that idiot" she mumbles while walking around the clearing.

Ken found a bunch of very suitable wood once he had hacked off the wet bark finding underneath it was dry. He went around and gathered a big bundle that was filled with dry leaves for starter, some twigs and a good amount of dry branches. He shortly came back with these items only taking him nineteen minutes to do so. When he came back he saw that another circle was made a mere foot from his. Blinking at this he sighed and shook his head. 'What is everyone's problem! I'm trying to help!' He thought as he now set up the leaves, twigs and branches in the circle that Hanji had made.

Levi sighed "alright, cave it is" he said to her and stretched a little and yawned a little and looked at the sky, thinking back to his past back on the mountains.

Erza looked at Honey and then at Victoria " it's not a good idea to have her out, eagles and owls are going to try and eat her..." Erza said stsrted looking for stuff to tie up the leave with. She hummed a little as she did so.

Luna smiles slightly and hugs him saying "Knew you'd choose that". Petra looks around "I'll go look for some food as well she says and walks of.


Victoria looks at her bunny before putting her back in her pocket "Alright then" she says and adds "Though we haven't found food yet".

putting a circle of stone around the wood Ken finished making the campfire in no time. He had yet to light it thinking it would be best to wait since they didn't have an infinite amount of dry wood.

Hanji looks at Ken "We won't be able tp use that this evening" she says and thinks for a while "We should look for berries we can eat, but I can also go back to HQ to get some food".

Ken rubbed his freezing hands together as he looked up at Hanji. "Why can't we use this for later? Also finding edible berries this time of a year is impossible... Is there stream around here? We could have fish... Or I could get us a rabbit or two." He siad as he blew into his hands to warm them a bit.

 

[Flame Demon]

"Because it's still snowing and even if we had fish we can't roast them" Hanji says and she sighs "I'll be pointless to put the wood down now because the snow will fall on it and there are some berries we can still eat, however only animals have managed to get them so far, animals will be hibernating so that's also out of the question".

"If it's snowing that's all the more reason to have a fire. We can set up something that will block the wind so it won't blow the fire out. If we are going to stay out in the open here then we need something that will warm us... And there are a few animals not hibernating that we can eat. If you look in the right places we could find them." Ken said as he kept rubbing his hands together trying to get them warm.

"We'll look for berries, unless you Erza and Luna to hate you even more" Hanji says and she stands up "Look for berries, and do not kill animals" she orders before leaving to look around.

"Frankly I don't care what Erza and Luna think of me. They hate me already so whatever." Ken grumbled as he walked in a different direction to search for the food already thinking of likely places for the food. 'Watch... I'll get the damn food and I won't even be thanked... And no one is offering to help.. I bet she'll find some way to chew my head off like everyone else.' He thought as he made his way into the windows leaving markings so he wouldn't get lost.

Erza looked at Victoria " don't worry, I'll figure out the food. Knowing Luna she is using the animals to help" she said to her and smiled slightly at the thought. " speaking of animals, we should have check the cave for animals..." she said to Victoria " make sure Honey doesn't leave your side when your sleeping" she said ti her.

Levi smiled a little and patted her head. He looked around " one week...wonder what made Erwin think that" he said to luna.

"No idea, not even I can guess what he's thinking most of the time" Luna says and she sighs "Though we really should look for a lake or something..." she says, she had learned a thing or two by living on the streets, one of them was surviving without a fire and food. Petra walks back "Found a lake, I told the guys they could show off by catching fish" she says and smiles slightly "You know... you two really are a great couple" she says and Luna blushes.


Victoria nods and asks "If you go make paperwork tomorrow, can you take her with you?", she didn't want to risk losing Honey.


Hanji walks around and she sighs wondering what Ken's deal was, he didn't care about anyone, she didn't see how that would do any good "I should look for a better place" she mumbles and keeps walking.

After some time Ken had found some food. He had surprisingly found a bush filled with cranberries and he even found a bunch of cat tails. Smiling at his find he weaved a small basket using some wreaths he found. With that he filled the basket with cranberries and placed the cattails under his arm. Once he had everything he went back to the spot that everything was set up. He was shivering quite a bit but he endured it. Soon he arrived at the site and placed down the food. "Now watch as I get nagged for something else." He grumbled as he blew in his to warm them.

(cranberries can be eaten raw and cat tail roots are edible as well. You don't need fire for those to eat)

(I meant the fact your character found dry wood, there's snow on it by the time came back from getting berries, also they didn't have a basket when they headed unto the forest)

(He used his pocket knife to cut away the wet bark getting the dry stuff underneath. He placed said wood in a spot that the snow was cleared away. After that he went to get the fruit. Using his own skills he weaved a basket so its a make shift basket out of some weeds and such)

Levi smile slight and nodded " good job, I guess we should start fishing then?" He said looking at Luna. Petra giggled at them

Erza nodded "of course I will" she said with a smile. Esther and Erwin can keep an eye on her." She added. She looked around and sighed a little " i should read a book on how to survive in the wild or something after this... " Erza knew how to sneak around and go unnoticed but she has no idea how to survive in the wild.

Luna thinks for a while "Well sure" she says and smiles "Just let me make something first", she takes a branch and says "I have my pocket knife, so I can make a spear".


Victoria nods "So, how are we going to get food, Mikasa's looking for it now but the snow is getting worse".

(I meant reed, and even if the reed is wet it can still be of use. And he found think branches, which he then used his knife to scrape away the wet part to get to the dry part of the branch. Now if you are saying after he did this and placed it one the circular area that is started to snow. You should have said so in one of the post. You said it would snow later in the evening but showed no indication of it snowing at that moment (unless I missed it) if I known it was snowing I would have had Ken do something else to keep the wood dry as possible.)

Levi nodded " good.. let head to the lake then" he said to her as he stsrted walking.

Erza looked around for a moment "hm..." she whistled a tune and one eagle and an owl flew over and landed on her shoulder " think you could find some berries for us?" The 2 nodded and flew off.
