Erza looked around and felt something brush against her feet. She looked and blinked, it was her cat Esther. She picked the black kitten ' i need to drop her off at Mom's for the week...' she thought to herself. She then blinked and looked at Erwin " wait... won't that mean paperwork will pile up?" She asked and sweatdropped, she has gotten way too use to doing paperwork.

Ken sighed as he stretched a bit. "I'm someone that will do what I need to do in order to survive. Sorry if I'm not giving kids ponies at every corner and letting them ride in my personal hot air balloon." He said sarcastically though it was under his breath do you had to be close up to hear him. Smiling he let his eyes linger on Hanji for a few seconds before looking away and at the snowy trees.

"Ken you just gor your only warning, chance that attitude, now" Erwin says and he looks at the groups "Squad leaders are allowed to do paperwork during 12 and 2 un the afternoon, but that's all, no experiments for Hanji and Luna, Hanji pouts while Luna just crosses her arms. Victoria sighs "Ken, how did a jerk like you ever got accepted?" she asks and Richard say "Enough fighting aming each other, that'll only get you killed. But you are acting like a jerk Ken, so behave if you want to stay". @Evergreen98 @Peaceswore

Erza nodded and stretched a little, Esther mewed " can I go and drop of Esther at my mom's house?" She asked and then looked at her team mates " and go gather sticks and rocks to start a fire" she said to them.

Ken simply smiled at Erwin and seeing as no matter what he did he got in trouble he decided to keep his mouth shut. 'None of you know shit. So keep barking pointless things, I'm sooner to hug a rainbow then give a damn about your opinions.' He thought as he let a small yawn leave him, his hands laying loosely by his side as he stood there.

"No, I'll take her back inside, the groups split up and find a place to make a camp, and remember, work together" Erwin says and he looks at Luna "And you have to take it easy" "I'm fine" Luna says and Richard says "You're not and I trust that Levi will keep an eye on you, you tend to be reckless". Victoria looks down and sees her bunny plopping it's head out of the pocket of her jacket, but since she wants Honey to stay with her she puts the small animal back in her pocket.

Erza nodded and looked at Esther "stay inside ok?" She sais to the cat which nodded and mewed. Erza smiled and walked over to Erwin, the kitten jumped on his shoulder and looked at Erza, who petted her before walking off to look for a place to camp out.

Erwin heads back inside with Richard and he sighs "Wonder if they'll be alright" he says and Richard says "Don't worry, they're strong".


Luna looks at Levi "Where are we going to camp out?" she asks and Petra sighs "Seriously, does the Commander want us to freeze to death?" the girl asks and Luna says "He doesn't, which is why we're doing this".


Victoria follows Erza "So why do you think Erwin gave us this assignment?" she asks, the knew Erwin could go overboard with his training, but this was way beyond that.

Ken followed Hanji for the time being to see if she had a place that she wanted to bunker down at. He knew how to do the basics like build a shelter, make a fire and even how to persevere some food in this frozen area. As he walked he kept a distance from her and the other recruits not wanting to receive even more ridicule from the others

Esther looked back at Erza and the others a little worried about them. She looked at the ground and mewed a little.

Levi sighed " he just want us to get us to the cold and see if we can survive if we every get lost or separated in an expedition... I think." He said with a sighed.

Erza shrugged " i think this is a bonding exercise of some sorts..." she said as she looked around "I think we should find a place like a cave, since we're in a forest and start a fire..." she said to Victoria.

"Probably" Luna says and she rubs her arms trying to keep herself warm, but she flinches slightly "Great... my injuries..." she mumbles, her burn wounds were getting annoying and the cold wasn't really helping at all.


Victoria shrugs "It's snowing, I doubt we can find wood that's not soaked by the snow" she says and puts her hands in her pockets before getting Honey out of it's prison.

Levi took off his jacket and put it on her shoulder "take it... the cold doesn't really bother me much" he said to her as he continued to walk.

" yeah.. but it wouldn't hurt to look" she said to her. Armin came running over "hey! I found cave we can use" he sais to Erza. Erza nodded and followed Armin to check out the cave.

"Thanks..." Luna says and she looks at him "So where are we going to make a camp?" she asks an looks around the area "Maybe there's something we can eat nearby".


Victoria follows them and says "So we have to do this an entire week, how are we going to survive this?", she really hated the cold.

" hmm.... Maybe an open sunny area, but a cave works best, if the weather get unpredictable" he said to Luna " for food there are berries, or we could hunt our own food"

Erza sighed " as much as I hate to say this, we need to hunt for our own food" she forced herself to say. She really didn't like hunting animals, they have always been kind to her. It made her skin crawl just thinking about hunting. " we could also go to HQ and get food too" Armin said as he lead them to a cave. Mikasa already set up the place for a fire, they just needed wood or some fresh leaves.

Luna sighs "Well you are allowed go back to HQ once each day, but I suppose looking for berries is our best option" she says and looks at the sky "And it'll probably keep snowing for a while, by the looks of it".


Victoria looks around "There's no way we can make a fire with the wood or leaves in the forest now" she says and thinks for a while "Or we have to use something else that can cause a fire, but think about it, if we were in an open field surrounded by Titans then making a fire would only get their attention". Christa nods slighlty "She does have a point though, we should probably treat this the same way we would as if we were outside the walls, without the chances of getting killed".


Hanji looks at Ken "No slacking of" she says and looks around finding an open field and she walks there "Well this would work, we can see our surroundings clearly and there are trees surrounding us".

Ken looked around and shook his head. "I don't think this is the best. It's out in the open the wind will hit us mercilessly and this place is low ground. We need to look for a place with as little snow as possible, good cover with trees, and if it's at higher ground that would be good. Since we don't have a cave we need to get ready to build our own shelter." He said in a casual tone as he looked around for a slightly better place.

Levi looked at the sky " i guess we go find shelter then" he said to Luna and started to look around for shelter.

Erza nodded a little "that makes sense, since we got everything covered... except for heat" she said as she started thinking. " hmm, we could always make blanket out deer skin... we just skin a deer and clean the and waah we have a blanket" her said.

Luna walks on an Petra says "I found a cave, it's this way, but... I think there are animals sleeping in it" "I think I can fix the animal problem" Luna says and she smiles slightly.


Victoria sighs "I'm not doing that" she says and Christa says "Me neither". Victoria thinks for a while "Besides, doesn't that take up a lot of time?" she asks,


"If we were outside the walls we'd have no time to build a shelter, plus I think we can worry more about food then the cold, therefor we'll camp here, I'll look for a better place tomorrow, but while you're in this group you'll follow my orders, now look for something that can be used to make a fire".

Ken blinked and shook his head at this. "Hanji I like you more then anyone else in the Survey corps, but please listen. A person can survive for a good while without food. However you can die overnight from frost bite if you choose a poor place to bunker down. Even if we can't make a shelter we should at the very least go to higher ground or in the forest where the wind can be blocked by the trees." He said in a calm voice honestly not trying to sound rude. "Hanji I get it no one likes me, but I've survive many winters like this, so please listen to this. The difference of camping here and camping in the woods is very significant."

"I said no, now get stuff to make a campfire" Hanji says giving him a glare "Do you want to know why you never got promoted? You don't work in teams, you risk the Survey Corps and you're rude to most people and show no respect" she says and walks on "As I said, I'll look for a better place tomorrow, for today we'll stay here".

Ken balled up his fist as he looked at her? "How was that rude? I said please! And my tone wasn't defiant! I was giving you advise so none of us end up dead on the first night or gain sever injures because of frostbite! Have you ever gotten frost bite or seen people die from it!? If you have then you know it is important to change locations!" He shouted as he stood there. "And the actual reason why I haven't been promoted is because you are all insistent on only knowing about the things I've done in the military police! You don't care about a thing I do here! If you watched me and gave me a chance instead of being so judgmental on the things I had to do so I wouldn't be walked over... Then maybe you would realize I'm not the monster everyone puts me up to be!"

Levi looked at Luna and then at Petra "wolves or bears?" He asked her.

Erza looked at Mikasa " go ahead and gather some food while we figure this out" Mikasa nodded and walked off to find food. Armin sighed " we could also gathe some leaves and tie them together to make blankets... but i don't think that'll work since everything is wet from the snow"

"Bears" Petra says and Luna says "As long as we don't wake them we're good" she says and asks "Is there a river or pond nearby, because if that's the case we're going to need a fire". Petra thinks for a while "There might be one that's not frozen yet, so we might have luck".


Victoria sighs "Well if we can dry them then we should be fine" she says and adds "When I was a trainee we had to camp for three days, it was raining for we had to wait till the leaves were dry enough for us to use".


Hanji looks at him "I said, go get stuff to make a campfire, or do you want to get send back already?" she asks in a cold tone "And I know what frostbite does, so gather the materials, you have half an hour".
