Fantasy Atlantis

Amicus: Amicus was patrolling the hallways of the palace, as he had been for three hours. He had seen nothing interesting, and probably never would in this position, but he didn't care, we was preforming the task assigned to him. Doing a MerKnight's duty to serve the crown. But he could hear his stomache rumbling, and sighed, he needed food.

Drake: Drake's body was washed up on the beach near Julian, in a bit of high tide that quickly receded. His Naval Uniform was soaked, and he was clutching onto his Officer's Sabre with a white-knuckle grip, like it would protect him. He was entirely unconcious, just lying there. During the storm, Drake had been on the top decks, trying to help lower the dingy, to help many of the crew escape. Suddenly, a larger wave crashed over the decks, sending Drake hurling overboard. He lost conciousness, but could feel the horrible feeling of drowning before he was out. Somehow, he had washed up on shores, before he had the chance to die.
Cuz, you know, screw letting you have private time or anything.

((@Ladypilot17 if you wish to do something, instead of waiting, you can run into Amicus? You are in the palace, or meet the two siblings, Serina and Kai as they are back from their trip ^^))

Mizu:

"Well the same goes for you! If you think your house is plain, then it mus be good right? Since you thought yourself looked plain!" Mizu said as he noticed the slighter stronger currents on their way, but he was used to it as he was usually swimming these parts, as he lived close by, but he usually never swam there together with anyone, and as Freyja was a bit faster than him, he was happy that she was holding his hand as they swam out. The sun rays were reflected through the water, and then up again with the necklaces they were both wearing as he smiled, it was good to know he wasn't the only one shinning for once, as he was thankful that she had invited him for dinner, and this would be the first time he visited another mermaid, he wondered what he should act like and what they were going to do, even the thought made him almost jump out of excitement.

Julian:

Julian had paid his respect, crying for the last couple of hours over the loss of his entire family, as he looked over to the beach, seeing as a man had drifted on the shore. "Hey! You!" Julian shouted as he began making his way over there, limping as his leg was still injured and almost fell over once, as he gently nudged the man's side. He could remember his face from the boat he and his mother had been rescued by, but couldn't recall his name. "Hey! W- Wake up!" Julian shouted as he continued to nudge the man's side. He was older than him, and far stronger looking and more dependable. If he made it, maybe his mother was still alive! But... he didn't know this man... What would he do if the man was dangerous, or attacked him or the mermaid? Perhaps it was better not to tell him about her, just to be sure he didn't do something the pirates would have done, as he didn't trust sailors anymore. "Can you hear me? Hey!" Julian shouted as he was tempted to splash water in the man's face, but considering he had almost drowned, that seemed as a dumb idea. Using the little strength Julian had, he dragged Drake upon the shore, to make sure the tide didn't get to them, and nudged him one more time. "Hey! Wake up!" Julian shouted one last time, hoping the man would open his eyes.

Drake: Drake's eyes suddenly opened, and he turned away from Julian, and vomited up a bunch of water, a pint or two. Once he was done, he flopped onto his back, breathing heavily, and staring up at the sky, before noticing Julian, "You! Where are we? Are there any other survivors? Did the Dingy make it?" He asked, in a flood of questions, an extremely worried look in his eyes. He recognized Julian, but barely. He vaguely remembered Julian was one of the freed slaves, onboard the Nike, being taken back to the homeland for a new life. He remembered watching Julian's mother fall overboard in the chaos, and his skin went a bit paler. How am I even going to say this to the lad? He thought to himself.

Amicus: Amicus was still patrolling.

Having said her piece, Nymphadora left her son with his father in the throne room. It was infuriating to know that her son's illness was effecting him this much! "What am I going to do?" She talked to herself, blindly swimming until she ran into Amicus. This startled her. "Oh, excuse me, Amicus. I didn't see you there." She was very nervous now. She thought herself rude. "Forgive me."

Julian:

Julian fell back at Drake's sudden movements, happy to see that the man was at the very least still alive, but seemed to have gotten a good amount of water in his lungs too, he could relate to that after all. Once their eyes met, Julian almost froze, as he was almost scared at how he shouted at him, as shouting only made him think of the pirates that would constantly order him around, but he quickly got his act together, trying his best to act brave in front of the man that he had found. "I- I don't know... I- I woke up here too... an- and... Except us... I haven't seen any..." Julian said, looking back at the memorials of his family, as he almost began to cry again, but since he wasn't alone, it was easier to keep his cool. Julian gently took off the wrappings off his injured leg behind him, as it would be suspicious for the man, and dug it into the sand, as the man didn't see it since he was blocking it, he didn't want him to know about the mermaid, as he owed her one, and that it would be better to keep it as secret as possible, sailors could no longer be trusted after all.

Amicus: He bumped into Nymphadora suddenly, and he swam back a bit, startled, "No, it is alright, your majesty," Amicus said, bowing. His face was red, as he had somehow managed to bump into the queen herself. If he didn't get executed, he'd be truely surprised. "No, no, your majesty, forgive me," he said, bowing even lower.

Drake:He calmed down slightly, breathing, looking up at Julian, "I am sorry, it's just that.... the whole crew's dead..... the only friend's I've ever had..." Drake stumbled out, looking at the ground, trying to hold back his tears. He had to be strong for this kid, help him get through his mess. He didn't notice Julian burying the wrapping, but did see the little memorials, "Did you find any bodies?" Drake asked, looking back at Julian. His mind got off track, wondering where the hell they even were. He didn't have access to the maps, and had no idea where they had been sailing when the storm hit.

"It's alright, don't worry yourself too much, good sir." Her kind, motherly way seemed to return to her. She took his hand and squeezed it gently, kindly. "I'll be more careful next time. I just was so upset about the prince." She explained, embarrassed. "You're doing a wonderful job, by the way." She assured him and let go, pretty sure that most merpeople would see that as flirting, but she wasn't trying to do that at all. Her love was for Caspian and kingdom only.

Julian:

"No. I didn't. There were no bodies," Julian muttered to him, curling up his leg as he made sure the wrappings were deep into the sand, to not give away as his wound was throbbing now, hurting from the sand. He curled up, trying his best to hide the pain he was clearly in, as a quick wince gave it away once the sand made its way to the deep cuts in his leg. "I'm sorry... about your crew..." Julian added to his sentence before, still looking down at the sand. Friends... I wonder how that feels like... I've only had those who'll hurt me or those who'll ignore me... or sometimes those who doesn't care. I'm scared to find out which category you're going to be in... maybe if I keep to myself... I won't need to find out... but right now... I can't walk... Julian thought as he looked down on his leg, seeing as all the walking from earlier had re-opened his wound, as the sand was beginning to turn red, quickly he looked around himself, forgetting about subtly and began shoving sand above the tainted sand, trying his best to hide his blood.

Drake: He nods, sadly, looking up at Julian. "It's alright, I didn't expect anything more anyways," he said with a sigh. "Are you wounded?" Drake asked, noticing the blood in the sand around Julian, "You should wrap something around that," Drake suggested, looking around. He shakily got to his feet, slowly treading off into the outskirts of the jungle, looking for something that could make a good bandage.

Amicus: He froze in place, his eyes wide. He had not expected a gesture like this from anyone, especially not the queen herself. "T-thank you, your majesty," he said, acknowledging her complement. He was totally going to be executed after this. "Have you seen any of the princesses?" He suddenly blurted out, before going even redder.

Dora shook her lovely scarlet locks. "No, I haven't seen them all day. They worry me sometimes, but, they're just like Caspian and myself." She looked away, as if in a daze. "I'm sorry for making you so very uncomfortable. I shouldn't have been acting as I was." It was in her nature to be kind, but she may have taken things too far. "I'm sorry. I should go." She swam away.

Amicus: He nodded, slowly. He had no idea what "But, they're just like Caspian and myself," meant, so he just went along with it, nodding. "Alright, your majesty," Amicus stuttered out. He watched her swim away, before going back to his patrol, still red. I am sooooo going to get executed, he thought to himself, eyes wide. And I haven't even been in the MerKnights for a whole year! He sighed, thinking. The princesses were probably off somewhere, doing princess things. He realized he shouldn't be caring, and tried thinking of something else.

Julian:

"I- It's okay. It's really only a small cut I'm fine," Julian tried to reassure him, but before he managed to stop him, Drake was already on his feet, going off into the jungle as Julian tried to stand up as well, but it only opened his wound further. It was a dumb idea to take the bindings he had already been given off, but just to conceal the mermaid's identity a little bit longer, as she clearly wasn't fond of any humans, none of them were, at least the one he had met, and it was maybe for the better to keep it like that. If it hadn't been for the mermaids, he would have drowned, and it was sort of what he wished for as well. Dying was only more difficult now, now that Drake was there too. What am I going to do...? I was planning on dying out there in the ocean, then I was planning on dying here on the island... and now I can't... Fate... what a twisted evil you are... Julian thought as he curled up to his knees, looking at the wound as it wasn't bleeding as heavily as he had thought, but the sand in his wound made it hurt enough, so he slowly made his way over to the water, washing it gently out, hoping that there wasn't any sharks nearby to smell him out.

Freyja finally made it to her little home, it was made from wood of crashed ships. It was made pretty well with the help of Odenia and the inside had treasures from different ships. She held the door open for him and led him to the kitchen where to smoothed down stones worked as chair and a stone table. "Keeping wood at the bottom of the ocean is pretty difficult but me and Odenia found an easy way to do so" She smiled shyly at him.

Drake: "By the amount of blood on the ground, that is no 'small cut', my friend," he said, looking back at Julian for a moment, before looking around for stuff to use. He found some bananas, which he took. He remembered he carried a handkerchief with him, as their ship's captain demanded all officers do for some strange reason. He pulled it out of one of his uniform pockets, and came back, to Julian. "Can you give me your leg?" Drake asked him, holding the handkerchief in his hands. He planned to wrap it around the wound, in an attempt to halt the flow of the blood. As Drake came over, he noticed marks on the boy's leg, that looked like something had already been wrapped around his wound, (Is dat legit?) Drake raised a skeptical eyebrow. "Did you already have something on this?" he asked, looking down at Julian.

Kai swims through the palace, heading to the throne room. He breifly considered informing his father of the human and Sirena's interaction with it, but decides against it, unwilling to risk his and Halia's tails.

Sirena swims into her room and stops suddenly. Someone had been in it. Her tiara box was on her set of drawers. Quickly, she opens the thing, immensely relieved to find it's shiny sapphires and pearls winking up at her. It was an heirloom, and had been passed down to the eldest princesses for hundreds of years. After putting it away, Sirena takes her largest seaweed bag to the kitchens, filling it up with food for the human who called himself Julian.

((It is with every bandage I've ever wrapped.))

Nymphadora decided to get something to eat, trying to take her mind off of freaking out Amicus. She hadn't meant to scare him like that. As she scarfed down piece of seaweed or two, she sighed. "It was my fault. Caspian has no reason to hurt the knight, much less execute him." She muttered. It wasn't like they had been doing anything sinful. "Oh, Sirena, my love." She had seen her daughter at last. "Lovely day, isn't it?" She hoped her daughter didn't hear her.

"Oh! Hello, mother. Yes, the day is quite lovely..." Sirena says awkwardly, trying to hide her bag behind her back. She did not want to explain why she had a bag full of food. The princess' mind statts churning as she tries to form a believable lie for the question that was sure to come.

Mizu:

Mizu entered her house, as he was impressed straight away. Compared to his house, which was a cave that he had managed to find on his own into a small mountain, this looked far more beautiful and practical! It was even homemade! "I think it's great! It's a very beautiful house you got!" Mizu exclaimed as he looked around her house with his eyes, almost as if he was a child in an amusement park, not entirely sure where to place his eyes. "Did you two really do this by yourself? That's impressive!" Mizu added as he sat down to where Freyja showed him and waited patiently, he wanted to ask if he could help her with anything, but being 'invited' for dinner was another think than 'making' dinner right? Or was he wrong?

Julian:

"I- I had, but that was before I fell off the ship... My mother tied it around there as I was injured while the boat crashed. It was gone when I woke up, so I don't know where it is now..." Julian lied to him as he felt bad for lying to the man that offered to help him, but he simply couldn't trust him. The mermaids didn't want humans to know about them, so he could at least try to repay his debt to them by keeping it a secret as good as he could, but hopefully limiting his lies as he didn't wish to make an enemy out of Drake. "T- Thank you for your help though.... I appreciate it," Julian stuttered out as he had washed out most of the sand in his wound, glad it was gone so it didn't hurt as much as it did before. "I'm Julian... who are you?" Julian asked him, as he realized he had yet to introduce himself and changing the subject was a good idea anyway, it didn't seem as he was rushing to change the subject, as introductions were normal, at least on a stranded island with only two persons, them.

"I'm Drake, A Mate aboard the Nike." He said, smiling slightly, but he sighed. "Julian, there's no need to lie to me. Your mother fell overboard while she was looking for you," he admitted, telling Julian the truth. "So, where did you get the cloth to wrap up your wound? And where's it gone?" He asked, looking down at the boy. He continued wrapping the handkerchief around his wound, even though he was asking him while doing it. "We were the only survivors of the ship, we should atleast be truthful with one another," he said, smiling softly, attempting to comfort the boy.

"Are you alright?" The queen moved closer, wary of touching her in case Sirena had a similar reaction as her brother. "You aren't sick, are you?" She barely glimpsed the bag behind her daughter's small frame. "And, what on earth are you hiding? Do you know how worried you are making your father?" She didn't reach for the bag, but hugged the princess.

"I'm fine, Mom. Just... going on a picnic! With Marina! Yeah. I'm going on a picnic with Marina." Sirena throws together the lie, adding in Marina when she sees her turtle floating lazily along the palace corridor.

"Ah, I see. Well, you had better get going then, hadn't you?" She kissed Sirena's cheek. "You have fun, but, come back soon, alright? I heard about a shipwreck and I can't stand the thought of humans in this area. Your father's even worse." Finally smiling, Nymphadora left the kitchen for a swim of her own, making a most forbidden trip to the surface.

Julian:

"I- I'm sorry... I- I didn't mean to lie..." Julian said as his lie had been easily found out, as he curled up looking at the handkerchief tied around his leg. Should he try another lie? Or should he tell the truth? Or maybe... what if he didn't lie, but didn't tell the truth? That could work out too... I found some sponge and a kelp washed up on the shore here, but it fell off when I was dragging you up onto land, since I didn't tie it properly before I saw you. So I quickly walked over to you, and it must have fallen off when I-" Julian stopped as the tears were fighting their ways up to his eyes, only the mention of his mother being thrown off the boat crushed his heart, as he looked down on the sand, instead of facing Drake. "... when I paid my respect to my family..." Julian continued, as he couldn't fight his tears, but there was no reason for Drake to see him crying, so he decided just to stare at the sand, looking at the waves slowly making their way up to shore and then down again.

"Come on, Mom. I'm a mermaid. I'll just drown any I come across, like we're supposed to." She gives her mother a smile and a kiss kn the cheek before swimming off. "Come on, Marina!" The turtle follows, faster now that she's got a purpose.

She smiled as she untied the head wrap she had on letting her hair start flowing all around her. "Thank you but it was mostly first made by my guardian, much of this is from her but ive added the finishing touches" She put the head wrap on a hook and went to a counter that had a cutlery set and decorations from different shells and antique kitchen supplies. "You dont mind your fish boned do you? I know some people like it that way" She put the fish on the counter and unwrapped it.
