I've been well trained, too. Celebrated 20 years married back in January. I must be doing something right!
 
Uh, just to clarify, neither Kaerri or I are "trained" if I get your meaning. Kaerri and I really aren't like most couples - we're a true team. It's 50/50. We accepted and loved each other as we were and really didn't seek to change each other. As such, there is no "alpha" and no "bitch" if you will in our relationship.


I don't think we would be romantically attracted to one another if one of us was the "bitch." I for one can't stand a partner who doesn't have a backbone (you don't need to be Wonder Woman, but at least be willing to fight for something you believe in instead of just automatically giving up). Kaerri will stand up for herself, and because she can and does, I respect her.


And what woman, what person, doesn't like to be truly respected for something she honestly is? =)

What possibility is there of Oti knowing anything of the composition of the Army of the Black Fang? Being a Half-Elf, I think he'd be worried about people's reactions to him considering all the previous interactions he's had to date.

Only that which he learned in Summerset - the Army of the Black fang contains orcs, ogres, ogre magi, and giants (among other things). Last Oti heard, they were led by a horribly-evil blue-scaled dragon whose bite is death.


As for being a half-elf, The first is the Wild Elves are out to kill or otherwise "bring to justice" what few half-elves are left (a precious few to be certain - it is extremely likely that Oti has never knowingly met another half-elf). Given the few elves that go north of Summerset, he may be mistaken for one as the Wayfaring Wanderers get closer to Highwind.
