Futuristic ARK: Survival of the Fittest (Closed)

Roan felt a bit let down as he heard her quick dismissal. Why couldn't he have it easy like Jack? It seemed as if Anna was always annoyed with him.

Vera giggled before nodding, "Sure."

Anna was quiet for a moment, "I'm sorry, I'm just," she gestured to the door. "Frustrated." she shook her head, "We're gonna be here for a while, we should try to get along." She walked back over to the bed, "I'm gonna check your bruises."

Jack smiled, she was fun when it came to stuff like this, "Alright," he nodded, "I'll be right back, gotta let Janus out before she makes a mess downstairs." He ducked down the stairs to let the wolf out. Janus decided she really did not like the rain, and very quickly did her business. She tried to go back upstairs, but Jack wouldn't let her while she was soaking wet. "Under the stairs," he pointed at her area under the stairs.

The space was bigger than the sleeping loft, it was hardly a small kennel, the wolf just did not like not being allowed upstairs and whined her protest, but listened to instruction and curled up with a Parasaur femur to gnaw on. "Good girl." Jack smiled and went back upstairs to Vera.

"Anna.." He sighed, letting her work on his back, "I think the only one of us thst doesn't get along with the other here is you. I actually really enjoy being around you..."

Vera giggled, "I guess she didn't like the rain?'

"I just," Anna shook her head, "I don't like being trapped, I'm sorry!" The medicine was working, Roan's bruises had made significant progress, almost completely gone thanks to the medicine and the man's own healing abilities. "I like being around you too," she whispered, hopefully lower than Roan could hear.

"Would you?", Jack asked pointedly as he knelt down in front of Vera. "You ready?" He put his hands on her shoulder and brushed her hair away from her front, glad she was wearing cloth instead of hide. It was easier to feel through, he found.

Doesn't seem like it... Roan thought, "I can move the bird..."

"Well, I dont suppose so," She said as he brushed hair from her front.

"You can?", Anna brightened at that, "But it's raining, isn't the bird gonna fight you on that?" The way Ra was huddled against the inside corner of the porch, he probably wouldn't be interested in getting wait.

"Ready?", Jack gave her a second to get ready before doing his thorough investigation of the claim of squishiness.

"I mean.., yea, probably," He said, getting up and heading to the door, "But you're just gonna be frustrated all day otherwise."

"Ready," she said with a smile.

"No, I mean," Anna grabbed Roan's elbow, "I'll.. try to be more pleasant." She shook her head, "I'll just be trapped in my house anyway."

"Alright," Jack smiled and commenced his investigation, squeezing and feeling. He was trying to be gentle, he didn't want to hurt her.

Roan looked at her, "Well... you'd at least have the freedom to walk around.."

Vera found herself enjoying the attention just as she enjoyed the attention from the morning before. She giggled, "See?"

"My house isn't any bigger than yours," Anna gestured the limited space in the room, "And I'd just be cold." She shook her head and sat back down on the bed, "It's okay, we can stay here for a while."

"Yeah!", Jack nodded, "You're just a beatiful ball of squish, aren't you?", he chuckled at that. "Is there anywhere else that's soft?"

"Ok. If that's what you want," Roan said, moving to join her on his bed, "I'm sorry you got stuck in here."

Vera giggled, "I dont know. I dont really go around squishing myself."

"It's not your fault," Anna sighed. By now even she'd realized that she was what was standing in the way of her and Roan having what Jack and Vera did. "Do you want to give it a try?", she asked, gesturing between them, "Until the rain stops, anyway."

Jack giggled a bit at the mental image of Vera squeezing various parts of herself. "Well, I can tell you where I've found." He lightly poked her chest, "Here," he reached down to squeeze her butt, then her thighs, "Here and here," her hair, "Here, and..." He kissed her soft lips and winked, "Here." He sat back on his heels and smiled, "If there's any more, we'll be here for a while."

Roan rubbed his neck in uncertainty. What would be the point of trying if it were only for a short time? He hummed, "I.. I guess."

Vera smiled, moving to give him another kiss, "Well, i guess we will find out eventually."

"Okay," Anna didn't really think she'd have gotten that far, as in she didn't even know what couples did when they were alone, and that showed on her face. "Um..."

Jack giggled, "We can always go looking," he winked. His stomach growling reminded them they hadn't eaten yet today. "You wanna...", he looked towards the stairs down. He didn't have much by way of a kitchen, he'd just put a bunch of crafting stations down. But he did have meat and berries in his preserving bins, and a campfire and cooking pot. And a lot of extra wood and thatch for fuel.

"Well.. I'm gonna make a campfire to keep us warm," Roan said as he got into his implant to make one. He had spare supplies on him.

Vera smiled, "Yea, lets go eat. Um. I dont have any recipes on me though."

"I'll..." Anna realized all she had on her were berries. "I don't suppose you have any food, do you?" One of them might have to brave the storm to go fetch some.

"Oh, that's fine," Jack promised, "It doesn't have to be a fancy." He got up from their sleeping pallet, "Milady," he bowed and gestured down the stairs like a butler.

"Not much, no," Roan admitted, "I can go out and grab some. "

Vera laughed, happily leading the way downstairs, "I'll make us something anyway."

"At least put your hide back on," it was close enough to a raincoat he wouldn't be soaking if he was quick about it.

"I'm sure it'll be delicious either way." Jack smiled as he followed Vera downstairs, showing her where things were before clearing the table of mortar and pestles and putting another chair down. "I wonder if you could make your own recipes," he wondered out loud, "Like, make something and if it's delicious, wrote down how you did it." That way other people could make what you created, sharing the deliciousness.

Roan nodded, placing the campfire and lit it before putting his hide back on, "anything else you want me to grab?"

"I'm sure you can," she said and started cooking some meat, "Like maybe on a note or something."

Anna shook her head, "Just some food."

"i think i might try that," Jack thought out loud, "Just to see if we could." Actually now that he thought about it, they did have some materials to play with here, "We could experiment." At the word experiment, he realized Anna and Roan were probably trapped in their houses bored out of their minds. "Oh." That wasn't a pleasant thought, "I hope the others are alright."

Roan nodded, opening the door and coaxing the bird just out of the way enough to let him through. He saw no point in running to get the supplies. He would be soaked either way.

Vera looked at Jack. They probably were bored but there wasn't much to do for any of them, "I'm sure they're fine."

Anna stayed at the window, watching as best she could through the rain as Roan ran. "What do Jack and Vera do when they're alone?", she thought out loud, trying to figure out what couples did. If she and Roan were going to try being a couple, at least until the rain stopped, then she should probably figure that out. Except all she knew was that Jack and Vera ended up with Mate hearts, and were very comfortable touching each other. "Well that's not helpful." She shook her head and lit the campfire to add some heat into the room while Roan was gone.

"You think so?", Jacked walked over to a window and opened it to take a look outside, "Their houses are small, though, and I don't think they're heated- Is that Roan?" Looking outside he could see a figure walking about in the rain collecting things from the preserving bins and storage. "What's he doing in the rain?"

Roan took the stuff he needed for food and made his way back to his place. Stepping inside with drenched clothes, "Its kind of cold out there..."

Vera looked out as Roan headed back to his place, "Whats he doing out?"

"Yeah, it's raining!", Anna rummaged around to get Roan some dry clothes, but she didn't have a set on her. "Get those off, dry off!"

"I dunno, but he's gone back inside." Jack shook his head when he went back inside, "Must have been important, though." He decided that when the rain stopped, he needed to build covered walkways and places for the animals to take shelter when it rained. A change in the wind changed the direction of the rain, so Jack closed the window to avoid the spray getting in the house. They could find that out once the storm ended. "I hope they're alright."

"Ok, ok," He said softly, moving to instead put the food on to cook before finally working his clothes off. Guess what? Hide and water aren't friends, resulting in Roan having pry the clothes off of himself.

"Maybe he was hungry?" Vera suggested with a shrug.
