Futuristic ARK: Survival of the Fittest (Closed)

Roan finished his food and made his way to wake Jack, "You had your five minutes, time to get up."

Jack rolled to face away from Roan, trying to go back to sleep, but it wasn't really working. "Dammit," he muttered.

"Didn't you want to build stuff today?", Anna asked as she led Occisor, Thunder, and Cicero away from Gaia and Cherry, "A bunch of tiny cabins?" Jack smiled at building and then frowned at tiny cabins.

"Dammit."

"Maybe a workshop if you have the time and resources." Roan suggested, "Might be a good idea."

Jack rolled his eyes, "Well if you three had any vision, you could have a workshop integrated into your house, and we could have all had our projects separated." He stretched and yawned, "But now I gotta build a big one."

"I dont see a problem here," Vera said, "We can make the said amount of stuff and put it in one spot, really."

Roan smirked, "By the way, keep an eye on Cherry and Gaia, they have eggs."

Jack paused, "What?"

"Too late!", Anna laughed as the trio left on the raptors to go hunting.

Roan laughed as the trio took off, "Did you see the look on his face?"

Anna laughed as they exited camp and found themselves on the beach again. "These beach creatures are usually easy meat, right?"

Back at camp, Jack looked at the raptors and their eggs, then at the storage of resources. "You stay out of my space, and I'll stay out of yours," he decided as he started looking for a good space to start putting down foundations

"Really easy meat," Vera confirmed, "Even easier with the raptors."

"We should try for something in the snow too for the fur," Roan suggested.

"We can worry about pelts once we've restocked the preserving bin," Anna offered, "And use the meat we get from the pelts to keep making narcotics." That way the risk was lower if they failed.

Anna nodded and flicked the reins to get Occisor focused, "There's a herd of trikes up ahead," she said as she loaded her crossbow.

Roan hummed, "Wonder how fast we can take them out."

"Theyre herd defensive," Vera mentioned, "So once we hit them, dont sit still until they're dead."

"They are?"

"I saw a dilo attack one ans all the others in the area came to its defense." Vera said.

"Yeah," Anna nodded, "But, we've got three strong raptors and three armed humans to fight them. They can't hit you when you're behind them." She looked around, "As long as we keep the raptors doing that, they can't really get hurt, and we'll be able to shoot them as long as we use rocks and trees for cover."

"Pick your shots," there were four trikes, they'd have to outmaneuver them to get out of this unhurt, which turned out to be pretty easy when they could get on a rock and the raptors were smart enough to dodge the trike's horns for the most part.

Once the trio began taking their shots, it didn't take long to kill off the small herd of trikes. Soon, the raptors had a decent amount of meat in their inventories, though this wasn't near enough for that they needed, "That was pretty good but we need more."

"We're gonna need something bigger," Anna climbed a rock to look around and see what was on the beach, "Well, we can go further inland and try things there, or we can try and take on that bronto down that way," she pointed at said bronto, which wasn't really paying any attention to anything around it. Being that big it didn't have to.

"I bet something that big will give a butt load of meat," Vera commented, "We should go for that."

"I bet something like thst has a lot of carry weight..." Roan muttered.

"Do you have a saddle?", Anna asked pointedly, "And you know what Jack's gonna say if you tame it." If they even could tame it.

"We don't need it. Its just another mouth to feed. What does it offer us? Roan you broke the rule," Roan rambled monotonously as he listed the things Jack might say.

"Exactly," Anna nodded, "Besides, we're already struggling to feed our carnivores." She put another bolt in her crossbow, "Once we've got our bases covered, we can try and tame a bronto."

"I think it eats berries," Vera commented, "It can probably get a lot too. So if we find another one somewhere maybe we can tame it."
