By 2010, it was safe to say that most countries in the world were armed to bone. Between naval fleets, nuclear weapons, and drones, the world had reached a stalemate. Tensions would arise here or there, but it usually resulted in peace talks or at least some sort of truce. This continued for a long span of human history, until somewhere around 2024, when a president was elected in the Americas who had a very militaristic ideology. Neither party was prepared for the storm that this president would bring, or how much support they would find, given the tensions accumulated in the rest of the world. This president decided that it was time for someone to come out on top in the world and pose a true ruling force, to not only be #1 again but be the enforcer of peace and prosperity. Therefor a project called ‘Artemis’ began with the intent of creating a lethal and secret biochemical weapon that could take out a whole country with a single attack. with the single belief that if America had this weapon, others would stand down across the world.

Tests were running well and good, for two years. Then after an accident that the media caught few details of, the weapon that was being constructed as a part of Project Artemis, self-destructed in Northern America. This resulted in a detrimental outbreak of a virus that wiped out more than half of the population. However beyond killing the population, it mutated the corpses and seemed to “bring them to life”. A zombie outbreak as the younger generations started to call it. It spread quickly and with violence in the country. The world, which already harbored it's grudges against America, given this project, decided that it would neutralize the threat to prevent a global catastrophe. Nukes. Ground troops. Evacuation zones. Everything was done to prevent the outbreak from spreading to other countries at a fast rate. Within two years the countries eradicated many threats of the undead and left, deciding that North America was uninhabitable and quarantined off from the world, not to be touched, until much of the land either was clear of the dead, or clear of radiation.

There was one region though, that through all of the nuclear explosions, and the evacuations, remained surprisingly pristine and untouched by the wrath of the rest of the world. This region was called ‘Arcadia’. This region was unique in that, the zombie outbreak hit, but the city seemed more than prepared. However many groups tried to take advantage of all of the chaos that the outbreak brought about.

By the year 2028, many factions had established themselves in Arcadia, in hopes of creating a new future for America. These factions included the Guerrillas; a brutal group that seeks to take in the strong and enslave the weak, The Allied Resistance Movement or ARM; who stand up to the Guerrillas and want to create a new government that gives actual freedom and peace to the people, and The Veterans; who are remnants of the old United States Military who want to bring the country back to the way it was

Some smaller factions exist such as the Natives; who wish to return to the way of the country's ancestors and live off the land in peace and harmony, and the Purists; a cult of mostly junkies, the lost, and brain-washed, that believes they are the Chosen People, who must purge all those that are considered touched by the virus. There are also safe zones that remain neutral amongst the warring factions

As if the undead weren’t enough, Arcadia was now a warzone between differing ideologies. Only one ideology will come out on top. The question is can anyone win the war? Or will the dead come out on top? Who will be there when the rest of the world, finds out Arcadia still exists? Will anyone be left for the world to discover? Or will something brand new emerge?

After the outbreak and the rise of the Guerrillas many who remained in the North part of Arcadia formed ARMs in Morris Town, in order to combat the Guerrillas. Morris Town became a main base of housing, training, and operations for ARMs. Located in sector 21 is a stadium where training is held. 19, 27, 28: War Zone- appropriately named the War Zone, these sectors are usually where a lot of fighting goes on between the Guerrillas and ARMs, and occasionally the Veterans. The problem doesn’t end there. Due to constant fighting and battling and raiding in these sectors, the dead are often attracted here making small scattered hordes, or clusters. It is a dangerous area that most people avoid unless going to combat or scavenging for goods or loot
Zombie Levels: High
Faction Presence: All Factions occasionally

Upper Right Map:

4-18, 28-34: Night City- This city used to be a booming melting pot of culture, diversity, finance, business, and tourism. Tall skyscrapers and apartment buildings litter the city, leaving narrow streets. After the outbreak, the dead littered the streets however military presence soon vanquished a large portion of the dead. However a faction that called themselves the Guerrillas eventually and slowly took over and also gained access to the weapons the military used. Using the several skyscrapers in Sector 15 as a headquarters, the Guerrillas took over slowly and made Night City theirs. Sector 8 and 9 are warehouses and fishing spots where munitions are stored. Sector 10 is a power grid that allows the city to keep it’s lights on. Sector 29 is used for feasts, assembling raid parties, or hosting fighting events between members or slaves. The other sectors are used for housing or storage in the many skyscrapers and apartments. Sector 30 is known as the Red Light District and contains many bars and clubs where slaves usually serve the Guerrillas.
Zombie Levels: None
Faction Presence: Guerrillas

35-38: Night City Docks and Warehouses- After the outbreak the many warehouses and ports here became the workplace of those enslaved or captured by the Guerrillas. Here those who are enslaved organize, manage loot, as well as get rid of the corpses of the dead into the furnaces in some of the warehouses, or the water surrounding the port. This is also where the enslaved sleep.
Zombie Levels: Only captured zombies (used for sport)
Faction presence: Guerrillas

40-42: Dead Zones: Despite the Guerrillas numbers, they don’t have that many numbers that they can occupy all of Night City. Sectors 40 through 42 are known as Dead Zones, where no one lives (unless they aren’t privy to it). The Dead usually find their way into these Dead Zones in Medium Hordes, or large clusters. However the Guerrillas do routine scouting clean ups in which they’ll send a few parties to exterminate any scavengers, zombies, or run-away slaves in the Dead Zones, or at least keep the numbers low.
Zombie Levels: Low to High Clusters, Occasional small horde
Faction Presence: None, Occasional Guerrillas

48. Arcadia Mall- This was a booming mall before the outbreak. Many stores including gun stores, electronics, fireworks, vehicle dealerships, restaurants and hardware stores could be found within this mall. After the outbreak though it became a location of a big horde. Rather than taking out the massive number of zombies, they mall was blockaded. All entrances and exits were sealed. There are still ways in if scavengers are desperate or bold but a large horde awaits them.
Zombie Level: Massive Horde

Zombie level: Medium Clusters, Scattered groups
Faction presence: None.

50-57: Little Town- Before the outbreak Little Town was a middle class town full of gas stations, convenience stores, markets, and large retail stores. Zombie Level: Scattered clusters, small hordes
Faction Presence: Occasionally All of them

58: Roker's Prison- Before the outbreak this prison housed some of the most ruthless rapists, murderers, and criminals of all kinds. In fact after the outbreak many of these prisoners were picked up by the Guerrillas. When the outbreak first occurred though the prisoners turned the prison into a fortress for a while and got their hands on some good firepower and supplies. Eventually though a horde plowed through the prison. Few venture here now, although there are rumors of very good loot and supplies here, however no one has ventured inside to see if the horde or any of the ruthless prisoners remain.

64: Holmdel- A large town. Before the outbreak it was a low income town, with many smaller one floor houses or run down houses. Now it simply serves as grounds for the dead or scavengers. Purists are known to do occasional “purging” parties here, killing the dead or ‘impure’ survivors alike.
Zombie Level: various, usually medium clusters, scattered clusters
Faction presence: None, Occasional Purists

65. West Holmdel Safe Zone: A large Safe Zone that was prepared at the start of the outbreak. While it is large it is very impoverished and holding on by threads. Food is scarce, weapons and ammunition are low, and there is constant threat of the dead and Purists. Many factions would benefit from helping or taking over this Safe Zone, just from the sheer amount of people that would be enlisted/enslaved.
Zombie level: Occasional small horde attacks, scattered stragglers
Faction presence: Neutral

66: West Beach- This long stretch of beach has many crashed boats, and small lifeguard huts. While there aren’t many buildings there are many crashed boats and freighters that offer good loot. There are also many deer, boar, and rodents that can be hunted for food. There were once reports after the outbreak of a massive horde traveling up the coast, however as time passed the horde seemed to change course and vanish from the area. Small clusters remained
Zombie Level: Scarce stragglers, rare small clusters
Faction presence: None, Frequent Natives

While few ever venture here there are rumors of great amounts of wealth and loot.

The Factions

The Guerrillas

Description: What they possess in a lack of brains or tactics they make up for in extreme strength, numbers, and brutality. They kill without mercy and tactics are simple, crush our enemies until there are none left. Out of those who manage to survive, they are forced into the Guerrillas ranks as either slaves, those who are weak, and soldiers, those who are taken alive and show great strength and resolve. They’re little more then a symbol of barbarians in the new world, but underestimating them will result in your crush skull being amongst the foundation of what they hope to build

Goals: Simply conquer everything they see fit to be theres. They hope to destroy the weak and take over as much as possible.

Weapons: Primarily using heavy ordinance and standard military grade weapons that have been scavenged, the Guerrillas are also extremely talented in hand to hand combat due to there fierce relentlessness and brute strength.

Leader: (The group will be controlled by the admins until an application is approved for the position)

The Natives

Description: Not exactly Native Americans by ethnicity, this group hopes to follow in the path of the very first Americans and instead live off the land and live in peace. This, however, does not mean they are pushovers. They will fight to the last man to protect what they have built and face any and every enemy. They are extremely talented tacticians and can take down opponents in larger numbers through the use of traps and ambushes. To outsiders they are wary and untrustworthy, but will still aid anyone who seeks their help as long as it’s within reason.

Goals: To live in a way that respects the land and their fellow man. They simply wish to conserve the land and protect their territory and people.

Weapons: Not having the same weapon resources as other groups, the natives use single shot rifles, handmade bows, and other hand crafted weaponry like hatchets, knives, and spears.

Leader: (The group will be controlled by the admins until an application is approved for the position)

The Veterans

Description:
Holding on to what’s left of the old world. The Veterans are a group formed of former military hoping to preserve and rebuild whats left of the past United States. In their ranks are former well trained soldiers, scientists hoping to cure the epidemic, and any other people who will work there for protection from the outside world. Not very friendly towards people from the outside, the Veterans do little to help others and instead focus on themselves. They are, however, still very strong and when properly motivated can take down opposition with military precision.

Goals: To protect their interests and rebuild the US government, in hopes of making the world like it once was. Pushing for advancements in medicine and working towards a cure to stop the pandemic.

Weapons: Using military assault rifles, combat knives, frag grenades and other similar military hardware. The Veterans keep it simple yet effective, truly the American way.

Leader: (The group will be controlled by the admins until an application is approved for the position)

Allied Resistance Movement

Description:
It was only a matter of time before something rose from the ashes and rubble caused by the Guerrillas. Starting as a small group of rebels who had managed to survive the Guerrillas attacks, the survivors banded together to fight back against the brutal savages. As time went on more and more joined their ranks, until finally gaining the numbers to become the Allied Resistance Movement. A band of misfits coming from all walks of life, with the hopes of fighting to give Arcadia back to the people.

Goals: Their short term goals include opposing the Guerrillas in any and every way possible. Long term they hope to create settlements and farming to build structured communities, but wish to shy away from strict government rule. They fight for the people, even though at times their struggle seems futile.

Weapons: Not possessing the man power to obtain large quantities of weapons, members of ARMs are responsible for scavenging the wasteland for their own weapons and ammo. Since it depends on the person, their weapons can range from single shot rifles, assault carbines, shotguns, to anything else your regular doomsday prepper kept in the gun cabinet.

Leader: (The group will be controlled by the admins until an application is approved for the position)

The Purists

Description:
This group would be your typical cult type, being fed lies and pumped full of drugs, these wasteland junkies believe they are the only pure and enlightened ones. The result of these beliefs is that they will try to kill every living thing in the wasteland, which they consider purification, and will happily die trying to do it. Blitzed out of their minds on hardcore drugs, they are not a threat to be taken lightly as they will power through gunshot wounds and hits that would kill any normal man.

Goals: To kill all living beings and purify the wasteland of what remains. The making of and consumption of drugs are their main priority, they aren’t the best when it comes to long term planning.

Weapons: They use spiked ball bats, chains, shotguns, submachine guns, and anything else they can get their hands on.

Leader: (The group will be controlled by the admins until an application is approved for the position)

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. No godmodding or auto hitting.

2. Please no Mary or Gary Sue's.

3. This will be gory rp, with adult themes and scenes. That being said. Cursing and gore are more than ok. However with anything sexual please don't type out anything graphic and allude to a fade to black or time skip if it reaches that point. Love ain't dead in the end of the world as they say.

4. Please send all character profiles or major plot ideas or request for faction leader roles to myself. Once I approve you are free to add your character to the character page and begin posting

5. If you get into a scuffle with another player please consult them if any severe actions are going to take place (i.e. kill a character). If an agreement can't be reach consult me and we can reach a roll of the dice if need be.

6. I'm aware I made a big map. This is so that many people can start in different places and we will occasionally have major events take place to potentially draw people together. That being said if your character is moving across the map try not to exceed two sectors (numbers) per post. We want some realism. If your character is at the top of the map at noon dont make them appear all the way south in an hour lol. Let's also not ALL group up in one area to start with.

7. Please warn us if you will not be posting frequently. I get that school and work are a thing as well as social lives, and vacations. If you aren't going to post for over a week please warn us and whoever you are interacting with. Failure to do so will be met with a warning and then removal if it persists. I'm just asking for communication

8. To ensure that you read the rules, please add a zombie gif, and or image to the end of your character profile so I can ensure you read the rules. Can be any type of image or gif so long as it's a zombie, letting me know you read the rules. Failure to do so, may result in me not replying, even if your character is bomb af

9. I'm gonna set a limit of two characters per player for the time being. I can be flexible though, especially as the rp progresses.

10. semi-lit, to lit please. More than two paragraphs, with substance. If you have writer's block thats fine, work with us, or take your time, but communicate.

11. I'll add more rules as need be, as right now I'm drawing blanks, but have fun!

An investigation on how the zombies operate

  • Zombies seem to move slow for the most part.

  • They are attracted to light and sound.

  • Bacteria directly seems to be the way of contraction be it by deep scratches or bites more commonly

  • Zombies seem to heard together, especially to sound

A frosty heart....

Rachel Devlins
░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░
Arcadia. A land littered with flames and smoke, the thick stench of rotten flesh, empty casings giving off the residue of gunpowder, and corpses on corpses both motionless and moving. The sun began to peer over this land, and while for the moving corpses that littered it, this made no difference, for many remaining in this land, it was the sign of another day. This was another day to survive, explore, gather, and rebuild. In this land called Arcadia there was a city, previously abandoned, but now walled up and covered with guards. Formerly littered with the dead and now filled with murderers and maniacs, Night City was one of the first to be struck with this early morning light from the sun. This light peered into the room of one Rachel Devlins, a tall, raven haired woman, who opened her bright eyes to peer back at the light that had met her face through the window. She closed her eyes in resistance, trying to continue the dream that had been unfolding in her mind, but to no avail.

Figuring there was no point in resisting, Rachel gave in, and opened her eyes again, before propping herself up on the bed, swinging her legs over the side, and stretching her arms over her head, her abdomen also tightening in a stretch. Letting out a soft sigh, a smile met the woman's face, as she peered out the glass block window of her studio apartment that she called "home". One of the perks of being aligned with the Neanderthals called the Guerillas, was that they had the remnants of Night City on lock, meaning that they had views for days in many of the cleared out, tall buildings.

Rachel's view in particular looked out to the main plaza of Sector 15. While most of the Guerillas didn't go up too high when choosing apartments, mainly in fear of the generator failing while they used one of the elevators, Rachel didn't mind the stairs, so eight stories up, she loved the view of the ants below. The sunlight brought life to the plaza, as many Guerillas, workers, laborers and civilian inhabitants, began moving out of the different buildings, and going to their different tasks. 'Like drones' she thought to herself. Despite all this time in the new world that was filled with the dead, they still needed work, tasks, and to be told what to do.

While Rachel was exempt from drone work, she was aware that she had work to do, not for the Guerillas, or even their leader necessarily, but rather for the betterment of the future she wanted for herself. Moving her bare legs away from the window and toward the bathroom, she began unbuttoning her oversized shirt that acted as sleepwear, and made her way into the bathroom. Turning the valve for the shower, she waited as water fell, but was a bit disappointed to find that the water didn't get any warmer. The boiler must've been having problems again, if it wasn't a shortage of water or gas, as per usual. Rachel decided then to just wash her face and body with the cold water, deciding her hair would have to wait. Rachel moved back out of the bathroom and toward her wardrobe. She fumbled through the clothes in there, that she had accumulated over time, and got out a white button up blouse, and some black trousers. With black heeled boots, and socks in check, harness equipped, she was ready to take on her business.

Rachel grabbed her weapons and made her way out of the studio, and down the stairwell, at first not seeing many other, but with each flight, seeing a few more of the Guerillas that lived in the building. Once she made her way outside, she was met with the sight of trucks getting loaded up, grunts around fires drinking and eating breakfast, women children and weaker men cooking food at the tents, as well as some other grunts hauling boxes and crates. It seemed there were going to be a few scouting parties going out today.

"Usually you're up earlier than this" a voice called out. Rachel turned her attention to see Xander one of her more trusted Guerilla underlings.
"Oh I'm sorry. I'm on your time now? Did you get promoted?" Rachel asked with a smile.
"Just surprised is all, Rachel, din't mean nothin by it" he responded with a soft laugh. "I'm just itchin though. We got any work today?"
"Munitions are okay, but seems there's a lot of scouting parties going out. I think we should get ahead of the shortage. Get my gear and the boys after some breakfast. We'll head out toward Little Town. Pick me up at the munitions building" Rachel responded.
Xander nodded in confirmation and made his way to the breakfast tents.

Rachel in the meantime, made her way toward the munitions building. It was basically a former bank. That's where all the more short hand weapons and ammo were held. The warehouse sector had the brunt of the Guerillas weapons, but the bank held a good chunk of scouting gear. Rachel was going to do inventory before heading out. She needed to know how much they needed to bring back.

'Click...clack...click....clack' The sound of Rachel's heeled boots echoed throughout the bank vault, that constituted the Guerillas munitions center. 'Machine guns...5.56...These guys think ammo grows on trees around here' Rachel thought to herself, after writing more down on her clipboard. The list was complete. Supply was okay, but after the next scouting party, no doubt there would be a shortage. Between the dead, ARMs, Vets, junkies and just a majority of the Guerillas being mindless meatheads, ammo would fly right out the boxes today. With a prioritized list, Rachel made her way out of munitions, to find that a black Humvee was waiting for her, with Xander leaning on the front right fender, having a cigarette. To his left, adjusting her gun at the passenger side was 'Candy', or Candice, a blonde hothead, chewing bubblegum, muscular for her slender build, her arms littered with scars. She was mouthing off to Cody, a brown haired, early twenty's grunt, with a medium build who was on the mounted gun atop the Humvee. Rachel could see John in the drivers seat, bald, and older than her, having a cigar, shades covering his dark eyes, and a scar on his face, contrasting his darker skin. Finally Rachel's eyes met with Tom, who was bringing Rachel's gear to her from the trunk. The biggest from the group, with grey hair, but the muscles of a roided up Arnold. Easily the softest spoken of the group, but the most reliable.

"There you go ma'am" Tom said, handing the gear over to Rachel. Rachel nodded in approval, before heading to the back of the Humvee to lean on the trunk. Rachel took her heeled boots off, before sliding on her leather combat boots, tucking the bottom of the slacks in the boots, as not get caught on anything too easily. Removing her previous harness, she replaced it with a black, short sleeve, zip up thermal shirt, and over that a bullet proof vest. Next a mask came over her head that she slid down to her neck, as she wouldn't be needing it in the car. Gloves, an overcoat, and her utility belt followed, along with kneepads. With her gear equipped, she grabbed her Baretta from her previous harness, and holstered it in her belt, her knife in a different holster opposite the gun. She flung the sling of her MPX submachine gun around herself, and grabbed her military helmet and goggles, before Xander opened the passenger side door for her. "Oh what a gentleman" Rachel scoffed, before getting in. Placing the MPX on her right lap, and her helmet and goggles between her feet, she waited for the others to load up into the car.

"So, according to some scouts, there were some munition shops on the edge of Little Town, and some in Holmdel that weren't looted. I imagine with gun stores, some of the residents were strapped too so we're gonna search the houses around the stores too, if the Vets haven't looted them yet. Rachel started. Xander popped the key into the ignition, and turned, causing the Humvee to let out a loud roar. "It goes without saying, Munitions are priority. Everything else we make a note of for the others. People are always up for grabs if they survive. Comprende?"

"Yes ma'am" The rag-tag group responded, in familiar harmony. Rachel grinned at herself in the passenger side mirror. "Let's get this show on the road darlings" she said.

The Humvee took off, making it's way to the South gate, signing out, as the Guerilla scavs and scouts often did, to keep track of items and men lost, and before long the Humvee was on it's way to Little Town. Morning became noon, as Rachel watched the landscape change from an abandoned city of skyscrapers and old corporate buildings, into smaller two to three family houses, apartment complexes, and delis. The streets were narrow, but cars had either been taken before the apocalypse as a means of escape, taken by the survivors of Arcadia, or moved onto the sidewalks. The Guerillas had a few parties that would go out just to clear roads, and report on undead counts. Although the Humvee took as many routes as possible to avoid blocked streets, or some smaller clusters of the dead, eventually the group hit a road block at the edge of Sector 55, in Little Town.

"Alright team. The gun store shouldn't be too far. We can hike it here, before finding a way around to Holmdel" Rachel announced. Xander shut the car off as Rachel raised her mask up over her mouth and nose, and put on her helmet and goggles. The group unloaded out of the car, Xander making sure to lock it after everyone grabbed their weapons and packs. The group got into formation, and in a relaxed manner made their way past the cars that were blocking their route, before marching on forward to Bank St. where the scouting party had alleged the gun store was.

The undead were almost non-existent with only a few stragglers approaching the group here and there, only to be met with a quick demise by some form of blunt or sharp weapon. It wasn't long before the group happened upon the gun store in question. "Alright gang. Stick close.. we take what we can in..." Xander began telling the group the usual run down for a scav run, but Rachel's attention was away from them, her gaze focused on the upstairs window of the gun store. "COVER!" Rachel yelled. Instinctually the group scattered to the closest cover as a gunshot rang out from the upstairs window. Immediately the Guerillas started firing back at the window. "CEASE FIRE you fucks!" Rachel yelled. The group stopped firing almost immediately. "Jesus. We are here for ammo! Not to waste it." Rachel called out to them, a bit disappointed that her team reacted the way they did.

"Alright stranger. We just want some ammo, and then we'll go. We take what's in the store, and I'll overlook the fact that you shot at me" Rachel called out to the window emphasizing the me. Obviously they couldn't know who Rachel was, but in her mind she was almost insulted they didn't. Slightly peering her head out, she could ever so slightly make out a man in the window, holding a hunting rifle.

"Hell no! We ain't giving up this store. You best be on your way"

"Listen chief. I'm asking a second time here...Not a lot of people get that. You won't get a third. Let us take what we need, and be on our way"

"I SAID HELL NO LADY!!!"

.............................

A white cloth, slowly turned red, as it absorbed, and brushed off the blood on a knife. Rachel was squatting outside of the gun store now, her helmet off and her mask down. Taking a different part of her white rag, she removed more blood from her combat knife, before touching her lip with the tip of the knife.
"They never listen, do they. Is it cause I'm a woman? Are they dumb? Stubborn?
"Who knows Rachel" Xander said, with an exhale of his cigarette.
"My bet is on dumb, ma'am" Candy responded, chewing loudly on her bubblegum after her response.

There was a brief pause. "Alright. Go tear the place apart. Cody, you'll stand front and keep an eye for more" Rachel said, her gaze still on the four corpses in front of her, face down on their face. Blood puddled under their neck regions, and their hands were bound behind their backs. Rachel's eyes were fixated on the blood, and her attention so caught up, she didn't hear her team confirm, and move in. A smile crept on to Rachel's face, before she sheathed her knife, and pulled her mask back up, and put her helmet back on. Taking her MPX back into her hands as her primary weapon, she made her way into the gun store behind the rest of her team.

The air is thick with tension as Sergeant Jonathan "Reaper" Mitchell cautiously navigates the desolate streets of a once-bustling city. The distant moans of the undead echo through the abandoned buildings, and the occasional shuffle of footsteps keeps Jonathan on high alert. He moves silently, his eyes scanning the surroundings for any signs of danger.

The once-clear skies are now tinged with an eerie red glow from the setting sun. Jonathan spots a dilapidated store up ahead and decides to check it for supplies. As he approaches, the creaking of the rusty door draws the attention of nearby zombies.

Jonathan: (under his breath) Damn. Guess it's not going to be easy.

Jonathan swiftly enters the store, the smell of decay lingering in the air. He quickly moves to gather supplies, keeping an eye out for anything that might be useful. Suddenly, the sound of footsteps outside the store intensifies, and Jonathan hears the unmistakable groans of approaching zombies.

Jonathan: (whispering to himself) Alright, Reaper, stay sharp.

As the zombies draw nearer, Jonathan spots a back exit. He makes a split-second decision to head for it, avoiding a direct confrontation.

Just as he reaches the back door, a loud crash echoes from the front of the store. A group of zombies, drawn by the noise, stumbles in. Jonathan pulls out his pistol and carefully takes aim, dispatching the closest threats with precise headshots.

Jonathan: (to himself) Can't stay here. Gotta keep moving.

He slips out the back door, emerging into a narrow alley. The setting sun casts long shadows, and the distant wails of more zombies remind Jonathan that he's never truly alone.

As he continues through the city, Jonathan spots a flicker of movement in the upper floors of a nearby building. Curiosity piqued, he cautiously approaches, weapon at the ready.

It seemed to Rachel as though the gun store had only recently become a home to the very survivors she had slain outside. As her and her team swept the building, makeshift cots, sleeping bags, and random supplies were scattered around along with some lanterns like one would use for camping. The gun locker in the room behind the cash register had already been opened. It seemed someone had hit the gu store before the now dead survivors, however it seemed that only bigger, badder guns were taken with handfuls of ammo, as some weaker rifles and carbines remained. Not to Guerilla standard, but better for the enemy to not have it. Rachel's team moved to the upstairs, to continue sweeping, but the raven haired woman found herself noticing a shift in the floorboards. Taking a step forward and back again she felt the floor moving a bit under rug in the back room of the first floor.

Kicking the rug to the side, a cellar door was revealed. Rachel took her silenced Beretta out of it's holster and grabbed the latch of the door, blifting while aiming. Grabbing a small flashlight from her harness she shined into the cellar. 'Jackpot' she thought befre pulling her mask down and letting out a loud whistle. Footsteps followed frantically down the stairs and her team was with her within moments. "Well. Looks like the owner was a bit of a prepper. Gather the better stuff that you can carry. Load up the duffle bags with all the ammo though" Rachel commanded. The team made their way down into the cellar where, the owner had hidden AUGs, AKs, G36s, M4s, and so forth. Assault rifles, clearly meant for when the shit hit. The team walked around grabbing what ammo boxes they could into their duffle bags and loading up one or two assault rifles on their slings. As Rachel shined her light around a skeleton caught her eye. There was a dry blood splatter above it's head and revolver by it's hand. "Must've gotten bit early on and decided to go out on his own terms" Xander assessed from the other side of the cellar. "A damn shame. Those doom preppers make good soldiers" Rachel said, squatting down and grabbing the revolver, to put into her duffle bag.

The team made their way out of the gun store, loaded up with the best stuff they could carry. Once outside however they realized the dead had been attracted by the sound of that survivor's rifle earlier, as well as some of the Guerillas' unsilenced guns. "John, go loop around for the Humvee. Xander. Go light the match. The rest of you help me clear these freaks." Rachel ordered. John dropped his duffle and extra firearms and took off in a jog back toward the Humvee, while scanning for unblocked routes for him to pull around. Xander turned and lighting a cigarette made his way back into the gun store. The rest of the team, Rachel included took their side arms and melee weapons and approached whatever dead approached the perimeter.

Rachel used her knife to plunge into the brains of some of the Zeds, a smile forming under her mask with each strike. It wasn't long before Xander walked back out and joined the fray. The stragglers were taken care of as smoke filled the air. The gunstore, suddenly got brighter inside, as fire began to spread through the interior.
"A damn shame about some of the other weapons in there" Xander said continuing to smoke his cigarette. Rachel took her rag again and polished the blood off of her knife. "No need to take chances. If we were followed, or if we don't come back for some time, I'd rather the other factions not find what we couldn't carry" Rachel said. "Now where is John with that Humvee" Rachel asked.

Suddenly a gunshot rang out. Cody cried out in pain and fell to one knee, before scurrying behind cover. "Get down!" Rachel yelled. The team scattered behind dumpsters and into alleyways, all the while more gunshots rang out from a distant roof, and the gun store caught fire. 'Has to be a sniper. Veteran scout maybe? Where the fuck is John with the Humvee?' Rachel thought.

As Jonathan cautiously approaches the figure in the corner, he realizes that something is off. The survivor's movements are erratic, and her eyes are clouded with a vacant, distant gaze. Before he can react, the survivor suddenly lunges at him with a guttural growl, revealing her true nature as one of the undead.

Jonathan instinctively steps back, narrowly avoiding the attack. He quickly raises his pistol, firing a precise shot that puts the zombified survivor down. The noise, however, attracts more attention from the surrounding area.

Jonathan: (grimacing) Just what I needed.

As the echoes of the gunshot fade, the shuffle of approaching footsteps grows louder. Jonathan glances around, realizing that he needs to leave the building before more zombies converge on his location.

Swiftly retracing his steps, Jonathan descends the stairs and exits the building, only to find himself surrounded by a growing horde. The narrow alley that once seemed like an escape route now feels like a trap.

Jonathan: (muttering) Think, Reaper, think.

Spotting a fire escape on the adjacent building, he sprints towards it, narrowly avoiding the grasping hands of the undead. With a burst of agility, he ascends the metal stairs, finding refuge on the rooftop.

From this vantage point, he surveys the city below, realizing the dire situation. The setting sun casts long shadows over the urban landscape, and the city that was once alive is now a playground for the undead.
