Fantasy And We Go from Nothing to Something

"That was a lie.", he said softly. "If you look, the calendar says nothing but my work schedule...as an Alpha, sometimes I can share images, and to an unsuspecting mind, I can make them see what I want them to see. But I assure you this does happen sometimes...not so often as once a month, but more often then I'd like", he hoped she wouldn't yell at him for tampering with her head to much.

Sarah growled lowly. "You...you 'shared images' with my 'unsuspecting mind'?" she was on the verge of yelling at him and just letting it go, considering he was in such a horrid state and they may have messed with his head. "I...you know what? I'll be okay, so long as you promise never to do that to me again. Promise?" she raised an eyebrow.

Sin chuckled gently, but then got serious. "I refuse.", he crossed his arms. Even when he was so sick, so hurt, he managed to look official. He slowly sat up and kept a stern look on her. He gave no reason for his refusal, he just refused.

Sarah visibly winced, thinking he'd comply. She merely lowered her head and nodded. "Fine. As you wish Alpha," she murmured and sat back, eye back on her hands. It kinda hurt that he didn't want to give her her own privacy of mind but she'd get over it. Soon...maybe.

"It's not about privacy", he said simply. "Your mind mends a little to the minds of all the wolves. You still have your own thought's but it's like you have a constant connection to them. The closer you become to the pack, the stronger it gets. I have a hand in everyone's mind to keep peace and to make sure you all don't get everyone killed..."

She nodded. "I just wanted you to stop fiddling with my memories and thoughts is all," she murmured to almost herself. Sure, she understood him keeping her mind open but could she not think what she wanted? To force someone to change their memories about someone or to make them forget what they saw is not living.

Sin's plans were never to tamper with her memories at all. He had just wanted to make her stop worrying. He felt bad that she was currently upset, but was unsure of how to say it. Then, he thought for a moment and flashed a picture to her via the line. It was of how he saw her. She stood at the window, the snow outside like the perfect backdrop. Her hair was wild but beautiful, and the setting sun basked around her like a heavenly light. It was the moment before she had left him last time. A special moment indeed.

Her head was to her chest when she jumped, the picture flashing suddenly into her mind and vividly. It had been a while since she had seen herself like that. Sort of...open. When she changed, she shrunk down to half her size until they left the cell and still then she had slunk round. When she saw herself, she never really realized that she had gone back to herself until she thought about it. Sin...Sin helped her back to her feet. She looked up to him, blinking with confusion. "Is that...?"

"When have I...Do you see me like that?" she lowered her head, peering up at him through her lashes. Her blue eyes searched his face for an answer, mind replaying that picture over and over, wishing it was a hard copy. What? It was a pretty picture.

Sin yawned. "It was just a memory, a flashing fleeting moment from my mind to yours...but I can alter it, yes.", he flashed the picture again. This time, it looked like they were on the beach, but she still stood there, basked in light and looking like a blue eye goddess. The sun glistening off her skin as she smiled gently at her. Around them, the sights and sounds of the beach. Seagulls, people, the ocean. And even smells! A if they had actually gone to the beach.

Sarah growled. "So you can oh so easily make me look like that? Change how I look to fit your liking?" blinking as she could smell the comforting smells of the beach. She had lived on it for a while with her parents. Until she moved off of course. She noticed how she had gotten paler over the years and Sarah hated it. In the picture, it looked kinda good with her red and tussled hair but it had to be too good to be true.

Sin shrugged, "I just added a back-drop. Natural lighting took over. But, compare it to the original if you doubt it...", he looked out the window as a fresh layer of snow was cascading down the window from the heavens.

Sarah just sighed and shook her head. "Well, it was a good picture while it lasted," she ran a hand through her hair, wondering what to use to make it look like that once more. He obviously liked it. "I should be out running," she grumbled. "But it's kinda...nice to play nurse," she murmured.

He flashed another picture of her dressed as a nurse, although, it was completely on accident! In his weakened state, his mind had troubles keeping to itself, and the image of Sarah dressed in a skimpy nurse outfit sort of just popped up like spam mail. His face grew a million shades of red, because he knew it had been shared. "I-errr-fffffffffff", and then he started to cough. A mix of trying to avoid whatever was coming his way, and to stop the burning sensation in his chest.

Sarah blushed deeper, never seeing anything-was this what it was like to be in a man's mind?! "Sin!" she barked but grabbed the rag, ready to clean him up if he started to choke. "J-Just breathe," she was trying hard not to slap the patient, hands shaking in confusion and rage. Why would he send that to her?! Was it not enough that she was opening up to him? "I...I thought you said I wouldn't look good in one," she laughed, almost bitterly, eyes burning into his.

"It was an accident. I didn't mean to share it. In my weakened state, the line between my mind and those of the minds of pack members around me weaken. It's a defense mechanism...if an Alpha is rendered speechless or something while injured they can still instruct the pack without much effort...It's why I try to keep others away. That emergency range is only about thirty feet...so if people stay out of my room and away from the door I can be at peace with my thoughts...."

Another unwanted image flashed, or rather a memory. Sin was younger, and his room was different. His head rolled over to look at a mirror against a wall. Reflected back was Sin, child Sin. He was so tiny for his age, his limbs thin, but covered in bandages. Tears stained his face as he stared blankly at the mirror. Outside, screaming could be heard. All sorts of wolves, voices all around. Scared. That word came to mind. From seemingly out of no where, a large arm appeared, wrapping around Sin and pulling him backwards a big. A face appeared, one with kind eyes and wild brown hair. He was covered in bandages, and older boy who looked like a different version of Sin. He had the most amazing grey eyes. "Don't cry Sin. Just Breath, it will stop, it always does..." Soul. That word also came to mind.

A gasp escaped her, tears starting up. The wave of emotion from the word. When he said scared...it filled her as much as it did he. She bit her lip. "Holly told me about your brother, Soul. She said that was when you started closing people out and that she was surprised that I had gotten so close to you," she murmured, sniffling and wiping up tears once more. She had already forgotten about the stupid picture of herself in that stupid outfit. "Sin, I'm so sorry. I know everyone else says that but I really am. I never had a sibling, so I wouldn't know but..."

Sin rolled away. Suddenly, he was very upset. Holly had told. Holly told, for all she knew still a runaway, about his brother. A subject so sensitive Sin had once killed a wolf for defiling Soul's name. And Holly had told the story as if she had the balls to claim it as her own to tell. Sin was never mad at Holly, but now was different. And his anger bubbled inside him, he growled, unable to control himself as he shifted. He snarled at Sarah, his fur on end, and a single tear running down his eye. "YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!!!!", and then he ran. His long less propelling him across the room, and in a black blur he had escaped out the window. He couldn't stop himself from running. He felt so violated, because he had trusted Holly. Because he had trusted Sarah.

He wasn't sure where he was going, he didn't care. The snow flowed down, covering his track almost as fast as he had created them. He sobbed to himself. The first time of thinking about Soul for so long, and Sarah had seen it. She had seen Sin at his most vulnerable, at his absolute weakest. It sickened him and hurt him. He wanted to look strong, not like a bumbling weakling.

Sarah flew back, his shifting nicked her under the eye and tossing her down to the ground. You don't know anything! His words echoed in her ears, tears still flowing, mixing with the blood that wouldn't heal for some reason. Maybe because an Alpha gave it to her. She didn't know. The long of anger and pain in his eyes. The snarl and the tears. It hit her directly in the chest. You did this! Her own voice echoed, blaming her. She shifted and followed his scent, knowing he was weak and it was too dangerous for him to be out in the cold. She followed his paw prints, head low and tail tucked but ears half raised in case she heard him. Her own tears and blood dripped off her muzzle, making hot splotches in the snow next to their prints. But she dared not to make a noise.

Sin continued to cry as he ran. He could barely see as the thick snow just kept falling. He trusted very few people, in fact, he could count the ones he really trusted on a single hand. And Holly was one of them. But now, he felt like his world was upside down. Holly hadn't told anyone for more then 10 years. And now suddenly she told someone they hadn't even been in the house of a month!? He just ran more, not caring as his chest busted with pain. He didn't want to be around anyone. He wanted to be alone. Because he felt like he had no one to trust anymore.

Sin ran up onto some rocks, but they shifted under his weight. He yelped as they collapsed and fell down onto him. He let out a yelp of pain as the rocks pinned him down. A wet familiar feeling choking him. He tried desperately to cough up the blood, but the rocks weren't helping. He snorted and coughed until he could breath again, whimpering softly. It hurt...so badly....

After 20 minutes, Sin was almost completely cover in snow. He had used Alpha speed to escape Sarah, but now it backfired. The snow came down like sheets, and he saw something approaching. Soul...have you come to take me with you?...

Sarah, slinking after the man she'd made cry, heard a yelp and choking. She sprinted full speed, the snow piling on her then sliding off her pelt. "Sin? Sin?!" she cried, frantic now. Under the clean scent of snow there was blood. She raced forward, a glimmer of red and pink catching her eyes. She found him under the rocks and snow.

She let out a whimper, moving close to warm him. She licked the blood away from his nose and mouth, her tears and own blood freezing under her eyes. "Sin, oh god, it's all my fault! I'm so sorry!" she began throwing her weight against the rocks, some cutting shallow cuts in her shoulders as she broke him free. "Stay still! I-I don't know if anything's broken," she leaning into the wind, trying to keep her balance.

Sin looked up weakly at her, for a moment, he didn't know who it was. His mind was fevered like the rest of him, and he was barely aware of what was going on. Holly usually locked him in his room, and Sin never opened the window. so, she didn't look at the window when she left. He felt something warm, a soft panting on his face. He whimpered softly, his mismatched eyes looking up at her with a tired look. He made a gentle murring sound as he licked him, it felt good and soothed him. He nearly forgot he was being crushed by rocks until she started to move them.

He growled and struggled wildly under the rocks. One by one they tumbled away and soon, Sin dragged himself out of the rubble. His pelt was littered with pebbles and cuts. He walked on wards from there. His mind was clouded, and he just walked on instinct. He wasn't mad anymore, his feet driven by the pain in his chest. His left front paw dragged lifelessly as he made a hobbled walk. He only got a few paces away before collapsing back into snow. His breaths stopped being so rapid and wild, they slowed as he stared into an abyss.

Sarah moved quickly to stop him, her chest against his and her head resting on his neck, pushing him to sit. "Stop, Sin. Please, you're hurt. Please, I'm so sorry. Come on, I'll take you home and I promise to shut up and you can make me an Omega and beat me up everyday, I don't care but please come back to your room," she pleaded into his ear, still sobbing.

She couldn't held but feel his heart against her shoulder. It was way off rhythm, almost as if it was throbbing. With him on the ground now, she paced, looking and sniffing for help. A determined look flashed in her eyes and she moved her head under his chest, careful not to hurt him. With a final push, he was on her shoulders. She staggered a bit, him weighing much more than him. "I...I can carry you only so far...Sin...you gotta....you gotta get better," she panted already, stumbling after the splotches of her blood on the ground.

The alpha watched her with tired eyes. In the moment, he didn't know who she was. His head hurt, and his chest did too. Each breath was more work for him as he laid in the snow. The storm didn't care as it kept cascading down snow into a deep blizzard. Soon, it was so heavy, it was impossible to tell which way home, and the scents were all mixed together. They were lost in the woods, how fun.

Sin coughed on her back, his body sliding one way and tumbling off her smaller frame. He grunted weakly, dragging himself in a random direction. He had no idea where he was going, but his mind told him home was this way, and so his paws tried desperately to fallow
