02 knew he couldn't relent. Once the arrow burst with spikes, he quickly nocked another and shot it towards the wolf's forehead. Not bothering to see if the arrow connected, he nocked the next and fired it at the base of the wolf's front right paw, and would do the same with the last arrow for his left paw. If they connected, they would once again burst out with earthen spikes, with the case of the arrows in the wolf's paws, it would connect with the ground, melding with it, piercing straight through the wolf's paws and pinning them to the ground, unless he ripped them out.

01could hear the wolf's cries of pain, but he knew that he and Aria had little time left. He buried his scythe as deep as he could into the wolf's stomach, the tip poking out of the wolf's side as he began to slice it open, farther and farther, trying to create a large enough hole for him and Aria to escape through.

Kotsu chuckled at Denton. "You ain't in much a position to give orders. Lucky I don't want to kill you." Kotsu sucked the air as he realized he probably shouldn't have said that. "Fine though." Kotsu dove toward the tree, careful to make sure not to hurt Denton as he took the brunt of all the branches and twigs with his arms in front of his face. Kotsu sighed as he felt his body healing from the injuries almost immediately. "Here." Kotsu said, placing Denton down gently. Kotsu used some of the twigs, branches, leaves and the salve to create a natural binding of sorts to help Denton with his injuries. He'd worked in the medic tent long enough to see how a soldier reacted with broken ribs and could also smell the marrow from his bones. Smelled good.

"Look Denton. I got a lot of questions for you. But that'll have to wait. I remembered where I've placed you. I've got half of this salve stuff left that the Joes gave us. Should be good enough since we all got one though. Rest here. Pull out your gun, and here. Take this." Kotsu tossed Denton his ear piece in case Denton's broke. Kotsu's was fine as his arms and torso took the brunt of the twigs and leaves. "I'll be back for you with everyone else."

Hopefully.

Kotsu shrugged. "Aw, what do you know?" He said in annoyance, smacking his head before zipping up the trees with his whips and launching himself using his own speed and the gained speed he received from the trees. As Kotsu neared the area he noticed the wolf was nowhere to be seen even though he had been huge before. Kotsu could hear his whimpers though. "Well I'll be damned. They did it. Now I just gotta gut him and stuff him with rocks." Kotsu said, still thinking this was the Little Red Riding Hood fable.

The howl Marty let out as Joe and Aria cut themselves free of his stomach was loud. It pierced the heavens. He cried, tears streaming out of his yellow eyes. The two people in his stomach both came tumbling out.

Marty limped forward a few paces, blood pouring out of where his guts used to be, and collapsed. Morgan climbed to her feet. She put a hand to the puddle of wolf blood, tapping it for power. She created a small spear of iron out of it. The woman was obviously pissed, hatred in eyes, hair wild from the wind. She buried the spear into the wolf's head, enough force it went through the skull, down through the jaw, and sunk through into ground.

Morgan pulled it free. "Denton dead?" She asked.

Kotsu shook his head.

"Good." She looked at Aria and Joe. "You two okay?" Morgan breathed out a sigh. "This went mildly better then I was expecting."

Marty groaned. Everyone quickly went back on guard, preparing to strike him again. The wounds he'd sustained were slowly starting to heal, tendons and muscles stitching back together. Bones reforming into place. Nerves reconnecting. Marty shook his head, blood flying off his fur. He started to shrink, going back to his original form. Marty glanced at his van, noting the damage, and frowned.

He limped over to it, opened the passenger door, and came out with another cigar. He lit it.. "Jesus Christ. Good fight. You guys hit really hard."

Clayton chuckled at the wolf who was crying a minute ago. His demeanor didn't change when the wolf healed back up and went to his car like nothing happened.

"Get outta here, this ain't fur pussies!" He kicked the wolf then looked around at the mercenaries "Which one of you is in charge?"

Kotsu squared his shoulders, ready for combat. "Yeah, and you ain't even felt the group attack as a whole yet." His fangs still poking out of his mouth until he seen Aria had most of her clothes burned off of her and started blushing, his eyes returned to normal and so did his fangs. Quickly he used his costume over her so that he was left standing in his trench coat showing his combat armor underneath. "Now are you ready to die for the crimes you've committed of butt touching Joe?" Kotsu turned to Morgan. "Yeah, he should be resting and healing. I patched him up a bit." Kotsu looked at Clayton. "Our Commander is dispatched for now. So it's up to either Ice Queen or me." Kotsu said pointing at Morgan.

01 panted as he was deposited onto the ground. His clothing was in tatters, and much of his skin had burns from the stomach acid. "I... really need a shower." He mumbled, he was coated in saliva and bile. He got to his feet and moved away from the wolf, it hurt quite a bit to move... but he knew he'd have to strike should something happen. "Is everyone okay?" He asked as he looked between Kotsu, Aria, and the others.

02 looked over at Clayton as he was asked. "Um... n-no, I'm not. Our leader should be here... somewhere..." He said, trailing off as he noticed that Denton was missing. He sighed and then rushed over to 01. He pulled out one of the tins of salve from his pouch and begins to apply salve to the burns, knowing they'd need immediate treatment. "Thank god you're okay." He mumbled.

01 looked over at Kotsu. "...Butt... touching...?" He asked, completely confused. "Um... Kotsu... he just ate me, he didn't do anything else. I mean, aside from being really crass and creepy..." He said, beginning to help his brother apply the salve to his injuries, feeling almost immediate relief wherever it touched.

"Which one of you is in charge?"

Morgan put a hand on her gun. "And who the fuck are you? Pretty convenient how you showed up like that."

Marty blinked at Kotsu. "Butt touching?" He looked at Joe 01. "You mean this old cow? No way. No thanks. Marty Wolf might be an ass man, but Marty Wolf draws the line at broads over forty-five. The one in the Red Hood is pretty cute, though, but she wasn't feeling the vibe." He puffed his cigar.

Morgan turned to the wolf. "What hell are you?"

He shrugged. "Marty Wolf. Sorry about the mayhem. I was just really fucking hungry. Weird, right? Something about red hoods and old women really gets the gut growling. Hehehe. So you guys live around here or what?"

Kotsu cocked his eyebrow at the scene. "Morgan you said he... Whatever..." Kotsu said, sighing loudly. "I'll be back. I'm gonna go grab Denton." Kotsu said, making his way over to where he last left Denton and gently picked him up bridal style and walked back over to the group with Denton in his arms. Kotsu looked back at Marty. "You're sentient enough to realize if you go around eating people, you'll be killed. So what makes you do that? If you want food, we can help you with that. But we won't abide by you eating people and killing them. We'll put a doggie down." Kotsu said, flashing an evil smile at Marty.

"And who the fuck are you?"

"Juss some crippy vampire stalkin you shrough the woods." Clayton snickered "No, but really some guy named Mish was tellin me about how Manacles pays."

Clayton put his hand up and pointed his fingers out like a gun "Didja see em headshots? You guys fucked em up fore I could show you my other shkills, but I'd be uh...asset. Yeah, an asset to the team. Wanna hire a deadsshhot vampire? I'm strong too like him." He pointed at Kotsu.

Kotsu cocked his eyebrow at the sight of the drunken vampire. He had wondered if this man was in fact able to be competent. First he'd have to lay off the alcohol since Kotsu could smell him from here. Kotsu tossed him a pack of cigarettes using his whip to test his motor skills. A match and strike stone provided in the pack.

Sam touched down and her hovercraft flipped to motorbike form. "Hey, buddy, you've got one of my drones in your throat," she called to Marty. She hadn't seen it fall out and it wasn't on the ground, so it must have been where it last was. "Can I get that back?" Apparently, the thing couldn't be killed. A threat you can't get rid of is a threat that's there's no point in worrying about.

Clayton was pretty sloshed, but even on a bottle of Jack, twelve beers and three shots of vodka he wad been a vampire for about two hundred years. Not to mention he had gotten used to snatching his pistols right out of his hostlers and headshotting bandits from a good distance even before turning. Catching the cigarettes out of the air was no problem for him, even if he stumbled forward after almost tripping over a root.

"Thanks for the cigarette." He said, smirking as he took one. He always preferred his beers and whiskeys, but what cowboy didn't smoke?

Kotsu smiled a bit. Maybe he wasn't just a drunkard. Maybe he could show Kotsu how to perfect his vampiric abilities. That's what he wanted Aria to show him as well. But maybe each vampire was different. Kotsu had a grin form even wider.

Gonna learn from all of them?

Kotsu laughed to himself. He knew he would. But Carmille would be the most interesting. When Denton woke up, he'd ask about her again.

Marty barfed up Sam's drone. "Sorry. It's probably a bit grimey. It hurt like a bitch, though." He looked closer at Sam. "Hey, you're a...all metal like. I thought I smelled something funny around the area. The human bits and the other stuff got all jumbled up in the nostrils."

. "You're sentient enough to realize if you go around eating people, you'll be killed. So what makes you do that? If you want food, we can help you with that. But we won't abide by you eating people and killing them. We'll put a doggie down."

"I don't think I can die man. I mean maybe?" Marty looked around. "I guess you guys got send to do the do? Put down lassie?"

"You can die," Denton said. "We just didn't do the steps in the right order." He looked at Kotsu. "One of us ran off before I gave the go ahead. This actually went very well besides." He put his hands in his pocket. Okay, the wolf was here. Not dead, but they had it surrounded. Also a vampire.

"Didja see em headshots? You guys fucked em up fore I could show you my other shkills, but I'd be uh...asset. Yeah, an asset to the team. Wanna hire a deadsshhot vampire? I'm strong too like him."

"Are here for a reason?" Denton asked. "It's rather strange how show up now. You're a vampire. Seemingly. Are you familiar with who we are?"

Marty Wolf said, "I'm sure as heck now. I mean I can get out of your guys' hair. It's no biggie. We're cool."

Morgan glared at him.

Marty shut up.

Kotsu looked at Denton still in his arms. "Listen, he's docile for now. I'm just not sure what to do with these two now. Vamp got skills. He could be a grunt for now. Not sure about the big bad. He's undying for now. We could change that. Or... We can utilize him. He'd be an unstoppable force on the battlefield for us." Kotsu said, cocking his head to the side.

"Of course I know what Manacles is! Who doesn?" The question was a little annoying to Clayton "Furr the recurd, if I dun drink whiskey I drink blood. I don wanna do it! Do that!"

Being forcefully turned by mages, the same ones who killed your family, was pretty horrible; horrible enough to piss you off for hundreds of years. He didn't want the fangs, the thirst, the extended life. He drank to subdue his thirst, and to cope with it all.

"I was convinzed, by..." Clayton realized he was slurring a bit "Mik-kish Cal-la-an. One a you should know em. He works fur ya. Hez on this island. Talked to em today."

"You can be a vampire without drinking human blood, you know." Kotsu said. "Haven't drank from a human since I turned. Even though they smell good. All you gotta do is smoke and drink on occasion. But don't succumb to the stuff." Kotsu said lighting a cigarette himself and taking a long drag. "It ain't good to be addicted to anything."

"Kotsu put me down," Denton said.

Kotsu complied.

Denton dusted himself off.

Mik-kish Cal-la-an. One a you should know em. He works fur ya. Hez on this island. Talked to em today."

Morgan and Denton both made faces like they swallowed a rotten hard boiled egg. Both were more than familiar with the name. Denton had used Mikkish on several occasions. Not the brightest bulb in the bunch. A good fighter, though. Powerhouse. Perhaps the vampire here could be of some use.

"A curious reference," Denton said as he eyed up Clayton.

"A terrible reference," Morgan said. "Mikkish is an idiot. I'm not just saying that to be a bitch. He's like literally slow. The second dumbest person I've ever met."

Denton almost asked who the first was, but he knew the answer before any words could leave his mouth. Some horrors were better left in the past. He shook the memories away, to much dwelling would have him dreaming of blue hair.

"Listen, he's docile for now. I'm just not sure what to do with these two now. Vamp got skills. He could be a grunt for now. Not sure about the big bad. He's undying for now. We could change that. Or... We can utilize him. He'd be an unstoppable force on the battlefield for us."

Marty shook his head. "I'm not really into the whole fighting scene man."

Denton pursed his lips. "Are you sure? My employers would be more than willing to have a creature of your talents."

Marty held up his hand paws. "Thanks for the offer, but I'm cool. I think the van should still be running. It'll need some work, but I'll split town, take the ferry out of here tomorrow morning. No harm, no foul. Does that sound okay? You didn't have to like bring back a wolf pelt, did you?"

Denton shook his head. "Only deal with the problem of the wolf eating people. This is claimed territory by Dionysus."

"Never heard of the cat." Marty blew a smoke ring. "I ain't trying to fuck with that, though. I'm a peace out." He grinned at Aria. "You sure we can't maybe go out for like drinks or something? I won't eat ya this time. You look like a bowling type of dame. We could bowl."

Kotsu glared at Marty. "Don't talk to her, don't touch her, don't even breathe while thinking about her or I'll be skinning you in a heartbeat." Kotsu's red eyes becoming evident again and his fangs starting to protrude. "After all, I didn't get the chance to fight yet. Only played hero for this jackass." Kotsu said pointing to Denton. "No offense." Kotsu said with a smile to Denton.

Denton was badly damaged. Fizzy felt the urge to go check on him however he couldn't let the wolf out of his sights, even if the creature acted calmly now, Fizzy still maintained a safe distance, holding a machinegun against it, useless, yet enough to keep it busy if it goes violent again.

"Denton you ok bud?" Asked through the earpiece

"C'mon man you survived a beating by that big bartender woman at Frankfurt when we had to crossdress, this is nothing"

The twins froze at hearing the name Mikkish Callanhad. Both looked at one another, before glancing at the drunk vampire. "...Mikkish... is a bad person." 01 said, feeling slightly uncertain as he said this. The few memories he did have of the young man... they weren't that great. They always felt... frustrating and disappointing. Very few memories associated with the name and face were pleasant ones. His burns had been completely covered by the salve, though they were down yet another tin. He then turned his attention to the wolf. "I'm also not an old woman, I'm a young man." He pointed out, feeling slightly annoyed with the wolf.

02 stood up and faced the wolf. "If we let you go, you have to promise that you will not harm another person or their property." He said, glowering at the wolf that had nearly killed his brother.

Where can I buy a pregnancy test?

Owl was typing it in on her phone, she has a vague understanding that things were happening around her that she should maybe sort of be paying attention to. Important things and vital stuff with imperative happenings and...

Wait does this mean Kotsu likes me? Holy shit it does!

Well all that stuff can wait.

Kotsu looked at Owl typing frantically on the phone and found himself staring at her a bit worried. He put out his cigarette and walked over to her. "Uh, hey Owl?" Kotsu asked her. "Sorry to bother you but uh, could I pick your brain for a minute, or are you busy?" Kotsu said, tapping his head as an invitation for telepathy.

Watching the gruesome scene before her Vivian watched as they spoke to the wolf, people in their own groups and Vivian in the back making sure nothing else snuck up on them whilst the others talked amongst themselves. She bit her lip as she smelled something very familiar in the air, coming from the newest addition in the group. Crossing her arms she rubbed them a little, she wasn't cold quite the opposite really. Sighing she looked back at the group and saw how everyone was interacting, smiling a little before going back to trying to ignore the faint smell that was filling her mind with ideas she thought she had long forgotten.

Marty Wolf agreed to go, no longer wishing to make trouble. All in all the battle had gone better than expected. A flawless victory for the most part. And no one died. Marty saluted while he left, driving off in his dinky van.

Denton hadn't been this perplexed by a supernatural encounter in a long while. He winced. It hurt to walk, like each step was somebody poking at his broken ribs. He dismissed everyone. The day had been full enough. Dionysus's next task could wait until tomorrow. Denton wanted time to rest, get off his feet. Adrenaline was still pumping through him from being launched into the sky. The way wind had felt, how he blacked out. God.

A sick little smile spread across his lips. It felt amazing. The danger, the possibility of dying being so freaking close. Sadly, a human body could only take so much before it couldn't go anymore. One of them pitfalls of leading and fighting against the supernatural. All it took was a one lucky, or not so lucky, shot, and boom. No more Denton.

Everyone broke apart, going back to the motel, and relaxing after a long morning spent in the woods
