"A damn fast lab rat if you asked anyone here except Johnny, who lives under his alcoholic rock." Tristin ignored the drunk scientist and turned to Thomas. "I guess I'm not here for just lab stuff, and I only have a few minutes before Dr. Vasiliev comes back."





Igor


Igor grunted and continued mopping the floor. "Next test is icicle chamber. You were drowned-er, free diving five minutes ago so you will be very cold." Igor guffawed and threw Tristin a scarf. It seemed like that was the only protection she'd be getting against sub zero temperatures. He walked away, saying something rude in Russian.


Tristin


Tristin looked at the scarf as if it was some kind of insult. She yelled at something in Russian back to him and Igor responded in one word. "Room mates? Sounds good then. I've always wanted a room mate, turns out I get lonely in my cell!"


Tristin scoffed and stormed off, going next to Thomas. "You can view the test from the second floor..." Tristin then ran up to Thomas and whispered into his ears. Her voice was oddly soft and calming, making it sound all the more convincing. "Please don't tell anyone about what happens in there. It's all sort of new, and they're not really going to want it all in public. Promise me, please?"

"Ah young love, you two have fun after this test..." I chuckle at Thomas and Tristin. "No but seriously don't get married, it only goes you down"

Igor briskly pulled out a chair and quite literally pushed Thomas onto the chair. "You will not leave chair until permission given. This is restricted access area and you will be vaporized if you leave the room without girl or me." He was oddly secretive about Tristin's name, since it belonged to a criminal Ringmaster of the same name.

Tristin stepped into the icicle chamber. She wasn't wearing the scarf. "Alright Doctor! I'm ready!" Tristin sighed and took a deep breath. She blinked over and over, putting a hand in front of her eyes.

Tim luckily dodged the kick, but which left him quite vulnerable, as the flurry of punches hit his face, before he could receive any further damage, he quickly backed away. Distraught at the fact that his revolver went right out the window, yet satisfied by the Alan's inclination to fight like a man, he too, decided to fight like the commoner, using his fists.


"Well, that ain't gonna leave me perturbed, put up your dukes!"


Tim lifted up his hands, all curled up, before taking the least intimidating he could ever imagine. He decided to perform an elaborate series of faux punches, before suddenly going for a deep underbelly hook. Whether that succeeded or not, was up to Alan's skills in manoeuvres and evasion.

Thomas nodded and leaned back in his chair 'What am I about to witness? They keep it so secretive but why?' he thought to himself before waiting to see what would happen.

The punches hurt. Well that is what punch does. The under-hook hurt but was unpractised. Still he took it. Then had a good laugh. "Put up your dukes, oh can I have a what ho good sir" Alan said in a mocking tone while circling around the room. While it was fun to mock Tim, Alan did have a reason for doing this. Moving along he grabbed his trusty baseball bat. "Now going to tell me why you broke in before or after I crack yer head open" Alan said with a sadistic smile. @Elephantom

"I am putting temperature down. Speed and temperature related. Kid, do you run? If you run in cold, you slow down." Igor gave a grim smile before pulling out a bottle of vodka. "What is your real name kid? Sir Prize is a bit surprising for a name. Besides, I can do creep research and get your name in a second." Igor pulled levers and dials.


Tristin


Tristin was prepared. Ice began snaking up the buildings and Tristin began to shiver, but shook it off. Suddenly, an icicle shot out of the wall. Tristin's eyes widened for a split second before she leapt up backwards and flipped away from it with speed and agility. However, the cold was quickly getting to her and she was slowing down. Another icicle was shot and this time it barely grazed her arm, creating a wound. Tristin was about to shout but she suppressed it, as if it happened before. Instead, she silently doubled in pain and held onto it.

Thomas sighed "I'm Thomas, don't tell people that. I prefer my performer name than my true one," he said looking down. "I'm a runner," he said crossing his arms and tipping his hat to cover his eyes.

"Then you must of notice you run slow in cold weather. Girl is fast." Igor nodded at his name and continued the dials. Once the snow cleared, Igor opened a door which let out a chilly blast into the main room. "Sorry for cold."

Tristin stepped out of the cold, breathing heavily and clutching her arm. "I...I did it. Only one icicle this time." Tristin wearily stepped into the main room and looked at Thomas. "I'm going to go to my room. You leaving or do you want to come?" Tristin smiled invitingly, even though she almost got impaled by a metal-ice icicle.

Thomas didn't stand up from his seat "Sure! That would be nice....can I get up now?" He said nervous if the seven foot man would break his back like bane. Thomas grabbed his cane from the side and got up, hoping it was alright.

Tristin heard a cry. "Oh come on is it my roommate?" Tristin took off at a brisk pace, however enough so Thomas wouldn't need much effort to keep up. Once she got to her cell, she opened the door and saw the small child. Instinctively, she lifted Harmony up and started lulling her with her soft voice. "Hey, hey...it's alright...we'll get your mommy and daddy soon enough here, just be quiet, okay?" Tristin walked further back into the room and pulled a waterbottle from the fridge while holding Harmony in one arm.

I grab the women "Ok....ok" she says calming. She has obviously had bad experiences with test or she would not be shaking like a M60 machine gun. Harmony

Thomas walked into the room and saw the girl "Hi! So this is where you live?" He said the first part to Harmony and asked the question to Tristin. He looked around the room then at the fridge "This place is luxury," he said in amazement.

Tristin nodded. "Pretty sweet hm? I've heard people have something called houses with rooms like these, just bigger rooms." Tristin held onto the shaking child and put her in the bed, wrapping her with her blanket into a little 3'9 burrito. "You can stay here, I'll just sleep on the bathroom floor like when Dr. Vasiliev bunks in here." Tristin opened the fridge to reveal only bottled water. She threw a bottle to Harmony and one to Thomas. It didn't taste like anything, but at least it was clean. "Dr. Vasiliev doesn't like food arrangements so he just lets me out in the city for thirty minutes to get food, so if you want we can go."

Thomas smiled "I've lived off circus food most of my life so that could be fun. Tell me when you're ready," he said tipping his hat and picking up the burrito Harmony. "You know you're adorable right," he said lifting her into the air before putting her back on the bed.

"Circus..." Tristin thought about her mother. The mother who held illegal circuses, one that displayed the extraordinary and was executed in front of her when she was five. "I...uh...nevermind." Tristin's mood sank even more and she sat next to Harmony, stroking her head. "I need some time on my own. Can you stay with uh..." Tristin tried to remember the little girl's name. "Stay with Thomas. I'm going to be back in a few." Tristin knew Thomas's name through Igor's talking.

I'm here to help you for whatever reason. But I need you to just take a deep breath and relax." Tristin demonstrated and did the same. "In for four seconds...hold for four seconds...out for seven seconds."
