Anthony smiled as Lilly wrapped her pinky finger around his & soon he released his, Anthony looked puzzled by her question. He was having the same thought in his mind also. "I'm not sure, Lilly. Let's try to ask Uncle Quinton, Okay?" He said with a mix of confusion & honesty. He turned his chair around a bit & asked his uncle the number 1 question that was on everyone's mind. "Hey, Uncle Quinton, Where's Grand Uncle Aldstone at?" Anthony coaxed his uncle in hopes of him possibly knowing the whereabouts of his Grand Uncle.

James Was glad to get his daughter the caffeine and sugar kick she needed to ameliorate her headache, so much so that he almost missed his wife's signing about checking for layovers. ^Good Idea, darling, while you're at it, check if it's been re-routed to a different airport.^ He signed back. Seeing that the rest of the fam was heading off to the food court or something he decided to dig into his own lunch and quaff a cup of soda, because he too felt the stirrings of a migraine, and wanted to (so to speak) 'head it off at the pass'...

Meanwhile, coldly calculating eyes observed the gathering, eyes devoid of true human feeling, watching from afar with dark and loathsome arts that were once intended for good, but now twisted towards evil. The mind behind those compound retinas could not fathom the concept of a happy family waiting for a relative at an airport, especially one with so many members that were clearly: *Shudder* 'Different'. Differences were something this being loathed, and it would use every bit of the power at its disposal to see that those who were 'different' were ejected from the airport, as violently as it could get away with, for the airport was its DOMAIN. Those who did not conform to its very narrow view of proper humans could have no legitimate reason to be there, so ran its thinking...

Julia nodded softly, perusing the internet for any information regarding her uncle's flight. She wondered if she was just being impatient because it was stressful having all the kids cooped up in an airport. She sure hoped that Hanna and Quinton had eyes on the ones they walked off with. As for her middle two, they seemed alright for now, signing back and forth to each other. She didn't think Riley Blue would let Dan get in too much trouble. She wasn't always great with common sense, but Julia trusted her to not be actively destructive. Her younger son... not so much. Julia bit her lip pensively, risking a glance back down at her phone,

Dan's eyes lit up with glee as Riley Blue agreed to the little escapade. Without a moment's hesitation, he dug through the pockets of his vest and pulled out every metal item he could find: a nickel, three pennies, two bent paper clips and a mechanical pencil. He arranged each item carefully on the seat next to him before turning back to his older sister, once again beaming with excitement. 'Okay, here's the plan. First, we slide one of the coins across the floor through the gate. If that doesn't do anything, we'll throw one at the detector itself. The maybe you can put the paper clips in your hair and walk back through it. Tell mom and dad you forgot something at the gate. Do you think it really works? I wonder how they know... "

Riley Blue looked down at the metal items. Alone, each would probably not set off the metal detector. If they wouldn't go off for braces, they probably wouldn't for nickels and paperclips. That being said, maybe they shouldn't try to set off the detectors on purpose. "I have a better idea. Instead of putting objects on ourselves, we plant them on other people. That way they get in trouble, not us." Riley Blue suggested. She wasn't about to get in trouble with the TSA. Getting other people in trouble was fine. "Let's tell mom we're going to the food court first, that way they won't know what we are up up."

'You mean like... reverse stealing?' Dan signed cautiously, nervously side-eying his family before turning back with renewed confidence. 'Awesome.' He wondered why he didn't think of it before... but that's what teenaged siblings were for, right? This was how they learned the things school was too cowardly to teach them. First metal detectors, then quantum computers, then the universe. It was positively thrilling, too thrilling in fact to think about the potential drawbacks. 'So how are we going to get back through and give people all this stuff?'

The building practically shook with a loud rumbling swooshy sound as another plane came into land. Well, maybe it wasn't that extreme but to Lilly, the sound was so loud that that's how it felt. The number representing Aldstone's flight on the Arrivals screen updated to show that the plane had landed. Lilly looked up at her family members, who had all gathered, waiting to pick their uncle/great uncle up. Slowly, people from the flight trickled through the airport, collecting their luggage before making their way to taxis or people waiting for them or going somewhere else. Lilly stuck as close to her family as she could, the wave of people making her feel more uncomfortable than she was already feeling, it wasn't the first time this had happened while they'd been waiting for Aldstone to arrive but Lilly still wasn't used to it yet. She was nervous about meeting their great uncle for the first time, or at least what felt like the first time as she couldn't remember anything about him, but also, she couldn't wait for them all to leave the airport. They'd been here for hours and Lilly had had way too much social time for one day!

Riley Blue looked around at the airport. How were they going to manage this? They couldn't just leave without their parents noticing. She finally located the exit, but just before she told her little brother about it, she heard the ding of an arriving airplane alert. She looked at a monitor. Aldstone's flight was in. 'Aldstone's here. We can test this next time, ok?" Riley Blue signed to Dan, hoping he wouldn't be too disappointed.

Quinton Blanchett
Quinton was watching the exit gate of the airport terminal when he leaned in and squinted a bit.
"Hey, think that's the old cuckoo over there..."
Among the various people with various luggeges exiting the building, a old man dressed up to rather...stand outish, was waking out of the exit gate with a handbag in one hand and a rolling luggage bag in the other.
After exiting, the elderly gentlemen began scanning the crowed, as if he was looking for someone...

Anthony looked over his Uncle's shoulder from a distance, He saw a Tall, elderly, gentleman. 'Oh, finally. He showed up.' Anthony thought. He wheeled back towards the rest of the family. He looked over at his Little Sister, Twin Sister, and Uncle and began to speak. "So, how are you guys feeling now that Aldstone has arrived? Because i'm at the same time excited to see him, and relieved to finally be leaving the airport." Anthony said with honesty

James thought about censuring Anthony for saying something kind of rude: but decided against it. His son was just expressing what most of the family was thinking, and being honest was a good thing. "Let's go up and greet your great-uncle kids," he said instead and began shepherding the fam over to meet Mr. Aldstone.

With the arrival of the new plane the dark consciousness that had been observing the family so malevolently before was distracted, perhaps they would escape unscathed after all...

"Yes, Sir." Anthony said obediently as he wheeled towards his Grand uncle. The man was a very striking figure, He was a very tall & yet to Anthony's eyes seemed like a very genteel & studious man. Anthony greeted his grand uncle in a polite tone. "Welcome to America, Grand uncle Aldstone. I hope your flight wasn't too much of a hassle, If you don't remember my name. It's Anthony, Anthony Rhodes."

Lilly followed the group towards the elderly man who'd been pointed out as their grand uncle. "Aldstone... Aldstone." She repeated to herself under her breath, hoping she got it right. But, when they reached the man she fell completely silent, not really wanting to get into too much of a conversation just yet.
