Lilly looked around for Riley Blue for a few moments but didn't see her and redirected her gaze to the floor again. She glanced up at their Dad, waiting for him to make the announcement that he'd called everyone over for. Lilly squeaked as she suddenly heard a voice beside her which made her jump. She looked over to see Arby and almost immediately calmed down a bit. "H-Hey Arby." She mumbled smiling up at her big sister. She was still on edge but having Arby there was definitely helping. Lilly nodded. "Yeah, I'm doing ok," she replied, though she seemed to be struggling with the situation, which she was, she felt like she was managing it slightly better than she was expecting. "How are you doing?" She asked partially to be polite but more so because she knew that, even if it were for slightly different reasons, she knew that Arby didn't exactly 'Love' these situations either.

Riley Blue smiled at Lilly, gently taking Lilly's hand to comfort her. "I'm alright, I'm alright." Riley Blue assured her, even though Riley Blue did not like this airport at all and felt weirdly alone in this crowd of people. "I saw you put away your iPod, is it out of battery?" Riley Blue asked as she gently squeezed Lilly's hand. She looked to the rest of the family but none were approaching them so she figured they were all either deeply engrossed in their conversations or they couldn't care less about her and Lilly. It was most probably the first, but Riley Blue couldn't stop wondering if they really cares about her at all. She knew they did, but she never felt like it. It was hard to be a rational person and depressed at the same time because your head fights with your emotions almost constantly.

Anthony was looking around to see what the rest of his siblings were up to, He noticed Lily looked sad about her iPod, It must've run out of Battery. He wanted to let her use his, But some of the music he listened to wasn't really Age-appropriate. So reluctantly he didn't. Dan seemed to be bored out of his mind, Anthony noticed him pacing around waiting for something, Anything! to happen. Arby was writing something down into one of her notebooks, Anthony wished he had his or his phone to write down lyrics he had conjured up. Unfortunately, he left them at home. He noticed Arby trying to wander off for a bit but was reprimanded by their dad who was gesturing to the gang to approach him, Anthony looked around for his mom, but she was nowhere in sight. 'Probably on the phone or something.' He assumed.

Anthony turned back as he heard Veronica talk about her suggestion for breakfast & how awesome Cinnabon was, Anthony nodded in agreement & offered his opinion on the matter in his usual witty way. "Agreed, I was thinking in terms of something to eat. We could have the souls of our enemies for breakfast, But your idea is good too." He heard her offering to push his chair for him towards the rest of the family. "I don't mind at all, Plus it'll keep my headphones' cable from getting caught in one of the wheels." He replied happily.

'I think everyone's a little antsy.' Julia replied to her sister's question. After she said this, she looked back up at the group to confirm. She felt a wave of relief as she saw Riley Blue go up to comfort her youngest daughter. Lilly definitely needed some moral support, more than any of them right now, so she was happy that Riley was there to do that while she made this call. The others seemed about the same as when she last checked: Veronica and Anthony looked like they were talking, and Dan just couldn't seem to stay still. 'We'll see you guys when you get here. We haven't heard much about Uncle Aldstone 's flight, but I think you'll get here before he does.'

.Daniel impatiently blew a lock of his hair away from his face, looking back at Veronica and Anthony as his two oldest siblings made their way over. They seemed to still be talking with each other, but Dan was sure they wouldn't be furious if he interrupted. He couldn't possibly the only one who was bored. As soon as Veronica came within arm's reach, he tapped her elbow. 'How long have we been here?' He signed in brisk, forceful motions that matched his jittery state.

"Something like that..." Lilly mumbled in response to Arby's question about her iPod. She still felt kinda stupid for forgetting to turn the plug on. She could tell by the tone of her voice that Arby wasn't as comfortable as she was trying to let on but Lilly decided that it was probably best not to pry. When Arby squeezed her hand, she squeezed back gently, though she didn't say it, she was really happy that Arby was with her, it was helping her keep control of her discomfort in this place. Though, she was starting to wish that their great uncle would get here already so that they could leave. "When's uncle Adle... Adad..." Lilly trailed off, unable to manage to pronounce his name properly. "When's he gonna get here?" She asked, admitting defeat. She knew she had met their great uncle before and she had heard many stories but she didn't really remember him all that well. Maybe when she saw him it would help her remember but for now, she felt as if they were waiting to meet a complete stranger which was making her a little bit nervous. She was sure that he would be lovely, going off what everyone had told her about him, but she couldn't help but feel a little worried, though she hated herself for it.

We also need breakfast money," Veronica told him, turning his chair as she began to push him over to their dad, faintly saying 'weeee!' As they went over, a habit she had yet to break from when she was younger and determined to push him despite barely being able to peer over the back of his head. Regaurdless, she still liked pushing Anthony around.

Of course, it didn't take long for her to move them over to James, and she cleared her throat to garb his attention. "Hey daaaaad, can me an Anthony have some money to go get breakfast?" She asked. Before noticing her younger brother asking how long they've been there. 'I don't know, maybe an hour?' She signed back. She actually didn't even know if that was right, she had been alseep most of the time.

"I don't know, Lil. Soon, I hope." Riley Blue whispered. She didn't know much about Aldstone either, she couldn't remember much about him other than he was old and very British, which was weird because her mom wasn't British and neither was the rest of her family. She didn't really question it, though. It wasn't unplausible for her grand uncle to be British. Just a little bit strange for Riley Blue. "And it's Aldstone, I believe. I'm not sure if that's the right pronunciation."

'Okay, see you soon then' Hanna signed before shutting off the call and turning back to her brother "Don't worry we aren't too late" Hanna told him with a grin before turning to look out the window at the other cars on the motorway and getting lost in her own thought. Her uncle looked so much like her dad, she wished it was him they were going to see again. Once again she had to snap herself out of her train of thought. Instead she began to reminiss about happier times in her life so that she could get that smile back on her face. When she finally saw their exit she sat up a little more in her seat "This is it! Nearly there" She chirped happily.

Quinton Blanchett
"Thanks for stating the obvious sis." Quinton said with a smirked, as he glanced in Hannah's direction. "I wouldn't have known that...unless I'm driving there...hehe, just messing with ya."
A few more minutes later and the two were pulling into the airport parking lot, where Quinton versed parked his car into a nearby parking lot. Before he exited, he reached over to the glove compartment and pulled out a small looking box, it was a charging pack, then unplugged the charging cable from his car and stuffed both of them in his pockets, before exiting. After the two had exited the car,Quinton got his parking ticket and the two were heading into the airport terminal.
"Texting big sis and L'il J" Quinton said while texting the adult group chat with him, both his sisters, and his brother-in-law.
Quinton texted them:
Me and Julia are here, where you lot at?
Is uncle here?

Shutting his phone off then pocketing it, Quinton glanced over to his sister as they were walking into the airport. Quinton was walking at fairly fast past, but he's posture was hunched a bit, as it always is.
"How you thinking the kids are holding up?"

"Just making sure your permanent hangover brain doesn't miss the exit!" Hanna retorted with a smirk. Quinton pulled into the airport carpark and the two made their way to international arrivals hoping to see Julia and the kids. Quinton texted them as they walked and Hanna kept her eyes out for them. She couldn't see anyone she recognized yet but it was very crowded in here. Hanna got jostled about a little by passers by. She'd always had trouble putting on any weight, and as such was pretty stick thin. Quinton turned to her again and started speaking. "Julia said they were a little antsy." Hanna said seriously "But that's as far as we got with that- OH is that them?" Hanna stopped her sentence to start another one.

There they were, the lot of them. Hanna began walking faster and waving to everyone "Hi guys! Did we get here on time?" She called out to them when she was close enough. She walked up to Julia first and wrapped her arms around her making she she was noticed first so she didn't scare her half to death.

(Finally back & more-or-less caught up, on with the Show!)

In his youth, their father had been a boy scout, and while, for various reasons, he no longer approved of scouting, their motto of "be prepared" was something he still adhered to. For this reason, three kinds of drinks and five sorts of sandwiches were on offer, and as for the Cinnabon thing: "We had breakfast at home, second breakfast was in the car: we're on elevensies now." Their father informed them, pulling a box vaguely reminiscent of an oversize fish-and-tackle out of his massive army surplus rucksack into which were packed the copious quantities of sandwiches, (coffee or tea by their mother's preference,) lemonade, and coke-a-cola. The sandwiches consisted of the following kinds, each sealed in an individual resealable sandwich bag: tuna fish, sausage-and-cheese, roast-venison, honey cured turkey, BLTs, and the almost mandatory peanut-butter-and-jam, (Homemade-Raspberry, of course,) of which there were exactly five of each all served up on whole-grain-whole-wheat toast, with one letter of each drink in a thermos. Completing preparations was a sleeve of paper cups...

Just then dad noticed the aunt and uncle arrive and waived to them. "Hi! You're just in time for Elevensies!"

"Heh, don't blame them, they don't know uncs like we do...."
Then Hannah spotted their sister and her family, and the next thing you Quinton knew she was rushing towards their older sister.
Quinton couldn't help but smirk at his little sister's attitude, and followed after her, a bit slower, with both hands in his pockets.
A few seconds later, Quinton was next to both his sisters with his classic "sly look".
When Julia did look at Quinton, he took his hands out and signed to her:
"What's up big sis."
Before placing both his hands back into his slack pockets.
"Hi! You're just in time for Elevensies!"
Quinton turned to the voice, looking down at the source of the noise and smirking, raising an eyebrow at his brother-in-law.
"That's it? Hi?" Quinton smirked, as he scanned the collection of food he had pulled out. "Christ, James...you here to pick up our uncle or have a picnic?....It's like you've never heard of a restaurant before...hehe...anyways....where the little ankle biters at?"
Quinton began to looking around for his nieces and nephews...

Anthony with the help of Veronica made it to the rest of the family, "Dad, I most likely won't be home for dinner tonight. I gotta go to a venue to rehearse for a show tonight. The rest of the band is picking me up in the afternoon. You guys will be there, right?" Anthony asked his dad nervously. He spotted his aunt & uncle coming up to them. He remembered the days he spent practicing with his Aunt Hannah & cracking jokes with his Uncle Quinton. He was overjoyed to see them again.

He greeted them excitedly "Aunt Hannah, Uncle Quinton, it's so great to see you again! How're you two doing?" He coaxed with a joyful tone. He offered each of them a hug & talked about how his Band was doing & mentioned how he, unfortunately, had to leave early for a show tonight. But he wasn't too sad because he knew they would come see him perform.

After hugging Julia she turned to her brother in law James who was offering food. Unlike Quin, she was rather excited to eat as much as she could fit "Great! I'm starving!" She said as she took a sandwich and nodded her thanks at him. "You're the best!" Then another voice caught her attention. Gosh everytime she saw Julia's family she marvled at just how hectic it must be for her keeping a handle on it all. "Heeeeey Tony!" She said leaning down to accept the hug, being careful not to get any peanut butter on him. "Not too bad!" She answered pulling away.

He began excitedly talking about the show he was doing tonight. "My prodigy is performing live? Of course I wouldn't miss that!" She wiped a fake tear away then gave him a light punch on the shoulder and congratulated him for getting the gig

Quinton Blanchett
Quinton’s attention was suddenly back on his little sister, as he watched her go for the food.
Quinston rolled his eyes, then he looked at his younger sister.
"Geez, sis, we’re in public, don’t go dripping that stuff all ove-Oof...hehe, hey there, Crasher..." he felt his eldest nephew hug him, returning the favor with one hand. Looking back up midhug, he saw Veronica, and raised an eyebrow at the fact that she seemed to have not slept much, judging by the bags under her eyes. "...and you too, hot mess...get any sleep last night?...hehe..."
When Anthony went on to talk about his music, Quinton just chuckled a bit, shaking his head, and went to take a seat.
Sometimes, Anthony reminded him of his Hannah...guess there’s no surprise there...
“Drama queen...” Quinton muttered with a smile on his face, as he crossed his arms and leaned back into his seat.
“Course we’ll be there, kiddo, wouldn’t miss it for the world...pretty sure your grand uncs will be just as happy to watch you too...that is...if your mom and pop will let you.” Quinstan said, glancing over, first to James, then at Julia. “By the way, I thought you had five of them; where the other three? Playing hide and seek?”
Quinton very much doubted that, not when it was time for “elevensies”...whatever that was...he still couldn’t figure out what it was...

"Aldstone..." Lilly repeated under her breath, trying to memorise how to say it before he arrived. Even if Riley Blue wasn't sure if that was the right way to say it, Lilly had far more belief in her sister's attempt than she did in her own.

As Lilly was trying to memorise the name properly she heard their father announce that it was time for elevensies then almost immediately after she heard another familiar voice coming from the other direction. She turned to look toward some where the voice came from to see her aunt and uncle Hanna and Quinton walking towards them. Hana and Quinton immediately started to mingle with other members of the family. Had it been any other time, or more specifically, any other place, Lilly would probably have rushed over and launched herself at them, but she didn’t quite feel confident enough yet to make the short journey withour Riley Blue. So she waited for Riley Blue to lead, should Arby choose to go over to them, then Lilly would gladly follow, but should Arby decide to stay where they were, then Lilly would also remain put.

At long last, Julia's two younger half-siblings made their entrance. She cheerily returned Hannah's embrace, seeing that her husband was offering food around. Good. with 3 teenagers, it often seemed like these kids were impossible food vacuums.

Anthony, her oldest, got straight to talking to his aunt and uncle. His aunt's response, which looked like it included the phrase "Performing Live? .... Wouldn't miss that!", clued her in that her son was discussing his latest musical endeavor. He always seemed to really love sharing that with people, and she was glad that the band gave him a way to connect with peers. All her kids seemed to struggle with that in their own way. Veronica had a good circle of friends but could be abrasive to people she didn't know, Anthony and Riley Blue were her little Edgar Allen Poes, Lilly had severe social anxiety and it seemed Dan couldn't care less about fitting in. And, while Julia was glad they were all able to march to the beat of their own drums, she couldn't help but worry that their inept social skills would start to cause problems when they grew up.

She turned back to Quinton, smiling brightly. ‘You're looking tired today.’ She commented, with a faint hint of concern. ‘Maybe we shouldn't have dragged the kids out so early, but… you know how planes are. New York busy as usual?’

2m4rjn9.png

Dan couldn't help but look mortally offended at the notion that they'd been here in this dismal waiting area for an hour. 60 minutes of highly valuable time… Yikes! Just as he was about to turn around and offer his parents some harsh feedback, he caught sight of two people who immediately made his face light up : Aunt Hanna and Uncle Quinton. They were like a second set of parents without the responsibility of keeping him from engaging in exciting and potentially self destructive adventures. That is to say, they were some of his absolute favorite people.

‘Hey!’ He waved excitedly, not really knowing if he was interrupting any verbal conversations they may have started. Seeing his mother talking too Quinton, he turned to Hannah and eagerly offered her a high-five, using his left hand to jokingly sign ‘You're late!’ Really, though, he couldn't bring himself to be irritated anymore. All the boredom had instantaneously evaporated into giddy enthusiasm. ‘So, what's going on? What are we talking about? What time is it?’

Riley Blue smiled as Lilly practiced saying their grand uncle's name. It was sort of cute, the way she wanted to perfect the pronunciation of their grand uncle's name. Lilly probably had no memory of the man, it had been so many years since he had last visited. Riley Blue barely remembered him herself. She didn’t remember people well unless they had some striking feature about them. All Riley remembered about the man was that he was British and he was tall.

Then Aunt Hannah and Uncle Quinton showed up and Dad called for Elevensies. Riley Blue herself couldn't have cared for either of those two events. Quinton somewhat scared RB and RB was beyond jealous of Hannah's physical stature and her relationship with Anthony. And Riley wasn't even slightly hungry. But little Lilly Jayne would want to say hello to her relatives and was probably hungry. Riley Blue looked down at Lilly and smiled kindly. "C'mon, kiddo, let's go say hello to Aunt and Uncle." Riley Blue whispered. She gently led her little sister over to the group and gave a half-hearted wave to the rest of the family. "Hey, Hannah. Hey, Quinton." Riley Blue mumbled.

Quinton turned to the voice, looking down at the source of the noise and smirking, raising an eyebrow at his brother-in-law.
"That's it? Hi?" Quinton smirked, as he scanned the collection of food he had pulled out. "Christ, James...you here to pick up our uncle or have a picnic?....It's like you've never heard of a restaurant before...hehe...anyways....where the little ankle biters?"
Quinton began to looking around for his nieces and nephews...
James stood back up from where he'd been crouched on the floor with the meal carrier and looked down at Quinton from his towering 6'0" height. "Can't we be here to do both, brother-of-mine? And yes, I've heard of restaurants, what I've heard is they're overpriced, low quality, and tend to have lo long lines and poor selection. As for the kids, they're around, and will be along shortly..." James explained.

Anthony's dad was concerned but tried not to let it show. "Are we going to be missing Supper too?" He asked, as he hefted the meal carrier onto two arms of the stadium seating and took one of the roast venison sandwiches to eat. "I'll be there for sure, don't know about the rest of the fam though, it all depends on when the show ends..." James explained.

^So,
what's going on? What are we talking about? What time is it?^

^Nearly Noon Sport, we're a bit late on Elevensies.^ James signed back.

"When am I never, big sis?" Quinston signed with a smirk, taking his hands out of his pockets to do so, before placing them on the armchair rests.
Quinton was usually tried, though you couldn't tell unless you really knew him. It was no surprise, between the his job and drinking, there was very little way in his schedule for sleeping...though, Quinton was more then use to that.
"Besides, it's good for the kids to get out of the house once in a while to, you know, experience society."

"O-Okay," Lilly said in response to her sister's suggestion that they go and greet their Aunt and Uncle. She couldn't hide that she was rather excited to see them, but she still wasn't quite comfortable enough to show her usual bubbliness, besides, she could tell that there was something wrong with Riley Blue, she had no idea what it was, maybe she was just hungry, maybe she just wanted to get out of the airport as much as Lilly did, or maybe it was something else? Whatever it was, it bothered Lilly slightly that she wasn't able to do anything to help. She glanced up at her big sister as they walked but stumbled and almost fell as she did, so decided that maybe it was best to look where they were going.

"Hey, Uncle Quinny," Lilly said as they reached the rest of their family and Quinton addressed both her and Riley Blue. She was very reserved in comparison to how she would normally greet her Aunt and Uncle but her smile showed that she was definitely happy to see them. She glanced over to the food court as Quinston suggested that she and Riley Blue join him and Veronica on a trip to get some food other than what their father had packed for them. There were a lot of people over there which unnerved Lilly a little, but then over here wasn't exactly empty either. She redirected her gaze from the food court and up towards Riley Blue. "What do you think, sis?" She asked quietly. Lilly didn't feel particularly hungry, she actually felt a little bit sick, but then, she never had been good at differentiating between her being 'not hungry' and being overly hungry and she hadn't eaten much of the food she's been offered today. Plus, her nerves were definitely not helping with how she felt so maybe her judgement on hunger wasn't 100% accurate.

Riley Blue Rhodes

Riley blue sighed at the mention of food. She wasn’t hungry at all. Sure, she hadn’t technically eaten yet today, but she ate last night and that was recently enough for her. Really, the thought of eating right now was making Riley Blue feel a little bit sick. She couldn’t eat right now. But Lilly would need to eat soon. RB looked down at her little sister as the little one asked for Riley Blue’s opinion. “You should go with them, Lilly.” Riley Blue said as she very carefully slipped her hand out of Lilly’s. “You’re probably hungry by now, you haven’t eaten in a few hours.” Riley Blue looked at the rest of the group and sort of awkwardly stepped away. She wondered where in the hell Aldstone was. It had already been an hour.
