I don't censor myself when I speak usually. In almost every context, unless someone is skilled enough to do some sort of stand up routine regarding the subject and even then it is likely to make people uncomfortable,. it's an ugly word to describe an ugly act. And what happened to Owl was ugly thing. She was raped.
It should make people uncomfortable.
Trying to soften it by saying 'r-word' or anything else takes away from that ugly. And it should always be ugly. No judgement of course. This is just why I don't censor myself in most cases, especially when speaking about a heavy subject..

I understand that, and I would normally have no issue with the term. The filter programs I have to deal with, do. On my own, I could care less what terminology is used, words have a purpose, and that purpose is to convey ideas. But my situation forces me to recognize that to other people, words are apparently magic incantations, and if it used once that must be what the entire conversation is about and those involved must be planning to commit the act.
If that sounds as stupid to you as it does to me, you are more intelligent than the education system. Welcome to my world.
If I didn't have these filters to negotiate, I would have no issue. But I have to negotiate these filters. I'm not asking you to use another word, I'm just asking that you substitute a letter with an aterisk (*) so that the filters don't pick it up and we can have the conversation.

Not stupid...confused slightly. And apologies for going off on a philoisphical rant. You'll have to forgive me on my lack of knowledge regarding filter programs or whatever you're dealing. I know you aren't one for talking about your personal life, but I can only assume you're somehow on a machine that tracks certain words and it it catches to many something negative happens?. Which is weird to me. No offense of course.
