Oh, There's a way to "Turn it off" (But I can't tell you how just yet ), but it wont be available to you until Chapter 2... Luckily Chapter 1 is progressing at a good pace.

It is a possibility, only issue is that the cause of the randomness is aligned with chaos, something that is damn near impossible to control (unless you're Xai and can break the rules and still get away with it).

But no, once you get the option you can either turn it on or off (likely the latter as a Wild magic Mage is random enough XD)
