Oh you can, just don't expect not to see strange stuff happen after, primarily stuff that's too obvious. And only in the IC, you can do it here in the OOC all you want without consequences

Nah, this is just some god's way of adding some humor to a world that's so bleak... Though it can happen if to NPC's on occasion
