you can take the average instead of your roll XD instead of 22, you can add 50 to your HP (+your CON mod)

We are defaulting to a minimum. Anything under 50 and you add 50(+con) to your existing HP

Contact modifier, I believe they mean. +1 rather than an extra 13

the modifier is the +1, the 13 is just the number of your CON

I thought it was 3rd we got a Feat, and 4th we got a stat boost.

Hmmm, do I go ahead and take a level of ascended, or a level of paladin? lol Not quite a tough choice; I'm going ascended for the d100 hit points and whatever bonuses we get from that.

Yes, hit dice when rolling for any class defaults to the largest. So regardless if Sherwood is leveling paladin or ascended, he'd be rolling 1d100
