Fantasy Aether: The Age of Light OOC [being rebooted]

Ugh man using the 3DS after using a Switch for six months is just g r o s s

I actually like the 3DS's control scheme more than the Switch's, though that's likely because I've used it for so much more time than the Switch's. Although, I do prefer playing the switch if it's with a controller rather than the joycons.

ugh dude I must have put like 300 hours into Animal Crossing, but I just really struggle with it now I've used the Switch.

I will suffer for Metroid tho <3

I HAVE found the new Metroid to be a bit cumbersome with the controls just because you so constantly have to be using so many of the buttons at one time, but I usually find the 3DS to be pretty comfortable for other games.

Started a bestiary. I'll add creatures/whatever as they're encountered. Feel free to make suggestions!

Avari Avari I might have an idea for a second character who is a paladin if we indeed want two more characters. But I do know that with the quality of posts u want that might not be a good idea. We also wouldn't want to ward off new players so it should be a last resort if nobody is coming on.

yeah don't worry for now, plenty of time. 2nd characters are a long way down the road, just depends if there's any gaps people would like to fill.

Haha. It'd be funny if somebody finally found an ancient enchanted weapon–after years of planning and tons of hardship—only to have it hate them and refuse to work half of the time.

Also, as for the Griffons, if somebody (late into the RP) managed to tame one, they'd be really useful for expeditions because they can be used to fight and transport people/ruins.

see I've been thinking about this and it would be super cool but would probably break the entire RP??
hahaha

"Okay, you're on a treacherous journey..."
"I use a Griffon"
"No wait what stop"

Pardon me for intruding, but I was kind of wondering regarding the theology of the world in this RP. What is the relationship between the three gods worshipped by the Church akin to? Is it similar to the Trinity in Christian terms or are they separate? What is their relationship to Myrkul?

Not really akin to anything. I'd say it's rather like the Deadra from Elder Scrolls. You give them worship/prayers/offerings - you might get something back. More based on mutual cooperation than anything else. They have a tangible effect on the world, though only Mages are capable of interacting closer than that.

Myrkul has more tentacles. it's not known if he's a spirit, a alien or some sort of cosmic Lovecraft entity - just for the best for everyone if he stays in his own dimension.

Ah, I see what you mean, thanks for the information buddy; I think being a cleric might be interesting, so it helps that he would try and understand the nature of the gods so that he might combat ignorance and heresy through careful instruction.

Clerics are pretty varied. They go from scholars who spend their days in the Great Library, to adventurers, rogues, teachers, warriors etc

Good stuff, I can imagine him being the child of two Paladins who earnestly wished for their son to wage holy war in protection of the Church; only to find that their child wishes for a war of reconciliation against those who have fallen into ignorance and those that have led them astray. Have people made characters already?
