I would suggest using some sort of distraction. Like he does an exaggerated performance and shines a flash of light or something that distracts the audience from a sleight of hand. But I don't know how that would fit into an archery competition.

Well, I'd say anyone can join, personally. Going by the example set by Martin in his tournament sections, everyone from peasents to sellswords to hedgeknights to lordlings and all the way up to the king were able to join any of the tourney's competitions. But they'd usually have to provide their own gear, so as to prevent stuff like a peasant trying to joust, unless they borrow some equipment and a horse.

I think, for the purposes of this RP --

THe King might have opened it to anyone and everyone. Coz he doesn't care much for class. He'd be like "surely we want the best, not just those that can afford it"

Hey, fairly off-topic, but what's the status on golems and automata? And would a noble be rich enoughbto by an automata or golem to help protect his home?

Golems are a thing, but they're lost tech. Can't get one in your house, and they'd kill anyone who came near. No Automata yet.

The best way I can think of to cheat at an archery competition is to have the judge in your pocket. He can score your shots higher than they deserve for you and score others' less than they deserve. Maybe Dhaunae can find a particularly greedy judge and pay him for his help. Or maybe he somehow made it so that one of his associates was chosen as the administrator for the event way ahead of time.

If you wanted to mess with other people's shots, well...

It'd be interesting if he had a way to cause a stray gust of wind to blow everyone's shots off course but his own, but I don't know what kind of miraculous sleight of hand could cause an effect like that.
 
hey guys. been reading everything and just popping in real quick to let you know i still exist and haven't flopped anywhere. Just got my wisdom teeth taken out and the pain is making it hard to even look at a computer screen and read for long let alone write. hopefully in the next day or two it will subside or be under control (the pain) so I can get my part up.
 
Gonna start on that bestiary tomorrow coz I probably won't post again for a day or two. Gonna give a lil' blurb and maybe a challenge rating. Maybe outta like 30.
1 would be moderate danger to a single person. Only really a BIG issue in groups
5 would be a danger to a well trained group of four warriors
30 would be world ending.
