Realistic or Modern Abandoned

Zack smiled and looked at the Headmaster that had came into the dining room area. He nodded at him, thankfully. As he looked around some more, Zack saw that Stewart was looking extremely panicky. He walked up to him in the kitchen and smiled, "Hey, Stew? Want some help?" He offered, opening the cupboard full of the cups and plates.Zack and Stewart had been good friends ever since they met. They both shared the love of making food.

"Thanks." Gaia and Liz chorused again before digging in. Chocolate was to important to waste time laughing. Even kids had priorities they put above all else and sweets only came second to those they cared about.

"No!" Stewart said as he waved the boy off "Fire constitutes as a safety hazard, and I cannot risk being held accountable for any and all injuries that may or have been made using the equipment I was entrusted with!"

Stewart bit his nails and let his eyes dart around a bit before furiously shaking his head "Enjoy your time with some friends and wait for your plate, I-I Have to check the temperature!"

Sure enough, once he finished talking Stewart immediately switched a thermometer from one plate of food to the next, his eyes focusing on the small instrument as if the world hinged upon their results.

Veno woke up, straight as a board. He then wondered where he was... And remembered. He stood up, walked over to the kitchen, and groggily asked "Give me... Something..." He was extremely sleepy from his nap, and didn't feel like talking.

Stewart paused in his frantic plate setting to glance at the newest addition to the room's population.

He wordlessly shoveled some eggs and bacon onto a plate and laid a pancake t the side before sliding the plate over to the tired boy before taking out a measuring tape and studying the circumference of the next plate.

Veno took the plate to his table, and started to eat. He ate in a very peculiar way. He ate things on his plate in a certain order. He almost let his face fall into his plate several times, but saved himself and the food just in the nick of time. After he finished, he was really energetic. As if he hadn't been the tired boy he was before. He smiled as he walked outside for a breath of fresh air.

Tim sat there quietly and he looked to Stewart as he walked over. "Morning Stewart, you're looking a little stressed out this morning. I'm guessing things didn't go to plan." Tim said as he took a drink from his glass of juice and then slouched in his seat a little resting his head back on the top of the chair. "Smells good Stew." He said complimenting his cooking.

Gaia stuffed his face and soon finished his chocolate chip pancakes. He loved sweets. Hoping from his seat like a bunny he put his plate and glass in the sink. Hopping over to chef he hugged his leg and gave him a big eye sparkling smile when he looked down."Thanks Chef those were the best."

He let go then skipped outside humming merrily. It was such a nice day it would be a waste if he stayed inside any longer. Liz followed her brothers lead sending Chef a small smile in thanks as she passed ad headed outside. She didn't like being outside normally because it was always to hot or to cold but something about today made her want to spend as much time outside as she could.

Plus someone needed to watch Gaia who knew what trouble that boy would get into without someone watching him. Last time he was left alone outside because he went out to get his soccer ball he was kidnapped by a couple who always wanted a kid. 5 hours later the police brought him home after the couple turned themselves in with guilt after they made him cry when they said he wouldn't see his sister or friends again. Gaia cried himself to sleep that night because he missed his new friends.

Jeremy giggled as he saw Stew, knowing he will cook the best food there is. He looks up at Val. "Is Val hungry? What do you want to eat, I will ask Stew to cook for us." He said to Val, seeing that she has not yet eaten.

Veno noticed Gaia skipping towards him. "Hey, there." said Veno, smiling. Wow, it really was a nice day to be outside. He felt the breeze blowing his hair, and looked up at the sky. It looked pretty sunny. Not many clouds. Today was going to be a good day.

"Hi Veno." Gaia chirped smiling at him like he did to Chef. All pearly white teeth and sparkling eyes. "Want to play soccer? I got to warn you though I'm as fast as the wings of a chopper."

Liz went to a large tree nearby and sat under the shade it provided. Leaning back against it she closed her eyes and relaxed. It was such a nice nice day.

"Ooh... Sure." replied Veno. Soccer, eh? He may be a bit rusty, but he'll try. He smiled as he thought about Gaia's remark. Was he really that fast? Hmm... "Let's see how fast you are, then." said Veno, getting into a goalie's squatting position. He was a pretty good goalie when he used to play soccer, and he grinned as he waited for Gaia to shoot.

(The warden is back. Yall better hide you're knifes cuz' I gots a gun *raises gun and aims*)

Valorie smiled at Zach's offer for breakfast. "That would be great." She said, rubbing her eyes. She had been up on the roof last night, singing her heart out. "If you have orange tea, then can I have some please?" She said, her voice a bit hoarse and scratchy. She was a bit stiff because there where some guy's in the room, but he was probably the most approachable of them.

(Warden...? Was there a warden? Huh, the more you know.)

Jeremy giggled at Val. "Okay, I'll ask Stew for tea." He said, sliding down her legs. He waddled, yes, waddled, towards the chef. He went over to Stew and starts tugging his pants. "I want blueberry pancakes and Val wants orange tea. Thank you!" He said, smiling at the chef. He ran back to Val, having a hard time climbing back her lap. "It's okay, I told chef to get you some tea." He said, smiling proudly.

Gaia's grin widened and he went to fetch his soccer ball from the shed. On his way back he gave his bunny poncho to his sister Liz then put the ball on the ground. He took a step back, steadied himself then was off. He made sure to keep the ball close as he headed straight at Veno. A plan was already firmly in his mind.

Liz hugged Poncho tightly opened her eyes and watched Gaia zip off. She shook her head in exasperation with a small smile etched onto her face at her energetic brother. Hes always on the go and she swore the day he stayed absolutely still was the day hell froze over.

"They say that god is full of mysteries

Sometimes I wonder if you tell him that you're missing me

'Cause I miss you every day

Like they took summer away

Like they took color away

And this grey

Needs to get the hell away from me

And I'm jealous of the angels

'Cause they see you every day

And I see you when I'm dreaming

But it doesn't feel the same"

Ethan's eyes shot open, it was about his normal time of getting up. He threw back the dark blue sheets of his bed. In between His fingers still tingled where her's had been long ago. He sat at the edge of his bed and ran his fingers through his dark hair, it was soft as usual. Ethan let out a sigh as he stood, only wearing his black basket-ball shorts. He looked at his muscular complexion before pulling on a white wife-beater.

He opened his door slowly, and carefully stepped out. He walked down the hall as he fumbled in his pocket for the box. He walked downstairs and into the main area, before walking out back. He opened the box and pulled out a cigarette. He lit it with ease, watching his surrounding.

Valorie glared as she heard the familiar noise of feet walking down the stairs and the smell of smoke. "Ethan, you better be going outside or I swear I will knock that thing out of you're mouth and into the trash." She said, her eyes narrowed. If there was one thing that sparked her memories the most, it was the smell of cigarettes and alcohol.

Ethan chuckled, "Calm yourself, Val." He muttered, He had a tendency to mutter. "I just walked out." he said as he blew the smoke into the outside wind, that blew it far off into the sky. He leaned against the building as he continued to puff the foul addiction. He soon finished and dropped it on the concrete under himself, he stomped it out before picking up the cigarette butt and throwing it in the trash as he walked inside.

"
I may be an A-hole, but i respect people's past you know." His attitude was mysterious, yet charming. He knew a lot of kids were here, which stopped him from cussing, and that Val, like most, had a past with addict parents and such. He shoved the cigarettes back into his pocket.

Val just glared at him and relaxed, closing her eyes. "Just don't bother me." She said, her eyes almost ablaze. Honestly, how did he even know? She never told anyone. But then again, being a hit man in the past an all, he knew a lot of things. She just hoped that he dared not mention her singing or else she would throttle him.

Stewart nearly had aa heart attack when the small child appeared from nowhere and ordred some pancakes and tea. He forced himself not to panic, and quickly sifted through several stacks of pancakes for the blueberry type. Finding them, he set them aide before pulling out a juice box. He set the two aside before moving on.

Ethan let her attitude roll off his back. "Yes, ma'am." He said teasingly, As he walked toward the stairs. He gently rubbed his face, feeling the stubble. He dressed himself more properly, in jeans and a sleeveless black shirt that read something in Italian, but was written in white lettering with a few words bold-ed in red.

He washed his face, and ran his wet fingers through his hair as he stared at himself in the mirror. He shook his head before drying his face. Ethan walked into his room and looked over at the tiny, brown, and white stuffed dog that laid on the floor. He knelt down and ran his fingers over the tattered fur. He felt his heart throb, for the first time since last time he remembered her. He carefully picked up the dog, it was missing one eye, and both of its ears were torn. He rested it on his bed, gently stroking the stuffed animal.

It was morning and the sun made sure to let her know of that as it shined through her window as little dust partials could be seen floating around her room. Sitting up she stretched yawning thinking of what she was going to do today. Pulling the covers away from her she got out of bed going into the bathroom where she brushed her hair and washed up. She heard some of the kids getting up and going to the kitchen for breakfast, smiling she headed downstairs to the kitchen where she poured herself some cereal and a glass of juice to quiet her growling stomach. Finding a seat she ate her breakfast while listening to the others talk. Biting her bottom lip she spoke to those who were still in the kitchen or at the table with her. "What is everyone going to do today?" She smiled brightly.

As Ethan came down the stairs, cigarette in mouth, Zack narrowed his eyes at him. He knows about everyone's past as he had sneaked into the headmaster's office and looked at all the files. Ethan's past and his were the most bad. He muttered a "Good Morning," to him but he just walked right out. In an anger of ignorance for Ethan, Zack walked into the kitchen area, staying out of the chef's way, he quickly stole one of the pancakes that were waiting for their customer. He walked out and turned the t.v. on, taking a big bite. Blueberry, He thought. Suddenly the t.v. started to scream and shout. The video it was showing was a video about a bank robbery a year ago. They were explaining that they still have not found the culprit. Zack dropped the pancake, landing on the floor. He quickly turned the t.v. off, and looked around at him. Again there was silence. He ran up stairs and into his room. The only sounds the people heard were the thumps off furniture being thrown around. Nobody had saw, but Zack had slipped a knife with him.
