Abandoned {dead} [Inactive]

Salem

He didn't mind the others straying from him, the less the better. As he neared the scent he saw his large dog sitting and looking rather pleased with himself. He bounded towards him and pressed his side against the white and orange canine. "I thought you'd been snatched or something." He began before his relief turned to anger. "Do you know how stupid you are, I mean honestly what is in that thick skull of yours cause it sure isn't a brain. If you wonder off again i swear I'm going to skin you alive."

Django

He jumped a little at the warm pressed on his side, he glanced down to see his partner suddenly lecturing on. Django ignored most of it, he usually did, and luck for him it was a short one. He stood as his friend lead them away from the crowd, and soon enough out of the forest. He guessed Salem had decided all the activity was a bad thing, however Django was not so sure, he liked the company of other abandoned animals.

Falkor finally reaches the collection of animals. He plops on the ground in the thick of all the madness and waits. He is friendly, but at this point is feeling quite drained and so he decides to just wait for confrontation, like the patient dog he is. However, Phoenix is not the calm, cool, and collected parrot he wants to be seen as, and so he decides to take a little venture on his own.

He takes off from his safe, comfy perch on Falkor and swoops overhead. "Be back soon, Falkor!" He calls and he soars over the forest. His goal is to find other animals that aren't cats and dogs...exotics like him. After a few minutes of searching, he sees a mouse and a turtle in some grass. Perfect! He thinks. He swoops down to join them.

"Hi." He says as he waddles over to them. "I'm Phoenix and I'm an African Grey Parrot. I'm a herbivore, and I mainly eat fruits, veggies, and seeds, so I don't pose a threat." He then sees a cat, automatically a threat. He flutters away in a panic. "Please, don't hurt me!" He squawks in fear.

Smidge let out a soft sigh and then could smell the cat again, she looked around and then laid on her belly, Her hind legs sprawled out behind her, She then saw her brother lay in the grass near her, she wags her tail and crouched in the slightly thick grass, she smiled and began to stalk him, She then leaped and tackled him, He let out Gawk in surprise and laid under his smaller sister, She giggled and he smirked, he kicked her off and smirked, He heard a squawk and his ears perks up "Wanna go check it out?" he asked, Smidge shrugged and smirked "Sure." They then began to walk into the forest, They peaked around a bush and spotted another cat! With a mouse and a turtle? Smidge was slightly confused, Odd pairing, and then she saw Phoenix That sheep dog's bird! Diablo watched curiously.

Nemesis

Nemesis looked closely at the parrot, "I would eat you, but I'm stuffed. For once in my life." She said. It was true, the rat she ate earlier was pretty big. She looked back over at Eltrut, and sniffed his shell. She sat back up, "He doesn't smell eadable. So, I'm assuming he was poisoned." She said, finally deciding weather the turtle was poisoned or not.

Diablo's eyes shone brightly from behind the bush, he stared at the cat and shifted his paws, he kicked a pebble and tensed slightly he blinked and Smidge's eyes glowed as well, Both peering from behind the bush, Smidge crouched, and pinned her ears back,

Nemesis

Nemesis heard something move behind a bush nearby, 'Salem? A dog? A poisoned squirrel?' She thought. "Did you hear that?" She asked the mouse, wondering if she was hearing things.

"Hear what?" Algernon asked. He moved instinctively in front of the turtle, as if his tiny mouse body would protect Eltrut better than his own shell.

Deciding that Nemesis was probably messing with them or just hearing things, Algernon decided to introduce himself to the parrot. "Uh, nice to meet you. My name is Algernon, and this is Eltrut," he said, gesturing toward the turtle with one of his "hands".

Nemesis

Nemesis shrugged, and licked her tail. She sniffed around for something a bit more interesting to do, than meet a parrot. She scratched a tree, and looked at the scratch marks on the trunk. She rubbed up against it, to put her scent there. She sniffed at the tree, "Perfect." She said. Then, she spied a spider, she chased it around, and pawed at it, just for fun.

"Nice to meet you as well." Phoenix muttered. A parrot has two volumes, scream and mutter. To spare his new-found friends, Phoenix used the mutter mode.

Diablo stood up straight as a cat ran around a nearby tree, He knew she would see him and he stood in a slightly aggressive, Unsure of her reaction to seeing such a large, aggressive dog. Smidge stood by her sibling, Small yet still aggressive looking, she held her tail high in an alert way.

Nemesis

Nemesis looked over, and saw two, large dogs. She had gotten a piece taken out of her ear by a small dog. She paused, and her ears went back. Then, she slowly backed away, and got closer to the tree if she would have to get away quick, she could climb it fast.

Lily

Lily sighed, and slowly climbed down the tree. She looked around for the two dogs, and was relieved when, she didn't see them. She wondered what was taking Shadow so long, and headed into the city.

Muffin

Muffin followed her mother down the tree, and ran back over to Ashes. "Where'd the butterfly go?" She asked, looking around.

Drake eventually got up from rolling around in time to see two massive dogs appear out of the underbrush. Staring intently, his tongue worked its way slowly out of his mouth, and flopped in front of his face. "Mmmmmmbleh."

Slurping his tongue back into his mouth, Drake trotted his way out into the open towards the green rock that ate green things. With a moment's fail, he scrambled up on top of it and sat up on his hind legs. "I claim this green rock for things."

Eltrut stopped eating and lifted his little chubby head as much as he possibly could, which wasn't much, to look up at the creature that just sat on him. "Uh, what?" Though he was used to being weighed down by his shell, the weird creature that looked like a stretched out version of Algernon weighed much more. Eltrut turned to Algernon. "Algae?" he asked, deciding to give his new friend a nickname.

Algernon turned, hearing the desperation in his new friend's voice. If it were possible, his eyes would have widened at the sight before him. That strange rodent-like creature from before was sitting on his hind legs on top of Eltrut. Algernon was too confused to be angry or frightened. "Wha--what are you doing?" he asked the rodent-like creature.

Drake dropped back onto all fours and leaned over the side of his new steed, looking at the little furry mousey closely. "Claiming the green rock for things. What else would I be doing?" This is said in a rather obvious manner, as if this happened all the time and was a daily occurrence.

Algernon gave him a confused look. "Um, what? You can't just . . . claim him," he said. "He's a living, breathing creature--like you."

Then, Eltrut spoke up in his own defense: "And, also, you're kinda crushing me."

Drake tilts his head to the side at that. "But I was claimed by my owners, what's the difference?" What a conundrum! "!!! The green rock can talk!" The ferret rolled up in a ball and fell off the magical talking green rock, rolling around before getting back up again with a confused look on his face. "What witchcraft is this?!"

"I'm not a rock!" Eltrut shouted. "I'm so sick of people thinking I'm a rock! I'm not, I'm not, I'm not!"

Algernon put a reassuring paw on his, uh, shoulder? "Hey, it's okay, Eltrut. I know you're not a rock. You're a turtle."

Eltrut smiled, ceasing his mini-tantrum. "Thanks, Algae."

? "Ehhh... Is a turtle..." Drake moved a bit closer, sniffing the air. "Another name for a small boulder?"

"Um," Algernon said, unsure of how to explain this to the weird rodent-like creature. "He's . . . not a boulder. He's a . . . living creature. Like you; like me. That's why he can talk and eat and move around."

"I thought all things could do that? They just don't wanna move, cause they're playing a game." Drake began staring intently at a tree, daring it to move. It didn't. The mentally confused ferret looked back at the "turtle" and the little furry mousey. "Do you like games? I'm playing hide and seek with my owners, they're really good."

"I like games!" Eltrut exclaimed joyously. "Can I play? Can I play? Can I play?" He began chanting the query over and over again, not leaving any opportunity for someone to answer.

Algernon, trying to talk over the sound of the turtle's chanting, asked the rodent-like creature, "How long have you guys been playing?"

"Funfunfunfunfunfunfunfunfunfunfunfunfunfunfunfunfun!" Drake hopped up and down like someone shook him really got and popped the cork. "I dunno," He said when he stopped chanting to take a breath. "It's been a bit, I started outside the forest. Funfunfun!"

"Oh," Algernon said. "Well, um . . . Are you sure they're playing hide-and-seek with you? Or are you just, well, lost?"
