"Well, I figure it's hide and seek, they put me in the box. At least I think they did." Drake thought for a moment, his tongue just poking out from between his canines. "Am I lost? Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?" He started bouncing up and down again.

"Um," Algernon said, somewhat lost for words. It was hard to think over Eltrut's chanting. "I . . . If you are in fact lost, then I can help you find your owners--or at least help you find some food. What do you like to eat?"

"Meat! Meatmeatmeatmeatmeatmeatmeat!" Drake began hopping all over the place as he thought of food. "I likes the birds and the mouses and the fishes and the pizzas and the mammals and the birds and the dinosaurs and the robots and the burgers and the ice cream! Oh! And the meat!"

Nemesis

Nemesis looked closely at the dogs, waiting for them to make the first move. She peered over at Eltrut, Algernon, the bird, and some rodent thing she'd never seen before. She looked away from them, and dug her claws into the dirt. 'What do these dogs want?' She thought. She backed away some more, and growled. She would climb the tree if the dogs attacked.

"Uh . . . ," Algernon said, suddenly very uncomfortable. "W--would you possibly eat grass . . . or leaves?"

"Nope! Makes me sick!" Hearing a growl, Drake looked all over the place until he saw the cat with the shiny eyes again! And some scary looking dogs! But he didn't really care about those because- "CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!"

Nemesis

Nemesis looked back over at the long rodent, he was saying caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? She wondered why to herself, and then shook her head. She concentrated on the dogs again, her claws deep in the ground.

Algernon jumped, startled, when the rodent-like creature shouted. He turned to where the creature was looking and saw Nemesis and some threatening-looking dogs. "Oh, dear," he said under his breath, mentally preparing himself to protect Eltrut at all costs.

Diablo's stubby ears folded back slightly when the cat growled, He growled back, it was deep and low, His head below his shoulders he then tilted his head when an awkward looking rodent appeared, he didn't know wither t growl or chuckle at the animal
Diablo and Smidge looked at each other slightly confused, and then tilted their heads, what were with these animals?

"I'm a bugger, yep yep!" Rapidly losing interest in the cat, unless it did something interesting, the awkward looking rodent in question, waddle-hopped towards the two dogs, stopping a couple feet away and sitting up on his hind legs. Drake's sniffer was sniffing at a mile a minute as he looked at the two. "Are you made of rocks?"

"Oh, dear," Algernon said again as he watched the rodent-like creature approach the dogs. "This can't be good." His mind set to work, devising a plan in which he might possibly be able to save the odd creature if he somehow got himself into trouble with the canines. "Eltrut, follow me," he said, heading toward a nearby tree. When they reached the base of the tree, Algernon stopped. "Stay here," he said to the turtle. He began to climb.

Nemesis

Nemesis was startled when, the dog growled. She lost her confidence for a moment, but regained it quickly. She was a proud, loner, and she needed to fit her reputation. She climbed partly up the tree, and hissed. She was where the dogs could still reach her if they tried, to show she wasn't chicken. But, if one attacked, she would quickly scoot up, though they might get her tail.

(( Me: She would gain a cool battle scar! Nemesis: What!? Are you telling them to bite my tail off!? Because if you are- Me: No, I-I wasn't! Please don't kill me! Ps: I'm telling the truth. . .))

Algernon made it to the top of the tree without being seen. He hid behind a cluster of leaves, watching the scene from a safe distance. He peeked down to check on Eltrut, who was currently digging a hole in the dirt. Algernon knew the turtle was only trying to pass the time, but the hole actually made for an effective hiding spot. Hopefully, he would be safe down there.

Diablo growled low and smirked "Yes." He replied with a devilish glance at his sister, He took a pace forward towards the animals and glanced up at the cat, Smidge charged the cat on the tree, and put her paws up, if she had wanted to attack the feline she would have.

Nemesis

Nemesis' fur bristled, she was getting scared, and annoyed. She climbed further up the tree, and looked down. She hissed, and growled. "Leave me alone!" She shouted at the dogs. She slashed at the dog who was standing under the tree, and purposely missed. "That was a warning, dog! Now get away!" She growled. She was used to this kind of thing in the city, and most dogs would eather chicken out, or get bored. Sometimes a human would chase a dog off, but Nemesis figured it was just to be mean to an animal, and when they tried to touch her, she would scratch them, and run off.

"Cool, I like rocks!" Drake did a little hopping thing on his back legs, moving a little closer to the massive dog. Because the dog moved as well, they were almost nose to nose, besides the fact that Drake was much shorter.

"Do you eat rocks too? I tried once, but it hurt my teeth."

Diablo sniffed the tiny creature and his lips curled back ever so slightly at the odor. He looked up as Nemisis attempted to swipe at his sibling he growled loudly, baring his long fangs. He charged the tree and put his paws on it, he extend full length and was larger then his sister, he let out a savage growl and drool dripped from his mouth, not hungrily but more aggressive and protective.

Moving backwards seems like the smart thing to do. Yep, want to stay away from that. So, following what his mind told him, Drake moved in a zig-zagging path towards the two dogs, sniffing the female this time. The two smelled similar, probably related in some way. "Heeeeeeeeey, you two smell funny." Something else seemed to catch his attention. Was that... Blood? "Like, really funny."

Smidge looked at the ferret and began to violently sniff him, her nose nudged against this belly knocking him back, she stood over him sniffing wildly, She pinned the small rodent down with her nose, curiously sniffing him and licking him a few times, He tasted foul.

Nemesis

Nemesis climbed further up the tree, to where the dog couldn't reach her. She glared at the dog, and growled again.

((Sorry for it being soooooo short. I'm feeling a little depressed. . .))

Algernon gasped at the sight of the canine pinning the rodent-like creature to the ground. He had to stop himself from jumping down to help him. He had to wait for the right moment to pounce.

Smidge wagged her tail and continued to sniff the rodent, she nipped ever so gently. Diablo bared his teeth and hopped off the tree

Drake squirmed under the dog's nose, trying to control himself. "St-stop that! It-it tickles! Pthahahahahaha!" The little bugger continued rolling around in mirth.

Nemesis

Nemesis climbed to the top of the tree, and made her way to the other side. She looked at the ground, maybe she could just climb down on that side, and run away. But, if she did, the dogs might catch her, and if she got away she would be completely alone. No Algernon, Eltrut, odd rodent, or even the bird. She went back to the other side, and looked around for the little creatures. She couldn't find any of them, except for the odd rodent, who was near the dogs. If she could find that one stray cat she met in her first few days in the ally, they could maybe take them down, with a little trouble. She hissed at them whenever they got near the tree, not only is she in there, but it was her territory.

Diablo looked around and his stomach let out a soft growl, He was getting hungry, "Smidge." He said nudging her and looking down at the odd rodent and Smidge tickled it, He smirked "I'm getting hungry." She nodded in reply. "Me too." She wagged her tail and Diablo began to walk away, Smidge did as well, following her old brother so the could go hunt.
