Jacen nodded, then got onto Misty. He did it gently, very unsure and unconfident of the idea of flying on a giant owl. He looked around, he did not have a fear of flights, not at all... okay, just a little. Jacen gulped and looked at Ari, a bit unsure.

Ari looked at Jacen. "If you fear falling off, I can give you a preventative measure." Ari snapped his fingers and Jacen flashed white. He hadn't used that spell since they crashed into the castle to take down Alreos. "It's a simple summoning spell that binds the passenger to the beast by their will. The moment you want to get off, you will unbind."

Misty started purring as he hit the sweetspot. "Ah yes. Right there." She then remembered his question. The scratching wiped her brain clean. "I-I'm good." She didn't even know it was Tyr. Since she was young (Just over a year and a half), her own memory wasn't great. She had to rely on tapping into Ari's memories to learn and re-learn the things around her until she got it down. It was how she remembered Tyr's words.


"If yo-y-you scratch the-there while I'm fl-fl-flying, I don't wan-wanna lose control." She was already struggling to not drop to the ground, which was a more comfortable position than standing..........on on her back, which was an even more comfortable position since those on her back could make her itchy.

I guess that I am the better sibling after all..." he said, with a rather cocky voice. He performed a heel turn around, but then said "Just kidding, though we have to get to the castle before these adventuring twerps. I want to do my job for today, then get these ridiculous robes off." he said, annoyed with his clothes. He only wore the robes for intimidation and magic-enhancing abilities.

Jacob spent most his life in meditation and training, so socializing and making friends wasn't exactly his strong suit. Even if he was social, how many people would invite the compulsive meditator to a party? Celia though managed to retain his interest without even trying though, and he liked being around her

(Man. We are up for one of the first plot-twists. My prediction is that in about 10-15 pages you will discover a big hint about Eliphas and Jenika, what they want and why they want it )

The knight would be knocked back a far distance, and he would slid across the dirt along his back. After several moments of remaining still he would slowly get up and hold up his shield towards the black figure and the cloaked man. The chitinous thing would slowly approach but stop midway as the knight disappeared into the dense forest behind him. The thing spoke, now through its real voice. It's mouth cracked open and the sound of cartilage or some other slime tearing could be heard as he spoke. From the tower, the sound of crying could still be heard

"You have no business here, though you did save me a lot of time. Tell me why you are here."

"You are right I don't have any business here. But I don't have business anywhere. I just hop from place to place hoping to find a follower of the old ones. But looks like I've hit another dead end. Might as well start walking... Again."

As soon as she said butcher... he knew she was not joking. Goosebumps appeared on some of his body parts, and he heel turned to face his sister again. "How about we delete that 'butcher' part? I mean, these guys didn't do anything wrong. It's Leighten that we're after, right?" he tried convincing his sister into avoiding bloodshed and violence.


Come on... Come on... I know you're in there, just listen to what I said... he thought, trying to bring out what's good in her sister. He sighed and turned around again, to face the castle entrance. The same one that it happened, so many years ago... or at least from what Alreos told me. Eliphas thought to himself again. There were guards outside, Eliphas led the way and approached slowly.


The guards unsheathed their weapons, but Eliphas shot two paralyzing lightning bolts at them, hoping his sister wouldn't notice he did not kill them.
