A Change of Heart

He smiled, finally calming down. "So, you nearly finished with your blizzard?"

 

[IceQueen]

Mei nodded, finishing up her creamy desert.

 

[Tenome]

"So, what now?" He asked, leaning back into his booth.

 

[IceQueen]

Mei sighed. 'Not sure, but going back to school is going to get our buts handed to us by the principal.

 

[Tenome]

He checked his phone. "Thankfully, school ends in like thirty."

 

[IceQueen]

Mei smiled. 'Yeah, thank goodness.""

 

[Tenome]

"I'll text Matty to grab our bags. I should have grabbed them." He pulled out his phone and began to type. "Oh well. We'll see if we can separate him from his boyfriend long enough to do us a favor."

 

[IceQueen]

Mei raised an eyebrow. "Wow, I guess you have some interesting friend."

 

[Tenome]

"Well, I've shipped it forever, so... If anything, he's not interesting enough."

 

[IceQueen]

Mei laughed, using her right hand to cover some of her laugh. "That sounds like fun." She said, her smile turning a bit sad as she thought about how she wished she had friends.

 

[Tenome]

He looked up from his screen. "You know, I think you'd like my friends. Dumb and pretty, most of them, but likable."

 

[IceQueen]

Mei smiled. "Alright. Just tell that one to try not to hit on me, or I will literally hit on him."

 

[Tenome]

"I don't think he could hold back if he tried. Gabe has a certain fire in his veins," he chuckled. "But he'll learn, I suppose."

 

[IceQueen]

Mei smiled, crossing her arms. ""I think the broken bones gave him a hint."

 

[Tenome]

"Broken bones. Bit of an exaggeration." His phone buzzed, and he looked up at her. "Any plans tonight?"

 

[IceQueen]

Mei shook her head. 'Homework, well let's just say I finished all the homework for the next month." She said.

 

[Tenome]

"So that's a...?" He asked for clarification.

 

[IceQueen]

Mei nodded. "A yes."

 

[Tenome]

He shrugged, slightly disappointed. "Maybe text time then."

 

[IceQueen]

Mei smiled. "I was joking, it's a no." She said, leaning back. 'I know, girls are confusing." She said.

 

[Tenome]

He shook his head. "You tease. Anyway, apparently there is a bonfire tonight in Jamie's backyard. You up to going?"

 

[IceQueen]

Mei smiled. "Alright, as long as you're friends don't point a gun at me."

 

[Tenome]

He frowned. Where the hell did that even come from? "I'll text and see who all is going."

 

[IceQueen]

Mei smiled. "Alright." She said, leaning back.

 

[Tenome]

He received a text in response to his question. "Let's see, we have my friends-you saw them earlier today-Mia, Ashley, and..." He scrolled down, "Oh, my girlfriend."
