A Change of Heart

Mei smiled, walking up with him and ordering a oreo blizzard.

Izzy paid for both treats, and when they were done, he led them to a two person booth.

 

[IceQueen]

Mei smiled, sitting down.

 

[Tenome]

Izzy did his best to eat only the minty chocolate covering and save the I cream for last.

 

[IceQueen]

Mei just dug in.

 

[Tenome]

Izzy looked up at her as she shoveled the icecream into her mouth. "Be careful you don't get brain freeze," he warmed.

 

[IceQueen]

Mei smiled and taking a spoonful of blizzard.

 

[Tenome]

"So, what's going on with your life?" He asked after a pause. "You have a boyfriend, or a girlfriend?" He added after a little thought.

 

[IceQueen]

Mei felt her cheeks heat up a bit and she took another bite. "Hmm, no boyfriend, or girlfriend." She said. "And nothing is really going on." She lied.

 

[Tenome]

He nodded thoughtfully. "Yeah, I get you, nothing is really interesting in my life right now either. It's all just finishing up school on a high note so I can start college later in the year. Did you want a girlfriend, or boyfriend for that matter?"

Mei chuckled. "No one even dares get close enough. I haven't a single person in mind."

 

[Tenome]

"Really? You know, you're not half bad once you drop the 'I'll beat you up' thing."

 

[IceQueen]

Mei chuckled. "Yeah, but the intimidating look kind off puts people off."

 

[Tenome]

"That's too bad. You seem nice enough under all that gruffness."

 

[IceQueen]

Mei blushed taking another bite.

Once all of the chocolate was successfully removed, he set on eating the mint icecream. It was already starting to melt, and it slid between his fingers.

Mei smiled, looking at his ice cream dribble as she took another bite.

 

[Tenome]

He took a moment to suck all of the drippings off his fingers and chuckled to himself. It had been awhile since his fingers had been so sticky and slick.

 

[IceQueen]

Mei smiled, licking most of the cream off her lips.

 

[Tenome]

He leaned back and looked at the joke on the stick. "Hey, why did the fish have a bad report card?"

Mei laughed. 'Not sure, why did he?" She asked.

 

[Tenome]

He began to laugh so hard he could barely tell the punch line. "Because all his grades were under C!"


It was pathetic how hard he cracked up, but he laughed at his own jokes even harder.

Mei laughed along with him, leaning back on the bench for support.

 

[Tenome]

"God it sucks so much!" He wheezed. "So bad!"

 

[IceQueen]

Mei nodded, wheezing two.
