Fandom A Chance Meeting at Ilex Forest

She walked over to him and nuzzled him under the chin. "Well you're the best in my book."

This makes him spark, and he squeaks a little, surprised at the sudden electric charge.

"Uh, sorry, I guess I got excited."

He blushes again, but then looks at Balaa. "She'll be fine. I'm glad."

"Yeah, but she'll probably be hurting for the next few days." She said slightly depressed.

"Who will guard the forest?" he asks, a little anxiously.

"You will," comes the silent reply. "You and Simon will guard the forest, and it's life source."

Danielle didn't know how to respond, she didn't expect mommy to be awake, and the thought of protecting the forest scared her. "U..us?"

"Yes, of course. You are to be the next guardian -- this is good practice for you both. You know where the Life Orb is, so you'll know how to keep others from finding it."

Simon watches, aware something is happening, though he's unclear as to what.

"A...am I ready? i'm still really bad at controlling my powers, a...and I don't want poor Simon to get hurt.."

"I believe in you. And you're not bad at controlling them. In fact, I would recommend finding a larger Pokemon and bending its mind to help you in your mission. Do not worry -- I have all the reason to believe you will succeed."

"Is everything okay?" asks Simon.

"O...okay mommy" She said back, then turned to Simon. "Y....yeah everything is fine." (What time of day Is it?)

"Are you sure? You seem a little worried." Simon pats your back.

"Peace, Danielle. I would not ask you to do something I did not believe you could do. Besides, I sense a Lucario passing our cave. Capturing her should serve your purpose."

(Probably around 8:00pm)

"Ok" She replied. She turned towards the entrance and looked for said Lucario, momentarily ignoring Simon on accident.

Sure enough, she's there. The quiet fighting/steel type hardly seems to notice Danielle's arrival, and is in fact more focused on finding a pleasant place to sit. It's unclear, but it seems she's preparing to call it a night for meditation.

Her eyes glowed blue, ad she strained hoping to do it quickly. "You belong to me"

Lucario does a double-take at the voice in her head.

"Who's...there? "

Her eyes are starting to change, but very slowly as she pushes back, trying to identify the intruder on her psyche.

She was a little worried but kept at it. "You don't have any free will"

"S-s-sure I-I do...who...are....you?"

She gets up, trying to walk away from the source of her trouble -- though it's a struggle, and she doesn't seem to be doing much more than barely holding her own.

"I am Danielle and you belong to me." She thought now straining hard.

"Da-Danielle...that's a-- nice name-- I...I...I belong to you," she replies as the last of her willpower gives out. She stands still, completely under the sway of the smaller Pokemon.

"Youre going to protect me and my family for as long as we keep you." She said now more relaxed.

"I exist to protect. I will protect Danielle and her family as long as I belong to Danielle. I serve at Danielle's command."

For the first time, she looks at her smaller but mightier controller.

"I am yours, Danielle. Do with me as you wish."

"Good" She said actually speaking now. "Thank you for your service, I promise this is only temporary." She said, slightly conscious about taking her over.

Lucario nods, then follows Danielle back to the cave.

"Whoa, a Lucario!" says an awed Simon.

"Nice work, sweetheart. Perhaps you should explore your catch's mind -- find out what makes her tick -- her name, that kind of thing. After all, it's best to know a bit about those we capture -- and Lucario are fiercely loyal."

"Ok" She said, and she did just that Diving into her mind, looking for her name, then family after.

Inside Lucario's mind seems to be a sort of training ground. She can be seen standing in the middle, looking rather blank, but from the apparent ribbons and trophies Danielle's able to piece together that Lucario is actually named Liese -- that she's quite a fighter, both competitively and defensively -- that she trains hard every day and meditates every night -- comes from a large family of well-trained Lucario -- is the youngest of her siblings -- and only recently evolved, among other things. There are no books, like with Simon. It's all plaques and statues and training areas.
