A Chance For a Second Chance

((Gideon walked off and decided to do things on his own since he kind of dislikes everyone at this point. Not doing so good on finding out about his back story >.o))

(Sorry! I had other activities and rushed through the replies! I'm now going to make Lena go out and look for you because she's in love I mean because she's worried )

---

Lena glanced around for Gideon, she noticed everyone was leaving and didn't know what was happening. Taking off into the woods, Lena searched for the phoenix, hoping that he wasn't hurt or injured.

As her bare feet his the hard ground, Lena felt the some sharp rocks cut the soles of her feet, leaving a small bloody trail behind her.
"Where could he be..?" Lena furrowed her eyebrows as she ran around the forest. "I turn around to talk to others and come back to see that he's gone?" Lena had grown somewhat attached to the man, considering he stole her first kiss, and, to be honest, kind of had a little crush on him.

Spotting a large structure, Lena slowed down and neared it warily, glancing around the woods for anything dangerous. If there was a dragon and phoenix, there were bound to be others who weren't as friendly as Gideon and the female dragon.

Gideon sat in the same place in the woods. The blue fire aura that surrounded him kind of gave off his location if you were close enough. He continued to sit there, bored and irritated. "I wonder how many times I should punch one of them in the face..." He thought to himself. He was completely serious about harming the people in the group the next chance he got, he just wasn't going to go and look for them. He wanted to wait to see if they bumped into each other soon, or if any of them decided to look for him.

As Lena neared the structure, she noticed a bright blue light and stood behind a tree, peeking out from behind it. Checking around for any danger, Lena's eyes landed on a familiar shape. Gideon. Smiling in relief, Lena walked up to Gideon and tapped his shoulder.

"Where have you been?" Lena questioned him, concern in her dull eyes. "I've been looking everywhere for you." Lena sat down next to the man and began massaging her bloody bare feet.

"I decided to go out on my own. I don't work well in groups." Gideon said bluntly, he seemed a bit hurt. Gideon looked at her with a bit of anger. "What do you want?" Gideon said a little rudely, angry that she cared about those two jerks so much despite all they've said and done.

"She left for the woods," Ace said, referring to Lena heading to find Gideon. "to find that... that bastard!" Hatred filled his heart at the thought of those two, and how that 'Lena' girl actually had feelings for the tall demon. Grabbing Xiana's hand, he began jogging off to the north to find a city, village, anything. "We need to find civilization!"

Lena bit her lip, somewhat upset with Gideon's words. "I....I was..." Lena stared down at her sore feet. "...I was just worried about you..." Lena looked up into Gideon's eyes, showing her concern about the man. "...That's all..." Lena stared back down at her feet, not knowing what to say to the angry phoenix.

Not wanting the atmosphere to be so heavy, Lena flashed Gideon a practiced smile. "And you don't just leave a girl after you steal their first kiss." Lena chuckled, trying to lift the mood. Years of having to please people did a lot with Lena's charisma, I mean, she has to be charismatic to run a company.

Xavier contemplated the situation. 'I could either try and find a city or I can take my chances and try and get information from that Phoenix.' He would go with the latter, considering that the angry man appeared to be a resident of these lands. He walked off in the direction he left from an began searching. He wasn't eager to meet the man again, especially since he attacked him for no given reason, but he needed to figure things out.

He kept walking, until he spotted a shelter of sorts. Sure enough, there was the angry bird man. He walked forward and leaned against one of the trees. He spotted the girl from earlier in the area also. 'Is she here for information too?' It seemed possible, until she started talking about the kiss. 'I guess not...'

Gideon looked at Lena, "I don't want to sound controlling, but I will not be your friend if you keep caring about those two fools who insult me and antagonize me every chance they get." Gideon said, completely serious. "I will not lie, I do harbor feelings for you." Gideon smirked as he pinched Lena's cheek then gave her another quick and small kiss on the lips. "But I have gone a long time alone because of the people I refuse to associate with. I can go another year or so or how ever long it takes to get out of here." He said as he sighed and continued relaxing.

Lena frowned and held Gideon's hand tightly in her own smaller one. "I don't think I could ever stop caring," Lena started, her dark blue eyes softening a bit. "It's kind of....just...me, I guess." Lena glanced up at Gideon and gave him a shy kiss on his cheek. "But, I do care for you," Lena blushed as she admitted her feelings subtly. Not knowing how to say it in words, Lena stared up into Gideon's eyes as a light pink blush found its way to Lena's cheeks. Leaning in, Lena gave Gideon a small kiss on the lips, hoping that he would know what she meant.

(Oh, god. I'm so bad at romance. No wonder I'm single... *forever alone*)

Gideon put his hand on her cheek and held the kiss for a couple seconds then broke it. "I don't mind you being caring and all, but I will stop hating those two fools once they apologize to me." Gideon smiled and petted Lena's head. He felt kind of happy someone cared about him enough to look for him because they were worried. But his anger towards Xiana and Ace didn't change at all, if anything it only got worse with each passing moment.
"And if you are telling me that you will always care about them despite all they have said and done to me, then I would rather you stay out of sight..." Gideon said, regretting it, but knowing himself well enough to know what he could and could not handle. He could not handle being around someone who cared more about his enemies than him. Whether it was in their nature or not.

Lena pulled away from Gideon and frowned. "You know that's not what I mean." Lena hugged her knees to her chest and gave him a small smile. "I've barely even talked to them," Lena's face went a little red from embarrassment. "And I did slap Ace when I first met him..." She mumbled, Lena's eyes suddenly found that a tree was a very interesting thing to look at.

Gideon smiled and laughed for the first time ever around anyone "I saw that, it was pretty funny hehe" Gideon continued to laugh for a bit then he sighed and smiled at Lena. "So, you actually like me? Despite all my... flaws?" Gideon asked, uncertain as to why she liked him. He was starting to feel close to Lena, he kind of got a sense of familiarity and trust.

Xavier listened, as he leaned against the trees. 'If this is how she treats strangers who try to kill people without reason, I wonder how she treats her friends.' This man was obviously crazy. He attacks people unprovoked, kisses a stranger, and then blames the people he tried to murder, as if they tried to stab him. He was obviously twisting the truth in his head to what he preferred.

'What they've done to you? They didn't do a damn thing. You overreacted and tried to kill them.' This man was like a child throwing a tantrum. He'd choose those dead people over this guy for sure, but he didn't walk all the way here for no reason. He approached the two calmly and held his hands up in a placating gesture, showing he meant no harm. He had no reason to hate him, he never did or say anything to him. He helped the person he's been kissing all day and tries to settle things peacefully. If Xavier was a different kind of person, he would be down right pissed. He tried to kill him without provoking him. But, Xavier wasn't like that, so he held no grudges.

Xiana was shocked when Ace suddenly grabbed her hand and opened her mouth as if to say something, but instead kept quiet, focusing more on keeping up with him as they jogged toward the woods. As hey jogged she kept thinking of how she died. All she knew was that when she woke up in this 'Limbo' place, her hair was soaked with water and she felt a strange pain around her neck. Was I murdered...? But by who?

Gideon's hand glowed yellow as a shield of light surrounded Lena, keeping her in a little safe bubble where no one and nothing could touch or harm her. He stood up, "What do you want?" Gideon asked, looking down at Xavier. Gideon didn't like this man at all for merely touching Lena. Gideon was extremely protective of those he cared about, so even staring at someone he liked, let alone touch them, wasn't a really good idea if you wanted him to like you.

Lena poked Gideon in the chest and gave him a bright smile. "I think you're perfect," Realizing what she had just said, Lena's face flushed red as she averted her eyes away from Gideon. "A little violent, but we can always work on it together." Lena turned back to Gideon and stared into his red eyes. "But, behind all that, you're a very kind person, Gideon." Lena caressed the man's cheek gently. "The others just don't see that." Getting up on her knees, Lena's soft pink lips stretched into a smile as she brought her face closer to Gideon's, their lips just barely touching.

Looking up at Xavier, Lena pulled away in embarrassment, her face as red as a tomato. "I didn't notice him come in..." Lena mentally smacked herself for not noticing the other man.

Gideon glared at Xavier, wanting him to go away. Despite this his curiosity allowed him to let Xavier stay here in peace. He was wanting to know what the man wanted. He was using every bit of energy he could to not burn this man and turn him into ash.

It appeared that the man was willing to listen for once. Remembering his inability to speak, he grabbed a nearby stick and began writing in the dirt. "I didn't come to cause trouble. I was hoping you could tell me a little bit about what's going on." Xavier was glad he was in an area where he could write, otherwise he wouldn't be able to communicate.

"I am not from this land, I know as much as you do... Well, for the most part" Gideon chuckled to himself. Gideon held many secrets, one of them being information as to how to get out of where ever they were. It wasn't anything specific, just a general thing. "Now, if you have nothing better to say or do, leave me and Lena alone please" Gideon said, actually being kind towards Xavier.

'So much for getting information.' Xavier grabbed the stick once more and began writing. "Very well." Xavier got up to leave. He was a fair distance away, before running back. He wrote one more message and then left for good. Inscribed on the dirt was, "I am not your enemy." Xavier should've hated the man, but he didn't. If he wanted to be enemies, then so be it. However, he would not hurt the man or consider him an enemy.

"Hey, is that... light?" Ace said as he spotted an ominous light coming from somewhere in the woods. Stopping in his tracks, he turned to Xiana. "You see that too, right?" He slowly advanced toward the light, hoping it wasn't a threat.

Gideon put down the shield and smiled and Lena "Alright, we're safe now" Gideon smiled at Lena for a bit then looked around again. "Well seems like we have alone time. I like that" He smiled, sitting back down next to Lena. Gideon enjoyed one-on-one time with people. "You know, this one time my sister and I were alone in the forest, so we decided to pretend we were elves. We did so many crazy things!" Gideon bursts into laughter at the memory of him and his sister playing as children.
