A Chance For a Second Chance

"Leave! Her! Out of this!" Ace screamed as he ran full speed toward Gideon, tackling him before he had a chance to throw the rock. Landing on top of the flaming stone, his clothing quickly caught fire and began to singe his skin underneath the thin garments.

(Wait, I think he meant "scaring" not "scarring" haha unless it was a typo then nvm)

Lena covered her mouth in shock at what Gideon did. "My...my first kiss...." Lena thought to herself, feeling very discombobulated. "That....was my first...kiss.."

Spinning around on the heels of her feet, Lena was ready to ask Gideon what that was about, only to see said Gideon holding a flaming rock and a girl looking very angry. "What is going on here?!" Lena hurried to put out the fire before someone got cooked.

Fai spotted something glowing down by the lake and jogged towards it. A group of people were in an argument. Fai chuckled lightly as he leaned his back on a tree and watched the event take place.

Xiana smirked, no fear in her eyes as she stood her ground. "I'm already dead. What else could happen?" What is this guy? She was shocked when she saw Ace run and land on the fire and catching himself on fire. She ran over and pulled him away. "Jeez are you an idiot??" she looked really worried.

((Oh man did I read it wrong? Aw I think screwed up if I did lol))

Gideon growled at Ace and Xiana but he said nothing. He got up and looked toward Lena "They started it..." He said, almost like a child who was caught doing something he wasn't suppose to be doing. He seemed to react only like that to Lena, almost like a pet.
His flames seemed to get more intense as he glared at the man and woman who antagonized him. The only thing stopping him from burning them all to death was Lena's great influence over him. He continued to stand there, waiting to see how Lena would respond to his actions. "..."

She noticed how obedient he was toward the girl. Xiana stared back giving him the same look. She looked at the girl next to him. "Keep your dog on a leash got it?" she flipped him off and then looked back at Ace. "Are you ok?"

"DOG!?!" Gideon's anger seemed to flare up even more. Gideon grabbed both Xiana and Ace, lifted them up, then smashed them together roughly then the ground just as hard. A fire ball formed in his hand as he lifted it, their death seemed like the only thing that would calm his anger.
He knew they were all dead already but he would try as hard as he could to kill them again. If he couldn't then he would hurt them as much as he could until he calmed down. The fire ball grew slowly and turned from orange to blue within seconds. He continued to stare down at them, imagining their burning bodies and how much he would enjoy to see that imagine become reality.

Lena sighed, grabbing Gideon's arm before he could set Ace and the girl on fire. "Humans aren't as fire resistant as you are, Gideon." Lena tried to ruffle Gideon's hair, only to realize that she was too short to do so. "Or Gideon's just too tall." Lena pouted stubbornly. "It's not very nice to hurt people." Lena scolded the phoenix gently, she was never one to get angry herself. Lena found that being angry is a waste of time, and only ends up with trouble.

Lena approached the girl and Ace with a worried look on her face. "Are you okay?" Lena stared down at the two people on the ground. "And," Lena glanced at the girl. "He's not a dog." Lena knew what the girl meant, but, she didn't really like how she was treating Gideon. But, Gideon had overreacted.

Leaning on a tree, Fai clutched his stomach, which pained from laughing very hard. Deciding to give the people a scare, Fai started to jog towards them, with a wicked idea in his head.

Gideon was about to bring the fire ball down and finish them off until he saw Lena get in the way. "Lena, please get out of the way..." Gideon requested kindly. He saw Fai but decided to ignore him, his attention still on Ace and Xiana. "I don't want you burning with these two..." He warned Lena, hoping she would move back.

Slowly pushing himself up after the head-on collision forced up the two by Gideon, Ace knelt beside the girl on the ground before picking her up and running off, just to get away from that tall devil. Reaching a shady tree a good distance away from Gideon and Lena, he set her down, and looked at her. "You okay? I've gotten used to the pain, but... I hope you're fine." He said to the girl with concern in his eyes, feeling sympathetic to someone for once.

'I've had enough of this.' Xavier approached the man with his blank expression. His hand was gripping the large shard of glass in his coat pocket, just in case the man tried anything. He tried to issue a warning, but he realized he couldn't speak. 'Why can't I talk. I hate having amnesia.' He couldn't even give warnings. He just kept staring at the man with his blank expression. He didn't look that intimidating, given that his hair made him look like a female, but anything could happen.

Gideon quickly smashed the fire ball into Xavier's chest, it didn't do that much damage since it had to be thrown to detonate. But it did send him back a good distance. Gideon sat down and took deep breaths, trying to calm down. "Lena only cares about those fools..." Gideon mumbled to himself. "They are the ones starting crap..." Gideon continued to mumble things. The flames dying down as Gideon calmed himself.

Lena stared up at Gideon with an unimpressed expression. Raising one of her eyebrows at the man, Lena shook her head him. "Gideon..." Lena started to rant at the man. "Eeek!" Lena shrieked when a flame of burning fire was shot right between her and Gideon.

Clutching her burnt hand, Lena turned her head to see a smirking woman with smoke coming from her mouth. "What...in the world...?" Lena stared at the woman, confused at where the fire came from.

Xiana looked up at him. "I'm fine... But forget what I said about a leash. That girl needs to put him on a chain" she giggled a bit but it turned into a cough and she slowly sat up. She looked over at that guy and saw him hurting another guy. "Someone has anger issues..."

Xavier sat up and dusted himself off. 'I never thought I would be so glad to be dead.' He approached again, still not making any moves. He had factors that helped right now. He was dead and his numbness remained, so he couldn't feel pain that well, including that fireball. He decided to keep approaching the man. 'If I can't feel anything, then I have nothing to lose.'

Gideon turn his head "It would be wise to leave me alone..." He warned. Gideon saw what happened to Lena and he quickly got up and stood in between Lena and Fai. Gideon growled and he waited, ready for a fight. "Stay behind me little one..." Gideon said calmly, hoping he wouldn't have to get into anything serious.

"Tied up, if you ask me." Chuckling a bit, he turned to see what she [Xiana] was looking at. The 'tall devil', he Ace had come to call him now, was trying to kill another man. "Yeah... And before any more crazy shit happens, I'm Ace," he held out a hand to the girl sitting beside him, "and you are?"

Xavier kept approaching, ignoring the warning. If this man couldn't hurt him, he had no reason to fear him. 'This man definitely has issues.' He appears to be gender biased and prone to anger. He also seems to form attachments quickly with those that appeal to him, even when the feeling isn't mutual. He continued approaching an noticed the new person in the area. 'We don't need another violent character.'

Lena immediately went behind Gideon, her burnt hand throbbing in pain.

Fai, on the other hand (see what I did there? lol), stood dominantly in front of the phoenix. Smirking mischievously at the other man. "Or what?" Fai chuckled lowly, if only this little phoenix knew what he was facing. Fai had seen the man go up in flames and having a few other phoenix friends, he immediately knew that this man was not human.

Gideon didn't really like violence but from experience he found out that that was the only way people would either listen to him, or leave him alone. He did enjoy sparring, but only because it was in his nature to have SOME conflict in his life. He looked towards Xiana and Ace, then Xavier, then Lena, then the woman who hurt Lena. "So many people... Yet barely any ears..." Gideon said bluntly.

She smiled at his comment. Xiana took his hand in hers gently and shook it. "I'm Xiana" Usually she didn't trust people so easily, but this guy looked pretty ok. His dog tags caught her eye. "Where you in the military?" for some reason she was really curious about this guy.

"You think I am like a regular phoenix?" Gideon smirked, he thought Fai might know about his dark secret. The fact that no one did so far gave Gideon the upper-hand. He thought about what would be best to do without hurting Lena or getting her in harms way. "I'd go harass those other two if I were you..." Gideon gestured to Xiana and Ace.

Xavier might've listened to the man if he had told him calmly to stay away, but that's not what he did. He severely overreacted and used violence as his first method. He was more like a child than anything. He approached the girl known as Lena and grabbed a handful of water. He started pouring the cooling liquid over her burnt hand, ignoring the violent people. He wouldn't let these two stop him from helping someone.

"I.. I can't remember. Why do you ask?" He looked at her, and noticed she was looking at the silver things she had called 'dog tags'. For some reason, he knew that's what they were, but had no idea they were associated with a military of some sorts. "These... Can you tell me what they mean?" He pointed to them, hoping this girl could offer some information on his past. Anything.

Lena gave the man a grateful smile. "Thank you," Lena let him pour the cold water over her burnt hand. Glancing over to the two people that were having a stare down contest, Lena frowned. "How do we split those two up?" Gideon looked like he was going to kill someone, and the woman looked like she had just killed someone.

Fai approached the phoenix and smirked at him. "Now why would I do that?" Fai trailed her hand across the phoenix's face, which was hot to touch if it was a normal person touching him. Fai's eyes glimmered with excitement.

Xavier didn't know how to answer that question. He had an idea in mind, but he didn't know how to physically answer. Being mute was troublesome. An idea came to mind. He approached the newest arrival, hand still gripping the glass shard in his coat pocket. He got closer, until he was a few steps away from the attacker. 'I'm an idiot for doing this.'
