A Chance For a Second Chance

((Sorry guys my stupid alert thing doesn't tell me when people post -.- and now I'm 2 pages behind lol))

The word death repeated over and over in Xiana's head. Was she dead? But how did she die...? She touched her hair, still drenched from water. Did I drown...? She stays quiet watching the light, deep in her thoughts trying to figure out how she died, or even the last thing she could remember.

(I'm just gonna repost it)

"No. No. No. No. No!" Annie yelled suddenly. The laughter of the crowd that stood before her grew silently surprised by her outburst. "I hate you all!" Annie turned away from them, including the boy who was still trying to stand up for her. "Hear that? Your girlfriend even hates you. How selfish! Not surprising though, you aren't the only one she has," The group continues, laughing and Anne runs away, as the sound fades more and more per step. She ran towards the stairs, going up and up and up to the seventh floor.

She couldn't handle this anymore. Her scarf blows in the wind caused by the draft that came when she opened the window. She looked down and kicked the screen off sliding herself onto the open window as she let her legs dangle. "Annie, No!" She hears her one friend cry out. She turns her head and looks at him, tears beginning to well up in her eyes. "Annie, there are other solutions to this. Don't jump, please. I can help you through this."

Annie shakes her head, and slides her self off, letting her body turn as she fell head first, her hat falling off three feet towards the ground. A huge stinging burst of pain shoots through her whole body, and she hears cracks all over, and she feels herself twist in awkward, inhuman ways, but not for long, before everything fades to black.

Annie wakes three hours later to nothing but darkness and she sees a small light and she reaches towards it, lightly walking closer to it. She can still walk? Was it all a dream? Or had she really killed herself. She stands where the light is still faded, not wanting to get to close to the light, just in case. She runs through the possibilities in her mind. 1. She was dreaming everything that had happened and it wasn't over. Or 2. She was dead and this is Hell. She notices a group of others and flinches, attempting to approach but stops, standing in low light.

Darrian knelt next to the dying deer, seeming to be mauled by a bear but oddly enough, bear or not, the creature didn't take the deer with it. As Darrian put his hand on the animal, it tried to kick, as if frightened, but it was to weak. Each breath of the deer became slower and slower, as it's eyes got more and more heavy, until they closed and the breathing stopped.

Suddenly, everything got pitch black for Darrian, and shortly after that the spirit of the now deceased deer illuminated the area a little bit, although it didn't help because he couldn't see the walls or floor. He knew where he was, because he went there every time he absorbed a soul- He was in Limbo. Although, it was a lot louder than usual, although that's not saying much because it's usually silent. He looked around to see a group of people practically screaming at each other, near the Limbo sign. Off to the side of the people were a boy and a girl next to each other. Another man sitting next to the Limbo sign. This was all that Darrian could see, as the spirit of the deer finished entering him and the world of Iskelan came back into view.

Darrian stood up from the deer, immediately hearing a not-so-distant growl and roar. 'Whatever killed this deer is back for it's trophy...' he thought to himself. 'So let's see what this deer had to offer.' Distant footsteps became louder and the beast came from the thick tree and brush that was previously obstructing his view.

As Darrian guessed, it was a bear. As far as strength, the bear greatly overpowered him, but it didn't know how to use weapons. 'First things first, let's check out my super-awesome deer powers.' Focusing, Darrian called upon the spirit of the deer, it was quick to respond. 'The deer wants to help, that makes it easier,' he thought. A pulse of energy went through him and he grinned to himself, getting ready to fight the bear with deer-enhancements. Suddenly, he realized something- he now had antlers.

"Oh, you have got to be kidding m-" his sentence was quickly cut off by the fast-swinging paw of the bear, which effortlessly knocked him not only onto the ground, but a couple of feet away from his original position. In a sudden daze, Darrian tried to get onto his feet- he was successful but staying on them wasn't an easy task. He slowly reached for his sword, which was in a sheath on his back. Luckily, the deer antlers took the blow of the deer, so they did come with use, but now they were just stubs on his head. Pulling his sword out, Darrian readied himself the best he could in his short time. The bear charged again, Darrian dashed to the left while swinging in a sideways arch on his right, gashing the bear's left arm.

Darrian shook his head, trying his best to get rid of what was left of the blurriness. The bear, being so big, had to have time to recover after the charge. Darrian used this down time to his advantage. He gashed the bear again, wounding it further. Darrian's speed was better than the bear's strength as long as Darrian didn't get caught by it. The bear turned around, and Darrian prepared himself for another charge. Instead of charging, the bear turned around and ran the other way, being obscured in the brush yet again.

Darrian sighed, feeling his head, and realizing that the antler stubs were still there, so he released the deer's spirit and they slowly disappeared. Darrian knew of a nearby pond and began to walk to it, to relax a little. On the way, his thoughts drifted to the group of people in Limbo.

'That was a larger group than normal... Are they all going to be sent here to Iskelan?' He wondered.

(( Wow, that was a really freaking long post, my first post on an actual RP since I got back! :) ))

Gideon turned and looked toward Annie, something inside him shifting and changing a bit from the feeling he got when he looked at her. Gideon thought for a bit then looked away, knowing how Annie had gotten there. "Truly pathetic..." Gideon thought as he took a step closer to the others who had gotten there earlier. Gideon wasn't one to dislike someone so quickly, but he knew what this girl had done and he felt nothing towards her but disgust and disappointment.

(arrrrrgh *beats alrets* T.T)

Enzo watched all these poeple coming to the light, as the woman came towards him, he realized she was just a person, so he slipped back on his shoe. stumping it bak on he watched another guy shouting for them to to stop yelling. yeah real brilliant Sherlock yell to cease the yelling....he smirked a bit when the woman slapped him before backing up as more people came.

Okay, so this was no game....limbo meant something else....he was not educated and did not care about relgion or death matters. Enzo squeezed his eyes shut and layed on the unseen ground covering his ears he started humming and chanting that he wanted to go home....he got so desperate, he even clicked his heels together three times. opening his eyes and sitting up, he looked around. No lush lawn or huge manor....just that stupid sign, crazy people....more of them now...

"Danm it....." he muttered before laying back down.

Gideon turned and looked at Enzo. Out of boredom he decided to walk over and see what the deal was with him. As he walked towards him he noticed something off about this place. He couldn't get it out of the back of his head that something was wrong. Someone or something wasn't suppose to be there and Gideon could feel it. He just shrugged it off and looked down at Enzo, waiting for a reaction of any kind.

Enzo was busy glaring resentfully at....well, nothing? wait!Iif he moved a bit, he could glare at the stupid limbo sign. Seeming happy with this, Enzo not bothering to get up started twisting himself around to face the sign, half way there, he saw a person, a man just appear in his vision, his light purple orbs got wide for a moment shock surfing through them, before he narrowed them slightly. Continuing to move himself he ignored the man for a moment finally satisfed in his new position, his eyes went back to the man.

He stared at the mans brown hair very untidy, his muscular figure humph! and his face intriguing him most....that thing by his eye...was it blood or a tattoo? Enzo blinked, the question he wanted to ask was who do you think you are? or a simpe what? but instead, when he found his voice he spoke out in a semi neutral, but with a hint of curiosity,

"Is that a tattoo?" Eyes blinked as he simply stared waiting for an answer.

Gideon decided to speak, his voice rather young sounding but nevertheless intimidating. "Yes..." Gideon stared at the boy, his boredom going away slowly. Gideon gave a small smirk and took a breath. "My name is Gideon, can I know your name?" He asked calmly.

Enzo blinked at the answer trying to keep his expression as leveled as the man who sounded not very old, not that he looked like some old man or anything. As he got a name Gideon, an interesting name....Enzo got more interested, so he sat up peering up at the man, his curiousity showing on his face lightly,

"That is cool, most are to chicken to get a face tattoo." Enzo snorted to show he thought that was a stupid excuse. Giving a short nod Enzo looked back at Gideon, "I don't see why not, its only a name...Enzo."

Gideon thought about the name. "Enzo... A fine name for someone like him I guess." Gideon thought to himself as he held out his hand. "Nice to meet you Enzo..." Gideon waited for Enzo to shake his hand. It was very uncommon for him to become so friendly with someone he just met. He wondered how long he would be able to keep his dark secret without anyone finding out.

A large boom came from the sign as is blew up and sent sharp little pieces off at the group. The huge and colourful sign was no more and they were all surrounded in darkness. The shards embed themselves into the group's skin, causing them to bleed.

The sign was gone. There was no light for anyone to see anything. It was completely darkness...

With the light gone, the whispers in Lena's head grew louder so that everyone could hear them. There were many voices, all telling a different story. Some happy, some sad, some eye opening. The whispers rung through out the nothingness, piercing everyone's ears. It just sounded like a clutter of words stuck together!

Then,

Silence.

Gideon's wounds healed naturally, the fire coming from his cuts creating some light but only for a quick second. He relaxed and just became bored again. Gideon walked over and stood beside Lena, waiting to see if anything will happen. The silence getting to him a bit after all the confusing voices stopped.

It had been quiet. Too quiet.

Lena instinctively reached out for someone to hold her, fear striked her heart as she waited anxiously for the next thing to happen. Her skin was stinging from the shards of metal and glass that were shot out when the sign exploded. Grabbing the arm of someone behind her, Lena hid her face into his chest, only peeking out a little bit to see what would happen.

A group of voices boomed, echoing through the abyss. No one could tell where it was coming from, the sound waves bounced everywhere.

"Welcome to Iskelan," the voices stated grandly. The words were so in sync that they sounded like one person, but more at the same time. The darkness slowly started to fade into a blurry scenery. If you focused hard enough, you could see the faint outline of the mountains and skies.

"You were brought here because you heart wanted a second chance in life," the voices boomed. Soon you could see that you were floating above a beautiful clear lake. "Here's your chance." The scenery became more clearer every second that went by.

Lena admired the gorgeous scenery, almost forgetting all about the commanding voices. "It's beautiful..." Lena whispered in admiration. Still holding onto the man's arm, the voices pulled the girl back out from her peaceful trance.

"Prove to us that you deserve to go back into your world." With those words, the voices disappeared. Without their power to levitate the group of people, everyone fell into the lake below them.

Only to find that they were in the shallow end.

Gideon held onto Lena protectively, enjoying the contact they were having. "Are you alright little one?" Gideon asked Lena. Gideon had a habit of calling everyone "little one" due to his height compared to theirs. Gideon knew he had nothing to prove, there was another reason why he was here. He had a haunting feeling as to what it was, despite his suspicion he just accepted it.

Gideon held tighter onto Lena as the thought ran itself through his head again and again. Only Lena was able to see the slight fear in his eyes as he looked down, trying to avoid eye contact with any of the others. He was too lost in thought to realize he was looking at Lena in a way where she could see his eyes perfectly.

Nodding her head, Lena's fear turned into worry as she stared back into the taller male's eyes. She had to strain her neck to look up into Gideon's troubled red eyes. Knowing that this wouldn't be the best time to ask, Lena just pulled the man she had just met into a comforting hug.

Letting out a little squeak when she felt water on her feet, Lena looked down at the lake, watching in horror as her designer heels got wrecked by the lake. Frowning, Lena laid her head on Gideon's chest thinking, "Those were my favourite pair..." Lena quickly removed her black shoes and held them in her small dainty hands.

"Yeah, ask her if she's okay. Not like I need any help." Ace stood up in the shallow water they had fell into, and tore off part of his shirt, wrapping it around the gash on his arm to help stop the wound from bleeding any more than it already had. Not that it mattered, anyways, with them being dead and all. "So we're dead. Knew it was comin' sooner or later." He looked around at the people that were in this "Limbo" as well, noticing there were quite a few. Ace looked to the silver chained dog tags around his neck, now able to see them clearly, read out: "Fremont, Ace L., A Neg, 351-45-0943, USMC, M, Christian? What the hell does that mean?!" He sat down, frustrated at his memory (or lack thereof).

He hugged the girl back, Gideon seemed extremely aggressive and mean. But for some reason he was just different around Lena. He kept thinking about what he had to do, who he had to choose. He didn't want to pick favorites since he was taught that it was just wrong to do so. Gideon picked up Lena and held her so nothing else of hers will get ruined. "I'll protect you little one..." Gideon said reassuringly, warming up to Lena. He gave her a little smile that only she could see, he winked to let her know that he wasn't all that bad despite how he looked.

Enzo reached up and gripped the man's hand first using it to stand than giving it a frim shake just as he seen his father do, "And you, Gideon." he said before releasing his hand, okkay he was good with greetings but after that....people seened to not like speaking with him. Enzo overall interested in Gideon he turned to ask him another question about what his tattoo was exactly, but the sign exploded stepping back, Enzo shielded his face knowing in fencing you always protected your face. He felt shards of glass prick and cut his skin, he only roughly gritted his teeth.

As the voices started, arms slowly went down from his face. Enzo looked towards Gideon before everything went silent. and black again, no light. Than voices spoke giving Enzo the answers he had been ponder since he got here.

So he was dead, he drown, he could remember now. He had a second chance to get back home....by living in a place with an odd name and these people...

Peachy. As he watched the new world come into focus, he could not deny it looked amazing, at least it was up to his standards and not some danky hole of a farm. Enzo looked up at Gideon, than around him.

"Well, shall we?" he said to no one specia just asking who would take the first srides. if not he would go first....maybe.

Gideon looked at Ace and said with aggression "When I give two SHITS about you I'll let you know alright? Until then, step off or I will EAT YOUR LIMBS!" Gideon shouted the last part, the temperature rising and making everyone sweat a little, the water steaming and boiling around his feet.

Enzo felt wettness on his shoes, slowly looking down he lost the breath he was taking. his heart hammered like mad against his chest bone, his face went very white. Holding back a scream, he let out a choked squeak and darted off for the shore, reaching solid ground he fell upon it on his back just laying there and regulating his breathing.

Gideon looked at Enzo and raised an eyebrow "Are you alright?" Gideon called out to him. He wondered why Enzo was freaking out, after all it was just water. "Maybe he likes his shoes as much as Lena...?" Gideon chuckled to himself at the thought of it.

"Hey, I'm dead. Do what you want to me," Ace looked up at the tall man shouting, before looking back down and staring into the water, "'cause I don't think killin' a dead man would be very fun." He sat there, he hopelessly, finally coming to the conclusion that he was dead as a doorknob, and there was nothing he could do about. Slowly pushing himself up, he yelled to Gideon with all the confidence he could muster, "If you're gonna do it! Kill me! Kill me now! Kill me right here, in front of your little girlfriend! I'm not afraid to die!"

(Hey, shoes are important! lol)

---

Lena wrapped her arms around Gideon's neck as she looked at the blue haired man in surprise. "Are you alright?" She called out to him, concern filling her dull blue eyes.

Flinching at the man with the dog tags tone of voice, Lena frowned and tried to calm the two men down. "Let's just stay calm guys." Lena tried to reason with them, getting out of Gideon's arms. "We're not going to get anywhere if we just try to kill each other." Lena glanced at the blue haired man on the shore, reminding herself to go check if he's alright after calming the two dominant men down.

Gideon gently set down Lena, he then stepped towards Ace and flames erupted around Gideon. He growled and the flames turned blue, his eyes becoming blue fire as well. "I... already have... a girlfriend..." Gideon said as he slowly walked towards Ace. It was obvious Gideon had the intention to kill Ace when he gripped Ace's throat and lifted him up. "If you wish for death, then next time ask nicely..." Gideon raised his other hand, making a fist and getting ready to turn Ace into a pile of ash.

Lena began to panic as both the man and Gideon got angry. Glancing down at the shoes in her hands, Lena decided that they were already wrecked and filled the soles with water.

"Calm down!" Lena threw the cold water at both of the men, feeling somewhat annoyed at their attitudes. "Really," Lena sighed, shaking her head. A little disappointed that Gideon already had a girlfriend, the young woman had felt a little attracted to the man.
