A Chance For a Second Chance

Gideon shouted in fury and slammed Ace down so hard he nearly broke Ace's back. Gideon glared at Ace "You owe that girl your life you little insect!" Gideon kicked Ace hard and stormed away. His flames dying down but still staying around him. He cared about nothing but getting away from Ace and the others before he hurts any of them too badly. Ace being the exception considering he did hurt him already.

Fai wiped her mouth with a white handkerchief, removing any excess blood and skin that was stuck on her feminine lips.

Looking down at the soft white bed that was stained red with blood, Fai sighed in irritation. "I'm going to have to clean that up, aren't I?" Fai reached down for the bloody blanket and burnt it to a crisp. "Now...what am I going to do with the bones?" Fai pondered to herself and decided, "I'll just do what I normally do." Touching the man's bones with her long and pedicured fingers, Fai set fire to them, burning it down to little molecules.

With a devilish smirk on her face, Fai turned around to check the mirror about her appearance. Frowning slightly at the hickeys left by the man, Fai easily shape shifted her skin into that of a beautiful young woman's and slipped on his red kimono before exiting out the room and leaving the house of the dead man.

"Oh, what a glorious day!" Fai exclaimed, brushing her hand through the long silky hair of her female transformation. Spotting a beautiful woman across the street, Fai ducked down into a dark alley and easily shape shifted into his male version.

Strutting over to the woman, Fai gave her a charming smirk and began to flirt with her. "Has anyone ever told you that you have beautiful eyes?" Fai's smirk grew when he added, "Too bad I'm going to eat them." in his head.

((And here's my second character! Haha! I love this dragon, he's so fun to write about))

"Agh--!" Ace screamed as a sudden force threw him to the ground. With a sharp pain in his side, and probably some fractured bones, he forced himself up, limping feebly to shore. Upon reaching land, he laid on the ground, hoping this would all be over. Whatever 'Gods' had sent them here obviously didn't like him. "You... bastard. I don't.. owe anything, to anyone." He held tightly onto his dog tags as he slowly faded from consciousness.

Lena watched in horror as the man fell unconscious. Rushing to his aid, Lena struggled to pick him up and drag the man to shore.

After a few minutes of labour (no, not that kind guys :P ) Lena fell to the ground, exhausted from carrying the larger man. The man fell on top of her, and a few dog tags fell from his hand.

Squirming out from under the man, Lena picked the dog tags up with curiosity. "FREMONT, ACE L. A NEG, 351-45-0943, USMC M, CHRISTIAN?" Lena read it out loud, and thought, "So, his name is Ace..?" Placing the dog tags back into Ace's hands, Lena walked over to the blue haired man and crouched down.

"Are you alright?" she asked softly, Lena's dull blue eyes brimmed with concern.

Darrian approached the lake and just before coming into view of it he heard a faint splash.

'That sounds like it could've come from the lake,' he told himself. He was walking up a hill and as soon as he got to the top of it, the lake would be in sight.

He reached the top of the hill, still thinking about the people in Limbo. Once he looked over at the lake, he had to shake his head once or two to make sure he wasn't just imagining people in the lake. Once he decided he wasn't making things up, he walked over to a spot on the hill that was a little lower. Because it was lower, the water that fell from the sky would run through here on it's way to the lake. Since it rained recently, it was wet here while it was dry in other places.

Darrian pulled up his right sleeve and put his feet out in front of him. He put his bare arm on the ground and began to slide down the hill. About three fourths of the way down, it suddenly became dry. Going at about 15-20 miles per hour, and the ground being dry which would cause him to stop suddenly, he knew this wasn't going to be good. He only had a short amount of time to think about how not-good it would be before he was sent into a spiral about a yard above the ground.

As he began to reach the line of trees, he barely caught his footing. Although he was on his feet, he was still moving pretty fast. He began to look like he was running at superhuman speeds, but really he was just trying to keep his legs from being dragged under him. He slowed to about 10 miles per hour, which he could handle, before nailing a tree. He twisted about 180 degrees and hit the ground, stopping for a second to try to catch his breath before standing up.

He walked, well, more like stumbled, to the edge of the tree line. Here, he leaned against a tree and closed his eyes for a brief second, trying to focus on breathing. Once his breathing became regulated, he opened his eyes just in time to see one of the people slamming another into the water and kicking him. He wanted to say something like 'You've already died once, what is dying again going to do for you?' but he decided a full-on confrontation that he caused wouldn't be a good thing with some of these people.

Gideon stopped walking after a few yards. He decided to roll around in the cold water to calm himself down, the flames around him dying out then appearing again once they were out of the water. After a couple minutes he was on his knees, panting and freezing. He shivered and breathed heavily, trying to calm down. Gideon turned away from everyone and cried from the thought of him losing his girlfriend. He knew she would run to her co-worker once she found out about his death. Gideon's shivering and the water let him cry silently without anyone knowing about it. He continued to think about how he was probably going to be alone forever.

(Oh, god. That just killed me! QAQ I really want to know more about Gideon now!)

Fai stroked the hair of the woman in bed softly. "Hm," Fai thought to himself as his own pool of long black hair was mixed in with the woman's. "I won't eat her. She seems nice."

Getting out of the bed, Fai placed the blanket on the woman, careful not to wake her up. Leaving the house, Fai's eyebrows furrowed together. "What was her name again?" Fai pondered as he strolled out of the town and down by a nearby lake.

Ace looked up to the girl, Lena, half awake. His back still pained him, thought not quite as much as before. Stuttering, and a bit stunned from what happened, he managed to muster out a few words, "Yeah.. I'm fine." He tried standing, only to fall on his face once again. "Ugh. He got me good..." Ace slowly slipped the dog tags around his neck once more, before holding his hand out to Lena. "I'm Ace, by the way. This isn't the best way to meet someone, but hey..." he said in a pained voice, but trying to sound strong as to not worry the girl. "Can't let her know how hurt I am, gotta keep moving," he thought to himself as stared into Lena's eyes.

((To know Gideon, you must appeal to him > :) You have to put forth the effort to become his friend!))

Gideon stopped after a bit and just came to terms with what has happening. "No one could love a violent, volatile, primal jerk like me..." Gideon sighed. He stood up and wiped the water off his face and fixed his hair the best he could. His clothes dried up fast from the heat he gave off.
Gideon looked at Ace and Lena, the thought of Ace even touching Lena infuriated Gideon. "If only she knew..." Gideon thought to himself. He continued to watch those two to see what would happen. He got over his girlfriend knowing that he could not only do better, but that she never really liked being with him. "Killing the boy to keep the girl doesn't seem all that bad..." Gideon mumbled to himself. He was losing his mind slowly from how angry he was at everything and everyone at the moment.

(I'll love you Gideon! QAQ I'll love you and cuddle you and stuff you with comfort food!)

Lena's mouth turned into a little frown at Ace's answer. "I'm Lena," She gave a bright smile to Ace and then pushed his fatigued body over so that she could examine his back.

"Good thing I took a few courses a few years ago.." Lena thought to herself as she began to feel Ace's back for any injuries, he had quite a large bruise from being pushed down by Gideon.

As Lena examined Ace's back, she sighed, "I don't have anything to help you right now.." Lena frowned and scanned the horizon for any civilization. "I wonder if there's a town around here..." Lena pondered out loud. There was a lake, there was bound to be some sort of civilization around here.

Gideon walked over to Ace and Lena. He kneeled down and put some of his tears on Ace and Ace healed within seconds. Gideon looked at Lena and petted her. He stood up and walked away, going to see if he could find some place to go to. "I wonder..." Gideon thought to himself, ignoring the pain in his heart as he looked around more.

Lena ruffled Ace's hair and got up to go stand by Gideon. Looking up at the taller man, Lena bluntly asked, "What's with the flames?" Lena combed through her long thick blonde hair with her fingers as she waited for an answer. "I mean, that's pretty dangerous, setting yourself on fire."

Lena recalled a time when she was younger, her parents brought her to a very well known circus. Her young mind watched, intrigued, as one of the performers set themselves on fire. After watching it, Lena's younger self had once attempted to do the same act, only for the match to be taken from her little fingers.

Lena giggled as she remembered how stupidly cute she was as a child.

Ace simply grunted as the man who previously almost killed him, healed his wounds with what seemed to be his tears. Sitting up, he buried his face into his arms before stating the obvious. "We need to get out of here, before anything worse happens." Ace sat in the silence, enjoying the peace as much as a man with nothing to live for could. Looking back the tall stranger, he held out his hand to him as well. "Your name?"

Fai strolled down to the lake, whistling a happy tune. He had changed back into his female form and was wearing her usual red kimono with a fancy hair ornament holding up her silk raven locks.

Fai's cheerful whistling stopped when a large bear stood in front of her, obviously very hungry. Fai raised an eyebrow at the bear and let out a loud dragon roar from her feminine mouth. The bear looked shocked for a second, but ran away whimpering from the shape shifting dragon.

Fai chuckled at the bear's antics and continued down the path to the lake, hoping that no one was around to hear her terrifying roar.

Darrian heard the roar, though it was faint and his sensitive ears almost didn't pick it up. Upon everything that's going on in front of him, it didn't surprise him to much. He sat down at the trunk of the tree, leaning his back against it. He still had the headache from the bear attack but he was lucky he wasn't mortally wounded from it, the antlers were what caught him off guard.

He chuckled at the one that had the dog tags, Ace, that was his name, as he held a hand out towards the one that nearly killed him. 'Are they friends, or not?' Darrian couldn't help but wonder, as one seemed to hate the other while the other wanted to be civil.

Gideon looked at Lena "I am a phoenix, fire is just natural for me" He held out his hand and it erupted in blue flames then they disappear just as fast. "It is nothing that special" Gideon sighs.

He looks at Ace for a bit then looks away, ignoring him and his hand. He had nothing to say to Ace after what was said and done. Gideon continued to give his attention to Lena. "You have lovely hair, and a beautiful laugh..." Gideon said to Lena with a smirk, it was only obvious to Lena that he was flirting.

Lena's face flushed red as she began to stutter, her eyes looking down at her bare feet. "..Um...Okay..." Lena wasn't used to be flirted with in such a way. Growing up in a rich and pompous family, there was no such thing as "flirting". It was always so serious when a man tried to court her. Basically, Lena was a complete newbie when it came to flirting.

"I mean, uh," Lena began to panic, not knowing what to say. "You too..?" Lena mumbled, unsure if that's what you would say back.

Trying to change the subject, Lena began moving her toes, trying to distract herself from Gideon's compliment. "Well, I think it's pretty special." Lena gestured to his hand with a small smile, still a little flustered from the phoenix's previous words.

Gideon smirked and whispered "Do you find me attractive Lena?". Gideon smiled and looked into her eyes, waiting for a response. He loved how nervous she was and was particularly attracted to her because of her small size. He ignored their situation for a good moment just to see if he could get someone to like him, preferably Lena.

Xavier could barely feel it when th glass embedded in his skin. His body was still numb, which he was grateful for. However, he was not grateful for the voices in his head. 'Second chance? What does that mean? Are we going to come back to life or simply be given a new body?' There were to many questions. Although this information was helpful, he despised the laughter the voice brought with it. It made him angry for some reason. He didn't have enough time to dwell on the situation, as he del into the lake below.

Xavier somehow managed to land in his feet, but was till soaked in water. He tried to keep his hair in front of his right eye. The dark blue hair was long enough and the water wasn't helping. He ha considered cutting it, he might look look like a girl with its length. He peered at the shards in his skin and began pulling them out. He could still feel a slight sting, but his body's numbness was really benefiting him. He pulled out a particularly large piece and pocketed it into his coat. He didn't know why he took, it was just in the spur of the moment. The bleeding remained, but he didn't really care about that.

He looked around at the others and made no moves, remaining calm. He kept his blank expression, even when the male was slammed to the ground. It wasn't his business to get involved in. He wouldn't be able to help much anyway. The older man appeared to prefer women over men greatly. He raised an eyebrow at the word Phoenix. 'Isn't that just a legend. Besides, this man looks nothing like a bird of fire.' He couldn't depute the man's claims, given his display. 'Just where are we?'

((Urghhh I literally wanna murder my alert box >.< ))

Xiana stood there watching everybody with her arms crossed feeling annoyed. Men are idiots. Finally she couldn't take it anymore. "Ok guys I'm pretty sure we're not here to fight each other or flirt with girls" she rolled her eyes and sat down on a rock as she squeezed the water from her hair. Ugh more water... "I'm Xiana by the way. You guys are?"

Gideon snapped his fingers and flames erupted in Xiana's face, scaring her badly. "Judge me again... I dare you" Gideon warned. He rolled his eyes and said "My name is Gideon". He put his attention back onto Lena, still waiting for her response.

Lena stared wide eyed at Gideon, her mouth hanging wide open. "Pardon me?" Lena was completely shocked at the man's actions. She was so in bewildered with what Gideon had said, Lena didn't hear what the new girl had said.

After processing what Gideon had asked her, Lena turned her head away, trying to hide her obvious blush. Covering her face with her hands, Lena answered shyly, "Maybe." The woman had to admit, Gideon was very good looking. After saying that, Lena hid a little smile, peeking out between her fingers.

Gideon moved her hands and sneaked a quick kiss on the lips. He chuckled and walked a ways away from her to leave her in shock of what he did. He started choosing which direction he would head, in order to find a way to some kind of civilization. "Hm..." Gideon thought to himself about many things while he decided where to head.

(( :o I hope they're not permanent!))

"Ah!" She held her hurt face. This was enough to push Xiana over the edge. "You mother f*cker! Your lucky I'm already dead!" She picked up the biggest rock she could carry and flung it straight at his head with all her strength. "I don't care what kinda freak you are! Don't you dare touch me!" her eyes boiled with rage.

Gideon caught the rock and crushed it with ease. Blue flames surrounded him and he grinned evilly. He turned and stared at Xiana with his eyes being made of blue fire. "Oh really?" Gideon said with a hint of insanity. Gideon picked up a bigger rock, it caught fire and he got ready to throw it, "READY?!" He called out, ready to kill her with it without hesitation.
