Realistic or Modern A Camp for Musicians

After a few moments of contemplating, Kyungsoo decides to rejoin society. He stands up and looks out the windows to check for anyone, and then around the cabin, finally down at his clothes. "Father really knows how to dress a little goody-two-shoes." He groans at the awful outfit picked out for him.

He stands and walks over to his clothes, eyeing everything he has. At this point anything is better than this dumb outfit. He looks around at the windows again and then strips down to his underwear, and rumages around his clothes. "What should i wear today? Ugh, I am terrible at just choosing one..." He randomly grabs the first things that come to contact with his hand. Nice outfit, not too flashy. He starts to get dressed, still worrying about the windows. Just thank god he hasn't seen anyone yet. Finally he is done getting dressed and he walks out of his cabin. "Hello?" He says to anyone who might be nearby. He shrugs and walks off.

The silence in the car was punctuated only by random comments made by her mother from the passenger seat. Ri had turned on the radio an hour into the trip in hopes that it would quell the awkwardness, but it didn't help any. If she could keep her car with her during the duration of the camp, she would've just come alone. When she finally guided the car to a stop at the entrance to the campgrounds, Ri let out a long sigh of relief. She immediately opened the door to get out, but her mother stopped her with a hand on her shoulder.

"Please make some friends," her mother urged in that voice she reserved for guilt trips.

Ri released another sigh, this time one of impatience. She gave her mother a small nod and stepped out of the car. It felt so good to stretch her legs! The four-hour drive here did a number on her. She's not used to driving long distances herself. That's what chauffeurs are for. Ri opened up the door to the backseat and pulled out her two huge roller suitcases. They were both an understated black. The last thing she wants to do is to draw attention to herself. If there was a place for her to just be Ri instead of Ri Rowan, international supermodel, this would be the place. No annoying papparazzi, no microphones involuntarily shoved in her face. This is the place for her to grow into Ri Ruth, singer/songwriter.

She rejected her mother's help with her suitcases and closed the car door after both suitcases are safely on the grassy ground. On her way towards the entryway, she stopped. She turned to give her mother a small wave goodbye. It just didn't feel right to just walk away regardless of how strained their relationship can be. As she made her way towards Cabin 8, Ri chuckled under her breath at the irony. 8 is a lucky number in Chinese culture, and she found it ironic that she remembered the superstition now of all times as she's walking away from the woman who raised her on such superstitions.

It seems she's late to the party. There are other campers out and about already, mingling, laughing. There are even a couple of girls riding horses. She would've pulled her hat lower down her face, but both of her hands were occupied. She blew a strand of hair out of her face, kept her eyes down behind her aviators, and thanked goodness that she didn't wear stilettos to walk on these muddy, grassy grounds.

He walks around the camp, most likely just in big circles. This is a good way to just calm down and think about stuff. And the air is nice too. It's very quiet. Birds chirping softly, slight breeze, trees everywhere, the smell of wood. It feels like a dream. And a girl? Kyungsoo suddenly stops before running into a woman with her suitcases dragging behind her. So much for being in a daze. Could've killed someone (or just slightly injure them).

He looks up at the woman. Pretty. But very obviously not his type. Just pretty. "Sorry." He says and walks in a different direction. He said it correctly right? 'so-ree'... He thought to himself about the correct pronunciation. He literally said it a few minutes ago to someone else but his accent is too horrible. At least to him. It's not perfect english. "so...sorry... ry.. sorry..." he whispers to himself over and over again.

Leandra began laughing at Eve's reaction and said after she regained her composure, "You know, I'm great at reading someone else's emotions and can tell when they're lying." Smirking, Leandra then added, "And I know that you have a thing for Greyson."

Seeing more campers making appearances now, Leandra veered off the topic of Greyson when she said to Eve, "Looks like more people are showing up now." Seeing a boy with a girl holding a parasol nearby, Leandra pointed at him and then asked Eve, "Is that Greyson?"

Leandra then pulled back on her horse's reins and said a quiet woah to bring it to a halt before they possibly got the horses nervous by being surrounded by a bunch of new people.

Evelisse felt herself blush a bit more, finally relaxing now that they were off the subject. She looked around, seeing she was right about the people. This was going to be an interesting summer. When Leandra spoke again, Eve followed her gaze and nodded slightly, unable to help the small smile that formed. "Yeah...that's him," she said softly. Eve quickly did the same with her horse, slowing it to a halt though her eyes never moved until she realized she was staring.

Austin watched her set up the keyboard, fascinated at how organized she made it look with seemingly no effort. After he had asked his question, his eyes drifted to her that was pulling on the sleeve of her shirt. Bring an extrovert led to Austin learning the signs of many personality types, and he smiled slightly as he really that Ally suffered from chronic shyness. He smiled when she admitted she wrote and waved off her self-degrading comment. "I'm sure you aren't god awful if your parents paid all that money to send you here. Besides, we're all here to improve."

Austin had just made himself comfortable on her bed when she spoke again. It sounded as if she were politely asking him to leave but he ignored the voice that told him to exit. "Can I hear some of your stuff?"

Topaz suddenly felt a presence next to her, causing her to look up. Beside her was a boy with tan skin, making a comment on the sun. She continued to walk, trying to figure out exactly what to say with out sound weird. "Oh. Well. I like the sun. He's nice. He help's flowers grow and makes the earht warm enough for us to live on." She explained, talking about the sun as though it was a person. "I just don't think he likes me very much. Even with shade and sunscreen on he'll find a way to burn me." She sighed gently, blowing out air and causing her lips to smack together. She then stop, turning so she was facing the male. "Also, it's a parasol." She gave a small smile, tilting her head. After a few seconds of silence she opened her mouth to speak again. "I'm Topaz. You can call me Paz if it's easier." She shrugged gently, tossing her waist length gray hair behind her shoulder.

@RyanJXavier ((Sorry for length. I swear they'll get longer))

Greyson listened intently to Topaz as she expressed her feelings about Mr. Sun. He stopped in his tracks once she halted and turned to face him. A small smile made its way to his face once he saw her smile after correcting him. After a few moments of staying silent, Greyson finally said, "Apologies, parasol". "Greyson. You can call me Grey" The teen followed up after Topaz's introduction.

Greyson got a bit side tracked at the sight of the horses from a short distance away from them. His gaze shifted upward to find the red haired girl and Evelisse sitting and looking at them. "Hey Paz have you met those two yet?" The teen asked before looking back at Topaz.

(I apologize for the length too (and this whole post) I'm really busy at the moment)

Rowan continued riding through the camp her headphones still playing her music. She had her guitar case and stopped in the middle of the camp and sighed watching all of the other camp members sit or stand in groups talking to their friends or making new ones. This was her time to make new friends and she knew how to. She hopped off her board and put her guitar case on top of it before putting the strap over her shoulder and held her guitar close. She took her guitar pic out of her pocket and took a deep breath before clearing her throat and began playing a soft song on her guitar. She continued for a few minutes before starting to sing, yeah she still had her headphones and decided to play the song that was actually flowing through her ears. She really loved this song and the person who sang it, and that's what she wanted to share with others. She wanted to make friends that shared some of the interest that she did and maybe learn something new. People started to stop and watch her sing in the middle of the camp ground and were actually amazed by how good she was. Of course others might have been way better than her but that isn't necessary at this moment right now was her time to show people what she got.

Evelisse mentally cursed herself when Greyson looked over. She offered a small smile before allowing her thoughts to wonder. "There's no reason we shouldn't introduce ourselves," she stated aloud, though it was mainly directed towards herself. Carefully dismounting the black horse, she silently pet her neck affectionately. "Good girl," she whispered softly as she looked up at the creature. She walked her over to a nearby wooden post and loosely tied the reins to it so she wouldn't go running off. Quietly praising her once more, Evelisse returned to her natural hyper nature and skipped over to where Greyson and the girl were standing. "Hey, I'm Evelisse but everyone calls me Eve! What's your name? Do you have a nickname? How old are you? What's your favorite color? Do you know how to ride a horse? Maybe we should go riding sometime! Hi!" She ranted excitedly, deciding to give her full effect firsthand. If they couldn't handle her at her worst then they didn't deserve to handle her at her best. "Don't worry I'm not always like that," she added with a wide smile as she glanced over at the girl then up at Greyson then back at the girl, her smile never fading.

Ri blew another strand of her dark hair out of her face and wiggled her nose in an attempt to keep her sliding sunglasses on her face. The air was mild and cooling, but the weight of her heavy suitcases in both hands was starting to become quite an arduous task. It didn't help any that the rollers kept snagging at places amongst the grass and pebbles.

Ok, Cabin 8 is just up ahead. If only these damn bags would coopera--Someone bumped into her, cutting off her train of thought. The impact knocked her RayBans to the ground, and she lost her grip on her bags in shock. They fell with a thump to the ground. She looked up to see a boy with blue hair, also with a shocked expression on his face. He immediately sputtered a heavily-accented apology and walked away.

Did she walk into him, or did he walk into her? She was still in a daze from the long drive up here that she might not have been completely in the moment. She shook it off. Ri readjusted the black sun hat on her head, picked up her glasses and contemplated a bit before putting it over her hat instead of back on her face. She bent down to grab the handles of her bags and resumed her slow trek (
Damn, these bags are heavy) to Cabin 8.

"Good shit," Cam exclaimed, closing his notebook with a smile on his face. Taking a look around him, he finally noticed that other people were around. He had gotten so invested in his writing that he heard almost nothing aside from his own thoughts. Typically, he considered this to be perk -- blocking out external noise to focus -- and he supposed he still did.. He simply needed to socialize here and therefore should have been interacting more with others before sitting down to write. Most of the others seemed to have already met; hopefully a good sign. He had initially figured that everyone would get along well but, knowing the kids he was forced to go to school with, there was no real way to know without figuring it out for yourself.

Packing up his things, he stood from the table, heading in the direction of the cabins. As much as he wanted to talk to someone, he didn't know where to start. If someone was with other people, they were clearly occupied. Those who were alone, kind of appeared to want to stay that way. Was that how he had appeared? Probably.. Cameron made his way back into his cabin, quickly putting his bag away. Coming back out, his eyes scanned passing faces casually.

Spotting a girl who honestly looked a bit out of place, Cam focused his attention there. As soon as he saw the bags she was carrying, he made his way over to her. "Hey..." He started calmly, "Would you like some help with those?" Cam extended his hands as a gesture that he was more than willing to help. Bored out of his own mind anyways, helping out a pretty girl couldn't hurt anything. The worst she could do was turn down his offer, right? It never hurts to try, as his mother would say.

@Cyanide

Kyungsoo stops in his tracks to nowhere. Apparently he made his way back to his cabin, so point A is officially also point B. Back to where he started. The walk wasn't too bad though, besides getting bit by some bugs and bumping into someone. Who was it? He can't remember, his mind is blank.

He sits down in front of his cabin, scanning the area with his eyes. He doesn't really recognize anyone except for that one guy. He must have passed by them a few times while he walked. He grabs a long stick that was resting next to his foot and pokes an end to the ground. Then he starts drawing with it in the dirt. A head, hair, eyes, mouth, and.... nope, looks terrible. He brushes it all off and begins drawing again. Long body, scales, four legs. No, it's not a lizard. He finishes drawing his tiny dragon.

"Would you like some help with those?" Someone asked, and Ri turned her head in the direction of the voice. She had just slowed to a stop to shake out her numbing hands when she heard him. She stopped what she was doing and sized up the approaching boy. Not bad. He was probably about the same age as her, which is much younger than what she's used to. Wait. What am I thinking? The boy just offered help, and I'm here thinking about other things. She mentally kicked herself. The stranger stopped in front of her and extended his arms.

She opened her mouth to enthusiastically accept his offer before it suddenly hit her that she probably looked helpless, lugging along bags that turned out to be heavier than she expected. Was that how she wanted her first impression to be? Some damsel in distress? No. She got this. Sure, the bags are heavy, but she's just a few (long) paces away from her assigned cabin.

She plastered a smile on her face and curled her fingers back around the handles of her bag. "You're very kind," she said and resumed her slow trudge. "But I got this," she added over her shoulder.

That probably came out bitchier than she intended, but hey, Bitch is better than Helpless Little Girl.

Topaz gave a short head nod, tightening her drip on the parasol. "Hello Grey. Nice to meet you." she tilted her head. Before she could say anything else however Grey turned his attention elsewhere. She followed his gaze upwards, also noticing the horses in the distance. She was slightly shocked but soon reminded herself that she was at camp so this should be a normal sight. Paz shook her head, playing with the hem of her skirt. "Oh no. You're the only person i know. Should i know them?" She asked, returning her focus and furrowing her eyebrows.

Right then she noticed the two girl making there way over to them. Topaz slightly raised her hand to wave but was soon bombarded the girl speaking a million miles an hour. Paz took a step back, her eyes widdening as the girl invaded Topaz's personally face. She really couldn't follow the fast paced words and at the end of it all she was completely confused. Paz placed a hand on her forehead, pressing on it trying to make understanding of everything.

"U-Uh... Can you repeat that please? M-maybe.. Uh a little bit slower?" She pouted her lips slightly, raising her shoulder to show her guilty. "Sorry for not catching all that." She whispered the last part, looking down at her feet.

@RyanJXavier @Lexie @Lioness075

Evelisse smiled softly and let out a soft giggle. "Good you're normal. I wouldn't expect anyone to understand that considering I barely understood it myself. I'm Evelisse but everyone calls me Eve," she said with a wide grin as she looked at the girl. "What's your name?" She asked as she instinctively ran a hand through her hair to push it out of her face even though the breeze just pushed it back the way it was.

@Halcyon @RyanJXavier @Lioness075

Leandra followed after Eve, hitching her horse as well, before continuing to follow Eve. She could only giggle and roll her eyes at Eve's bombardment of speaking and questions though. Gently placing a hand on Eve's shoulder, Leandra then stepped forward and said with a warm smile to the girl she didn't know, "Sorry about that. Eve has a way of getting overly excited and speaking like that." Hearing Eve's question for the girl, Leandra quickly added, "I'm Leandra, by the way." Smiling warmly at the new girl, Leandra then shifted her attention to Greyson, curious since she'd never met him herself. He was rather cute so it was easy to see why Eve already had a crush on him. After all, she did quite literally run into him. Grinning at the memory, Leandra then returned her attention to the new girl, awaiting her response.

@Halcyon @RyanJXavier @Lexie

"Well . . . " Greyson began to reply to Topaz, but was unintentionally cut off by Evelisse's sudden rapid fire. Greyson watched as Evelisse and Topaz conversed with one another. The both of them made an interesting duo. They seemed to be polar opposites, but Grey's analysis could be incorrect. His gaze then shifted over to Leandra and he smiled a bit at her first remark. "Ello" The teen said before giving a slight wave with his right arm. "I'm Greyson" He continued as his left hand made its way to his right shoulder.

The teen looked down for a bit after feeling his right shoulder sting. Greyson moved his left hand back down and into his pocket in order to stop himself from unintentionally rubbing his shoulder. I'm just gonna save waves for tomorrow. He thought to himself before looking back at the rest of them.

Ally was busy organizing things as Austin sat on her bed. She heard his first comment and gave a slight shrug, "or maybe they're just trying to be supportive because they know how much I like it." she responded as she continued unpacking. Allison had her back to him when she heard the dreaded question. She turned and shrugged, "I- I would..it's just nothing's really finished yet." she said softly. She hugged a stack of shirts to her chest and glanced down, "I can't seem to complete a song." she said slightly embarrassed as she turned away again and began to put the clothes in drawers.

She was desperate to get the subject off of her. "So um, what are you here for?" she asked as she closed the drawer. "Well, obviously music...but do you sing or play an instrument or both?" she asked curiously, changing the subject to him. Talking about him would probably be more interesting anyway, Ally wasn't that interesting of a person. She was fairly predictable and doesn't like to stray outside of her comfort zone that often.

@HighFlyer

Evelisse mentally prayed that Leandra wasn't one of those people to run her mouth. Wait...why should I care? It's not true... Shaking off the thoughts, she glanced over, noticing him grab his should. She remembered the incident from earlier and frowned at herself. "Sorry about that..." She said quietly as she motioned to his shoulder. "I didn't mean to," she added simply, feeling a bit guilty for it.

Greyson gave a slightly confused look, "Sorry?" His gaze followed Evelisse's and arrived at his right shoulder. "This? It's not your fault. I kind of just hit my shoulder on the ground the other day. No big deal" He replied to Evelisse after looking back at her. After a few moments of silence Greyson said, "I met the guy that was looking at us earlier. He's a cool dude".

This was Greyson's way of diverting the discussion to something/someone other than his shoulder. The pain actually subsided, but certain arm movements similar to the wave could trigger a small episode of it again.

@Lexie @Lioness075 @Halcyon

Topaz was still unsure of herself. The girl didn't repeat all of what she said and due to her autism is was bugging her. She took a small sigh and shrugged slightly. "I'm Topaz. You can call me Paz. Nice to meet you Eve, Leandra." She mumbled, now surrounded by tons of people. She was hoping that no one would point out any of her weird habits and such. As the group started speaking about over things she started picking at her nails. Her eyes flickered backed and forth as each person spoke. She was actually confused by what they meant with the shoulder. She then reached out, tugging on Grey's shirt.

"Where is the kid?" She whispered, looking up at him like a child. She was confused over the fact that if he was a cool kid, why wasn't he with the kid now? That what friends did right? Hang with each other?

@Lexie @RyanJXavier @Lioness075

Greyson looked at Topaz after she tugged on his shirt. "Kyungsoo's in his cabin" He replied as he looked over his shoulder to spot out the cabin. " . . . I think. I'm not sure if he left though" His eyes focused back onto Topaz after he turned back toward the group. "Why? Do you want to meet him?" The teen asked raising one of his eye brows up a bit.

"He's interested in different types of styles. I'm sure he'd enjoy looking at your parasol even if it's from a distance away" Greyson mentioned recalling the whole clothes discussion he had with Kyungsoo a few moments ago.

@Halcyon @Lexie @Lioness075

Kyungsoo looks up when he hears his name. He shakes his head , thinking it's just him. "I'm hearing his voice now? He must not be far from here, but I doubt he'd say my name. Why would he?" He began to pick at his fingers one by one. Rubbing a fingernail against a fingertip.

He stands up to take a closter look after a minute of worrying. Who said his name? Why? He sighs and fixes his hair up a bit to not look so dull. But why wouldn't he be dull when everyone here seems too energetic for his taste. He may be wrong, though. His head shifts the other way and he spots a group of people talking. A red head, some girl, a parasol, and... "Ah!" He exclaims as if he were surprised and points in Grey's general direction. "You!" Is this going to cause trouble or is this just going to be seen as normal? Whatever. "Did you call my name?"

@RyanJXavier @Halcyon @Lexie @Lioness075

Leandra was quiet for a minute or two, listening to everyone speaking with one another and grinning when Eve seemed a bit embarrassed to talk with Greyson and even apologize for running into him earlier. Seeing Paz tugging on Greyson's shirt, Leandra raised an eyebrow, as it was a very odd thing for someone at their age range to be doing. Deciding that perhaps Paz just hasn't had a lot of social interaction growing up, since Leandra isn't one to badly judge anyone before getting to know them, she then noticed Greyson's injured shoulder and how he was trying to avoid discussing it. Since Leandra had grown up, she'd always wanted to be a combat medic...in the Army. In fact, even though she hadn't told anyone yet, she'd already been through Basic Combat Training (BCT) and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) to become a combat medic.

With this in mind, Leandra took a step towards Greyson and then warmly smiled at him before saying, "You know, if you let me look at your shoulder, I could probably have it feeling better in no time. I actually have some medical experience and such." Leandra then realized that after saying such a thing, someone would probably want to know what experience she has. Dang it. She didn't want anyone to know she was a combat medic or in the Army, as she feared this would make everyone view her differently and maybe even avoid her.

Hearing someone new speaking up nearby, Leandra kept her focus on Greyson, as she waited for his answer. She could even have Eve tag along, mostly for amusement though, as Leandra had no doubt Eve would get embarrassed the moment Greyson took off his shirt.
