The world of Remnant has fallen on uncertain times once again. Prolific figures have been mysteriously disappearing from every corner of the world. Celebrities, world leaders, and anyone else that could have possibly found their names in the newspaper seem to be the target of a recent string of kidnappings, or worse. Of all the people that have gone missing, not a single sign was left of where they might be.
In these trying times, Hunters and Huntresses are being called upon to safeguard people of importance. Even students from academies like Beacon are taking assignments, although with much less perceived danger than those taken on by fully fledged Hunters and Huntresses. Still, the stakes climb higher and higher as more and more big names hit the newpapers front pages as missing people.
New students are arriving to school soon. Despite the demand for more Hunters/Huntresses, Beacon seems to have upheld it's standards rather than taking in flocks of new students to fill a growing need. Some praise the decision while others criticize it. In any case, Ozpin seems to be treating everything as business as usual.
