Yes, I've seen that and as I replied, while aesthetics are nice, they become pointless if the site doesn't load. I'm fully aware that you have a good system and a good connection, so I offer you the Staff's heartfelt apologies that we have ruined the site experience for you. No doubt, in time, we will be able to rejig the site's resources to better suit your needs. Until then, we endeavor to provide as good a site to as many users as we can.

I'm really bad with that. Really bad. I am sorry for taking you seriously.

I viewed the website on mobile and I definitely agree it looks great and is a lot more snappy than the previous version. The menu lags only a little, but honestly the layout makes up for it. I feel like I can view and read threads better, and the color scheme doesn't bother me as much on mobile either. Even though it doesn't translate as well to desktop, it's still nice, and you guys did a good job with it.

Honestly, I liked the look of the old one soo much better. It was more calming to my eyes. This one is just, extremely dark and rigid if you know what I mean.

I just woke up, I'm on my phone, holy shit this is such a sexy update. I remember when 4 came out, So many people said that we kiddified the site!

Anyways, for all your logo concerns - the old site logo is sitting pretty in a vector file on my computer. Dwiz requested something sleeker this time around, that took less vertical space on the screen. Rest assured, if you happen to ever see any products with the RPN brand, the full crest will be there.

Mobile version still makes me incredibly hype, but I'm noticing now that maybe everything is a little bit too big? Especially the main font - could do with maybe being shortened ever so slightly so that we don't have to do so much scrolling?

I'll look into it :) .

As far as functionality goes, the new theme does wonders. Much faster loads, which is always appreciated for someone with subpar wifi like myself. Though I can definitely agree it can come across as bare-bones and the site in general does sort of look less...casual, pleasing to the eye it remains. Even more so than the previous one, I dare say. However, this one is not without a few gripes. Namely, the logo. With all due respect, the plainness of the new logo doesn't sit well with me. It doesn't look intriguing or inviting at all, no offense. I can also spot that the user profile pictures have been shrunk. Could I expect that to change? I want people to marvel at my awesome profile picture D:

But overall, the dev team has obviously done their best for the site and in that alone, you all have my deepest respects. Fantastic job and best of luck in future improvements.

I had trouble logging in using the link in the top right hand corner. I had to go to the quick navigation thing and log in through that. Is there anyway you can fix it?

Is it possible you could make a thread in Admin Contact regarding your situation? I just tried to replicate your problem myself and had no issues.

None taken! I chose to remove the extra detail so that the logo would appear crisp and clean at a new, smaller size. It lost a little character along the way, but I've got finals coming up, so it'll have to stay like this for a few days.

[QUOTE="The Dark Wizard]No just a play of words.
As usual we have no intentions of rpn merchandise for now :3

I'll continue to dream of coffee mugs.

I've been writing up a post in the new layout. Pardon my lack of proper jargon, so bear with me. I noticed the button to quickly scroll through posts (found at the bottom left hand side next to the scroll bar) rests within the quick post section at the bottom of a thread. I've mistakenly clicked it when attempting to highlight words. It's not a big deal, and I'm not sure there's a better place to put it! But I figured I'd throw that out there.

Well, I will throw in my two cents. I just woke up, I am on my phone, and I can say it certainly loads a lot faster and I can still get to everything that I would want to get to. I personally like the darker blue color.

To me, it seems like the functionality increased but the layout did the exact opposite. I remember joining the site, and thinking to myself `Wow, this looks like an approachable site!` (Not literally, but you get it). Now it seems like any other forum, just boxes, stripes and uninviting colours. I think it's a shame, but it does load a lot faster.

I'm not sure what I think of it. I reloaded my page and there it was.... updated and... interesting. I'm not completely used to it, but I'm sure I'll like it soon.

Also, my name is shortened at the top. It's not that long of a name. It says Lone... I loved the old version of RpN. (Also, If you ever take away ANY of my smilies... I will kill you. (:<)(Not that I'm saying that you will...))

Holy shit I'm loving this new version of RPN. It's loading super quick on my phone, and I'm enjoying the super slick design.

Great job @The Dark Wizard this is an awesome update :D

I think we should be able to choose what version of the site we use on each device we use it on. I would definitely choose this version for mobile, but for my computer, I want the old version.

I quite like the contrast- for me, it's very aesthetically pleasing, though it'll take a bit of adjusting to. This just happens to be my absolutely favorite color, and blue is also a psychologically calming color so I think it's easier on the eyes, and unconsciously the mind whilst writing. It keeps the interface cool, with a crisp white undertone to liven it up.

The tabs are really pretty, too. I can only imagine how difficult it'd be to juggle designs for the sake of user preference, so I'd agree this should be stuck to, one way or another.

I'm iffy on the red for notifications overlapping the blue, but it's not a complaint, just thinking out loud. Definitely has a stellar air to it- Great job<3 c;
