And since they sue for amounts that would bankrupt most people, they rarely loose or win, simply getting settlements that can also be used as ammo, or as statistics to encourage more draconian enforcement laws.
And even then, Square-Enix and Disney might sue, claiming that they are key-blades. Would it be frivolous? Yes. But that hasn't stopped Disney in the past.
Well first of all, under some interpretations you can be manipulative without being deceitful. If you make a logical argument based on your knowledge of the other person's knowledge, mores, intimacies, this can be manipulation without hiding your intent, or the fact that you are being...
The difference between weapons you can use with some charms, weapons you can use as "unarmed", and weapons that can be used with "touch" (i.e. none) is something I may be a bit fuzzier on than I thought. I will re-read the rules relating to these, and post again after I have had a good night's...
Okay, a couple quick things.
I am having a hard time reading your charms and getting through them.
First of all, despite having a separate area for flavor, you have a large amount of flavor description in the stat area, such as in the second charm. The first two sentences in the stat area...
There are rules in Oadonol's Codex for different effects for different colored Jade weapons.
These, however, are for artifacts that are individually crafted by experts from exceptionally fine jade of that color, rather than mass-produced artifacts like most members of the realm use. These...
My group has already caused Team Rocket to blast off twice. One time via grapple+throw on the same tick as dispelling James's cloud spell, and the other time via hammering them enough that they blew up their own meowth robot (I mean, war-strider) as their escape plan.
It was fun. :P
Well, depending on the format, there might be the option of working out an actual physical puzzle you set in front of them, with clues given based on how high a roll they get. This was a popular trick for a while, but it has fallen heavily out of favor with some gamers.
You might also try...
We are keeping those paragraphs.
Even under the old system you couldn't use tiger claws with Compassion or Crane style, so you still can't use the tiger claws with charms of those styles under this new rule. And having different weapons be a part of different supernatural styles makes...
In my current PBP game, the DM, and the other players and I also keep in touch by IM, and there is the ability to edit posts. So we typically either IM the DM with our stunt attempt, or declare an attempt to stunt, then fill in the actual dice rolling after we're told how many dice (if any) we...
Well there are several styles out there with very powerful charms that can be combed together already, but no, I don't know how those work together out of hand. That's why this rule would be an experiment.
After bringing concerns to him listed here, my DM said he'd rather not use this rule...
Hmmm. Good point about the long ticks.
There are some social attack like charms (like New Friend Aroma) that are not social attacks, and can possibly be used in non-combat time. It also seemed to me like there were some charms to let you do social attacks in combat time, though I can't name...
http://keychain.patternspider.net/archive/koc0269.html TADA!
Third Row, first panel.
Also, I had no knowledge of that site or thread on that board before this thread on this board, and I thought that thread on that board was rather neat.
I take the timing in the comic to imply that either the Dragonblooded had a higher initiative, or that they tied, and thus their actions went off at the same time.
Rather hard to charm a gal out of shouting that you're a Lunar if she's already doing it.
Wordman:
It was actually not my intent to consider the melee charm trees "martial arts styles" any more than the bow-tree or the thrown tree are. I am not sure what my DM's intent in this area is. I will bring your concerns to him.
It -was- however, my intent that people be able to put...
Well the goons can already protect their boss with defend other.
Let me give another situation.
Throgar the Lunar has set himself between a rampaging abyssal and a group of three cowering children. The abyssal furiously presses his assault. But to the horror of Throgar he targets not...
