Malak Uban has been a messenger all his life.
Born in the city of Riqueza, a protectorate of the Varang Confederacy, he came into the world with every advantage a parent could hope for her child. His family practically owned the city, both his parents’ castes helping carve them a place...
Really, it was more an analogy regarding oWoD/nWoD, not Exalted.  The analogy was simply made to draw a comparison, that the two are wholly separate and one shouldn't be regarded as "invalidating" the other in any real way, because they can be taken separately (even if you take both), even...
As far as "invalidating" past supplements, the only invalidation that's occurring is the previous system. Â The switch to 2ed is nothing more than a switch from one system of rules to another. Â The setting, as far as has been stated, isn't changing in any real way, but may be expanded upon with...
I live in Marietta, GA, but I can get around to Woodstock, Roswell, etc. Â I'd rather play than ST at the moment, though, 'cause I'm kind of burned out on Storytelling after a two-year Exalted series my group and I just ended.
The corebook comes out in February. Â Other books, such as the revised Dragon-Blooded book, a book on the Scavenger Lands, and a book on the Realm separate from the DB book are slated for later on next year.
I know someone's gonna kill me for this, but The Lord of the Rings is a good example. Â I screamed out "Exalted!" every time I saw Legolas pull off some insane stunt or Aragorn do just about anything. Â And Gandalf makes an excellent Sidereal with some Celestial Circle Sorcery, if I do say so...
Once, I ST'ed a story that involved the PCs (all Solars) working to help a village that was having trouble with representatives of the Scarlet Empire demanding unfair tribute. Â The guardian "gods" of the village (actually a small tribe of Lunar Exalted, all of whom shared the same Totem -...
I'm afraid to post on-topic at this point, considering the huge nose-dive into other subjects this thread took. Â But here goes.
Unless the game is a Dragon-Blooded game (Blessed Isle), Abyssals game (Underworld), or Sidereals game (Yu-Shan), most of the games I run take place in the East...
As long as they only make the necessary revisions to the book (i.e. updated Solar Charms, a few rules tweaks, updated info on Creation & other Exalted), I'll be happy. Â If they go overboard and make a bunch of books invalid, then I'll be screaming like the bitch that I am.
It'd be one thing...
