"I don't think you're acting like a child." He inched a little closer. "Fear is nothing to make fun of. I understand."

Jason's cheeks flushed, withwhich didn't happen too often. A smile met his face. "Thanks" He touched her hand as she pinched his cheek.

Jason allowed her to lean against him. He gently held her hand. He had grown tired as well.

Jason had fallen asleep as well. He woke up to Alexandria's movement the next morning. He smiled at her. "Good morning." He was still half asleep.

"Good morning." Alexandria smiled, also half asleep. She looked around, mumbling and remembering the following day. She smiled and sat up

A thought had actually come to him. He had been thinking about it for a while. "You know, it may seem a bit sad, but do you ever wake up hoping this were all just a dream?"

Jason smiled at this. "Glad I'm not alone." He held Alexandria's hand gently. "What if it was all just a dream?"

"There are army bases where people have been staying and they are shipping them off to a safe country." Alexandria said, having had her friends tell her that this day would come and there would be places like this where you could stay

Jason smiled at the information. "In time, we will. Is there a base somewhere near here?"

"That's awesome to hear." Jason smiled at Alexandria. Hopefully they could eventually travel to the safe place that was untouched by all of this chaos. He would be looking forward to that day. "One day we'll go there."

"And we'll be safe." Alexandria smiled at the thought, forgetting the storm until a crack of lightning and loud thunder came from no where making her jump and bury her face into his shirt

He held her closer as she buried her face into his shirt. He still thought she looked cute like this. "You okay?" he whispered.

"No." Alexandria buried her face in the crook of his neck and relaxed. She traced small circles on his chest, humming a song she had heard over the radio

Jason couldn't help but recognize the song she was humming. He couldn't remember much about it, though. "What song is that?"
