Wounds don't need to heal as long as we do (Flower & Prima Fauna)

Neal tried to speak before Heito hung up "Heito-" The line went dead very fast. "Oh- Okay that's okay to." Neal Neal put down the phone an looked blankly at the wall going over the conversation over and over. It was the 'wet dream' coment, it was meant as a joke but Heito had freaked out, it was because he was gay... If he wasn't gay it would have been funny. Or it wasn't. Neal wasn't good at humor. He texted Heito because he was an obsessive school boy at heart

We decided on burgers right?

Heito was half way to the office when he got a text. He stopped and walked off to the side of the sidewalk and read what it had to say. He quickly text back, 'Yes, unless you had something else in mind.' and put his phone away and began to walk back. He got to the office and his assistant was walking out and quickly waved at him with car keys in hand.

"You are going home, Lyla? Tell the husband and kids I said hi. Did you get the gifts for your son?" Heito speed walked to her location and stopped for a minute to talk with her.

"Mhm. Mikey has a play and Agnes is going try... again... for the football team. I keep telling her it isn't very lady like, but you got to let a kid dream, right? And yes. I did. I can't wait to see what you got them. So, thank you. Is there anything you need?" Lyla turned her head to the side and her keys jingled a bit as she adjusted them in her fingers.

"No. You've done a fantastic job. I never have to ask. Tell Agnes to aim low." He smiles and walks back to the office and up to his office, taking the stairs this time to clear his head. He hoped this evening wouldn't be awkward because of the phone call. The way up to the building, Heito beat himself up over the call and groaned as he finally reached his office and walked the hall to get there.
(Does the role play need any adjustments? Do there need to be any adjustments to my style or how I role play? If so, just let me know.)

(It is alright! I just get paranoid that people don't like the way I role play! ^_^ I know there are some epic role players out there who would turn a blind eye when they saw someone with skills of mine because it wasn't "up to par" ^_^ ')

(Hun you are wonderful and don't need to change)

Neal hummed at the text.

Friend of mine owns a burger restaurant, best in the city. ;)

Neal dialed an old friends number, asking for a reservation, he always took first dates there -not that this was a date because it wasn't it's just he never got past the first one it was one of the only restaurants he knew-, he took dates there because he could leave if he needed to through the kitchen. If the date was going bad Willy let him, which was one of the best things because he almost never had a good date. Neal decided on a shower, another one, to pass the time. He pulled the shower chair from when he used to need to sit to shower. He sat in the shower under the water, letting the water seep into every place and clean it dry and completely.

Heito reached his office and sat down in his wheely chair with an exasperated sigh and shook his head as it hung. The phone buzzed on the desk and he hesitantly picked it up to read the text and couldn't help but grin. Although the phone call was awkward, Neal didn't seem to mind. He text back.

'Alright. I will pick you up. Just text the directions to the restaurant to me.' Heito tossed the phone down on the desk after sending the text then slowly lowered his head to his desk to close his eyes. His arms rested in his lap and he just thought. Heito figured he was thinking too much into it and needed to stop worrying. Tonight would be a good night and it would go as smooth as it could possibly go. He would make sure of it. Until then, Heito reached for his phone, setting an alarm on it and double checking that it was set correctly. He sighed, stood, and walked over to a lounge couch he had in his office and rested until the meet. There was absolutely no reason he should be at the office anyways. He didn't have any work that needed done. He just felt more comfortable here, than he did at the house.

Neal left the shower after a good forty-five minutes, thanking the gods that his apartment rent covered utilities. He checked the time, it was almost time for him to meet Heito he checked his phone and smiled.

It's on the bay, we could walk?

He texted back and started to get ready, he put on straight jeans, he would prefer skinny Jeans, but they were too tight and hard to move in. He slipped into a clingy grey shirt and put an UN-buttoned vest on over it. He topped it off with a fedora. He was debating the fedora, wondering if it was too much?

The phone went off from a text message and Heito took a deep breath in before rising and walking to the desk to read what had been sent. A walk wouldn't be too bad. In fact, it may clear his head. Heito put in a response and pressed send.

'Sure. I will meet you in front of the shop.' Heito smiled a little and went into the restroom to freshen up. Despite the incident earlier, he still looked nice. He spritzed on some cologne, grabbed his wallet, then headed down the hall to the elevator. Once he gets downstairs, Heito sighed and walked out of the office and took his time walking to the shop. After a while of simple meditation, his mind was clear again. Once he reached the shop, Heito stood out in front of the store and smiled a bit as he looked at the sky and leaned against the siding as he waited for Neal to come downstairs.

Neal came up beside Heito.

"Hey! sorry if you had to wait... I take a little longer to get ready.." He smiled and gestured ahead, "I can lead the way, I made us a reservation, I like to be by the window. . ." Neal smiled sheepishly and began to head out towards the restaurant. He was pretty sure that Heito would let him set the pace, and be quiet about it. He didn't like it when people where noisy about that sort of thing. It just wasn't needed. He looked over to Heito and wondered when he would ask. Its not like he wanted to have that conversation, he just knew that Heito was curious. "You know- I had a dream about you to..."

"No worries, Neal. There isn't any need for rush. Whatever pleases you." Heito smirked and nodded as he began following beside with his hands in his pockets. It was turning out to be a nice night with sparsely scatter clouds with a light, but warm, wind. Heito looked over to Neal with a risen eyebrow and blinked.

"Did you?" Heito swallowed quietly and looked straight ahead, not even sure what to say to that. It was awkward enough for him, but Neal seemed quite alright. Was he toying with him? Making a fool of him? No, that wasn't Neal, was it? Heito just kept walking and occasionally looking over at Neal or down at his feet as they made way to the restaurant.

Neal laughed. "I did, though to quote a great man: It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live, but then again Alas, Earwax! " Neal quirked a smile at Heito, "But the point is that dreams are not a truth, and you shouldn't let them in the way of things, though they can provide and outside sort of look at your life... I mean I dream about gnomes a lot?" Neal smiled again, "What kind of dream was it? I mean I made a really inappropriate joke earlier, and I'm sorry, if you felt like you needed to tell me about it then go ahead."

Heito chuckled at Neal and his comment and shook his head softly with a sigh before looking up at the sky. Neal was doing his best to comfort Heito, and he knew that and could appreciate it. He just took in a deep breath and exhaled slowly through his mouth.

"No. It is alright. I apologize for that call. I hadn't slept well during the night and I suppose it was sleep exhaustion that was making me unnerved." He looks to Neal with a small smile. "...but, thank you for trying to make me feel better about it. Work gets to me sometimes and I handle it the only way I know how." He looks down at his feet as he walked and was curious about how the night would end.

"Don't be sorry- hey," Neal stopped they were outside the restaurant now, he caught Heito's elbow with his forefinger and thumb, "It's not a bad thing, what was it you were trying to say? Your dream, the one about me?" Neal chewed his lip and looked up at Heito over his glasses, "Was it- the kind of Dream I said?" Neal looked up at him slowly.

Heito stopped and looked at Neal for a moment before picking out his words as he sighed and nodded.

"If you want to know, it was a rated R dream. I can't explain why it was such an enjoyable dream for me." He looks up at the sky and put his hand to the back of his head as his scratched his scalp before chuckling and shaking his head. "...but it is probably normal and happens to most men once in their life, right?" Heito got nerves to look from the sky and back to Neal and hoped he wasn't laughed at or accused to making fun of him.

Neal laughed. "Biased opinion, I have no idea, what I do know is that I am someone who thinks that sexuality is something we define for others. I told you I was gay, I have always been attracted to men. Never glanced twice at a women. If I saw a women, and I thought; Holy crap I love her, I wouldn't be surprised. That hasn't happened yet though." Neal looked up at Heito, "so shall we go in? Best Burgers in town I know the owner." Neal maneuvered through the door and was met by George, a large Italian man with a mustache jowls and a belly laugh.

"NEAL-E-O" He cried. opening his arms to the two men. He gestured grandly to a table with a... candle... Neal pretended he didn't notice, the restaurant was small and artsy, brick wall and chrome art pieces, low lights and paintings.

Heito smirked as Neal talked and nodded a moment before they went inside. It was nice and cozy. They were met by a jolly man, who knew Neal by first name basis? Heito looked at Neal and couldn't help but laugh a bit and looked at the table with a smile. He walks with Neal to their table and holds a seat out for him, standing off to the side. He had might as well do what felt natural and just hoped Neal didn't get too uncomfortable, or offended.

"Don't worry George is just a bit over dramatic sometimes. He's a good friend." Neal smiled and picked up the menu, though he knew what he wanted already. Neal had friends all over the city, it happened when you were a firefighter, you met people. The fire house was at the center of a community, even a big one like NYC. Everyone knew someone who had been in a fire, and were grateful. Plus they all knew about... and those who knew someone who died either hated Neal or loved him, believing their loved ones lived through him. Neal shook his head and pulled the menu up to hide his face.

Heito took his seat across from Neal and quickly looked down to see what there was. He settled on a charbroiled burger on sourdough with sweet onions, lettuce, and hot sauce. Heito set the menu down then crossed his arms arms on the table, leaning in, and looked out the window.

"I'm not worried any. He seems like an amazing restaurant owner." Heito shined a smile towards Neal before looking out the window again for a moment then looking at the candle with a smirk. It seemed like Neal came here with people often, his friend making things special when he made the reservation. It made Heito chuckle a bit when he thought of it and looked up at Neal.

Neal raised an eyebrow at the laughing. "What's so funny?" he asked with a grin scanning the menu needlessly, he knew what he wanted. A burger with lettuce cheese, ranch and bacon. He leaned his elbows on the table. "So is there a topic you want or do I have to spin the topic wheel?" He smirked. The 'topic wheel' was an old joke from his childhood, and later the fire house. It was for when you didn't have a topic or things got too... heavy or odd, then you could shout 'spin the topic wheel!' and someone would just say a new topic. . . Neal kept his single eyebrow raised at Heito, joking with him.

"No reason. Something just crossed my mind is all. Why don't we uhm... Spin that topic wheel. See where it takes us." Heito looked down at the candle holder and traced the base of it lightly with his finger tips while watching the fire dance atop the candle wick. He remembered candle lit dinners, red wine on the rooftop, and romantic ballroom dancing to the bedroom. However, it seemed he realized too late that it was all one sided and he wasn't thinking about her nor her about him. Surprisingly it didn't bother him much anymore when the thought crossed paths. Why was that?

Neal hummed and shrugged, "Let's see..." Neal imitated the chk-a-chk-a-chk-a of the wheel of fortune before saying "Tigers." Ot loud and wiggling his eyebrows as he waited for a reaction form Heito. He has a full on grin on his face, he realized how much he liked talking to Heito being with Heito, and all of it. He felt like a person again for the first time in a long time. Heito was really nice. Just a really good guy..

Heito couldn't help but laugh a bit when Neal began the turning of the wheel. He loved how childish and carefree he was. Heito looks up out of the corner of his eyes with think think eyes and thought for a moment, "Tigers.... Well, the Sumatran Tiger is my favourite of them all. They are endangered, but they are the smallest of all the tiger species." Heito smirks at Neal as his his come back from their pondering positions and looked into his eyes. The longer he looked, the more relaxed he became and the happier he had felt in a long while.

"You've got real nice eyes, Neal." Heito chuckles after saying it and scratches at the back of his head.

"Oh? yeah they are blue.. people like that." he laughed.... "tigers are nice, I used to think it would be nice to have a pet one. But now I think I'm more of a dog guy..." Neal tried his best to to blush at Heito's comment about his eyes, he pushed his glasses up his nose and scratched the patch of skin that got dry sometimes, meaning it got dry once but that was sometimes. It at least covered up part of his eye..
