Wounds don't need to heal as long as we do (Flower & Prima Fauna)

The night passed slowly for Heito. He would fall asleep and wake up a few hours later. At one point he had to get up and put something on for noise and then eventually moved to the couch so it didn't seem so empty and big. Heito rolled over on his side, watching the fireplace crackle and smoke in the yellows, reds, and oranges that seemed to meld together like silk. It was an instant sleep aid for him and he drifted off into sleep with his phone at his side in case someone tried calling. Internally, he hoped Neal would call, but didn't place any bets on it. Instead, he just dreamed and Neal appeared several times in his dreams and Heito would wake up just enough to get out of it so it didn't go any further than they did.

Neal woke the next morning far to early for anyone to be up. Yet he didn't think he would sleep anyways so he slipped from bed and headed over to the shower. A long hot shower was the best way to follow a night like that. Though with the way things were going lately, he felt that he may also benefit from a cold one before he went out with Heito, just in case. He called Martha from his bathroom exactly a minute after the shop should open, just to make sure she had opened it, he trusted her, but it was his shop.

He reluctantly exercised, therefore preventing further cramps and spasms and plopped himself on the couch. He could go down to the shop even though he had let Martha have the whole day to herself... or he could... Do something that wasn't work. What did he even do that wasn't work?

Heito's alarm went off at 07:45 and the coffee pot beeped as it started brewing. He hopped out of bed and walked into the bathroom, turned on his infrared light, and stepped into the shower for a quick wash. He was never in a shower for more than 3 minutes unless the stress of the day got to him, by then he usually would stand in hot water for as long as he could stand. After the shower, Heito put a towel around his waist and walked to the sinks to brush his teeth and that is when his day began.

He had to choose the right outfit for the day, most always a suit, and went for white long sleeved shirt, sleeves rolled up to his elbows, and a black fitted vest with shiny silver buttons, and plush red tie. He had a matching pair a suit pants and black shoes that were shined the previous day. He felt good about the outfit and left the bedroom for coffee and to grab his car keys. He knew his assistant would not be awake, so he just left with coffee and keys in hand and went to the garage to pick up his car.

On the way through the garage, Heito had almost forgotten when vehicle he until he pressed the unlock button and saw it light up a few cars away. He smirked and made his way to the drivers side door and got in to start the car. After backing out, and driving onto the street, Heito made his way to the office and listened to show tunes the entire way, singing to the top of his lungs.

Neal objected to sitting around the house all day so he threw on clothes -determined he would come back before meeting Heito to change- and headed out of the house, not really sure where he was going except out. He could stop by the Fire house, or just do some shopping... He hated shopping and got his groceries delivered, He could stop by Heito's office but he didn't want to freak him out so it might be wiser to head to the Fire house and see what everyone was up to.

Heito got to the office and his secretary was already there. She smiled and waved then handed him his papers for the day.

"Lyla, you are in. While you are here, I have some papers for you too-" She interrupts and smiles at him.

"I've tidied your office. I found the papers. He has been informed and we are already scouting." Lyla nods and crosses her arms on her desk. "Can I get anything else for you?" Lyla was the quickest and best secretary anyone could ask for. She was a cute little red haired woman, short and stocky, but pleasant and kind.

"No. There isn't anything else, but I wonder why it is you are here. It is the weekend. Go. Be with family." Heito smiles and heads into his office to sit and finish up any straggling paperwork and check his bank account. He could do this at home, but it was quicker doing it here, and he could also relax and busy himself for the upcoming night. Heito leaned his head back in his chair and closed his eyes as he thought.

Neal intended to go to the fire house. He instead found himself in front of Heito's Building. And he wasn't a bit surprised. He hesitated, he didn't want to just walk in and plus he hadn't know Heito that long. He shook his head and headed away from the building and went to a coffee shop down the street and took a seat. He didn't want to think about what this all meant, how it was going. He felt like someone and taken his crutches, spun him in a circle, blindfolded him and sent him down a hill and he couldn't stop. It was terrifying.

The Dreams from the night ran through his head once again But He Didnt Stop It. He AnAlyzed TheM Lest The Evening Became Awkward. He Figured It Was Just Because He Hadnt Had A Real Friend In A Long While And It Was Over Excitment. That Had To Be It, Didnt It? The Dreams Themselves Sure Werent Leading Anywhere PG-13.
(Sorry For The Caps. My Phone Is Being Ridiculous)

( I feel ya, don't worry)

Neal was completely caught up in what it all meant. Honestly he had consumed too much coffee and was having an existential crisis. Last time he had been in a relationship it had ended in flames. Pretty literally. Like it couldn't end worse. This was bad Heito was straight -god he should have taken that cold shower- Neal gulped his coffee and against all judgement order a second- it was medium-

Heito Sighs And Shakes His Head, Packed Up His Suitcase, then Went Down To The Sidewalk To Get Some Fresh Air. The Thoughts sTarted Bringing Him To A Sweat And Made Him Wonder. Why Did He Feel This Way? Heito Sat On A Bench Outside His Office And Laid His Head In His Hands. What Good Could Come Of This?

Neal was shaking with Caffeine and anxiety and possibly adrenaline and sex drive. maybe he should cancel, he couldn't face Heito until he could be one hundred percent straight with him Neal believed in total and complete honesty. Nothing more nothing less. And he couldn't be honest with Heito if he wasn't with himself. He gathered his crutches and headed out, back towards his apartment.

Heito Sighed As A Gentle Breeze Flowed Past The Bench And Against His Skin. It Was Relaxing, But Then Reminded Him Of The Rain From The Cab. Heito Ran His Fingers Through His Hair And Sighed Again. Why Did Those Dreams Get Him In A Mess? Maybe It Would Be Best To Talk To Neal. Heito Stood AndBegan Walking To The Shop To See If Neal Was There. He Needed To Get This Figured Out.
(I have a laptop again. :D So, I can post regularly and now all screwy. ^_^ -dances-)

Neal headed down the street, he had to pass Heito's office block to get home. Though it wasn't Lunch time and Heito didn't seem like the type to take frequent breaks. He looked up from where he was concentrating on his feet, when he saw the other man on a bench making to stand. Neal's eyes bugged out of his head. It's not that he didn't want to see Heito, it was just that he wasn't sure what he would say. Maybe if he kept his head down and wallked by confidently he wouldn't notice.

Heito was too into his own mind to take notice of anyone else around him. He grabbed his suitcase and walked down the sidewalk to the bookstore as if on autopilot. He wasn't really paying attention to where he was going and the look on his was a serious and a little confused. He bumped into some people, quickly turning to apologize, but otherwise kept his glance straight ahead. He'd arrived at the bookstore and stood outside the door for a moment thinking of what he might say, if anything. He glanced down at his shoes, eyes closed for a minute, then entered and looked around.

Neal passed Heito without being noticed, Though Heito did brush him on his way. He didn't appear to be heading in to the office, but to the book store. He bit his lip but continued to his home. Martha would call him if someone was looking for him directly. He stood in front of a full length mirror and examined himself, thinking with a slow and careful thin toothed comb.

~

Martha looked up from where she sat at the man who had entered. "Hello, and welcome to Pot-luck books. How may I assist?"

Heito looked at the woman and bowed his head slightly and as he looked back up at her and sighed.

"I am looking for Neal, if you don't mind?" Heito gripped onto his briefcase and his knuckles almost turned white. Why were his nerves acting so odd? He just wanted to get this over with and see what this was all about. See if Neal could offer some light on this situation or perhaps he would just laugh or think he was mocking him. Heito wasn't thinking this would go over too well and just kept over thinking things.

Martha turned to the man. "He's not in at the moment, He took today off could I take a message? if your a friend, he normally answers his phone on days off so he would be reachable there. Though you understand that I can't give his number to you..." Martha looked the man over. He was good looking enough but she was always cautious with guys and Neal.

"Well, thank you, ma'am. I understand perfectly. Have a nice day." Heito smiles and bows his head before turning on his heel and walking back out. Once outside on the sidewalk, he pulls out his phone and goes through his contacts until he finds Neal's number and presses the call button. He walks a bit off to the side of the building corner and waits as it dials.

Neal found his way on autopilot to his couch and let the phone ring, or more the phone rang for a bit before he noticed it. He answered with out looking at the caller id. If he had he would probably not have answered.

"Hello Neal speaking." He sounded like he had when he was young and answered the phone at his childhood home. He pulled his legs on to the couch and leaned back.

"Hello, Neal? It is Heito. Are you uhm..." Heito clears his throat and coughs away from the phone before continuing. "...busy? Er... Still up for tonight?" He sounded so awkward and nervous and he felt his heart wanted to jump out of his chest for a moment. Heito closed his eyes and attempted to calm himself before talking again, if he talked again or could bring up the courage to. What was wrong with him? He was just wanting to talk about the dreams and feelings he was having, but maybe it was too soon and awkward. He shouldn't have called.

Neal smiled to himself, this was the first time he had heard Heito stumble like that before. "Is there a reason I shouldn't be?" Be bit his lip as if to hold back a smile if he was in Heito's presence, and trying to not make him feel uncomfortable. "Are you? I mean if today is no good... then another time? Or not at all, I mean I'm sure you have other things... " He thought about saying that he was a very eligible bachelor and he couldn't waste his time, but that was a bit too flirty for him and Heito. But he wanted to.

"Ahh... No. I mean, I don't think so." Heito blinked for a moment and shook his head quickly.

"No, no, no... Today is perfect. Actually, I called because I need to talk to you about something, but.... if you are too busy now, then it can wait." He honestly didn't know if he had the courage to talk about something like this to someone else in fear that they would just find him awkward or a nuisance. However, Heito was a businessman who had to take risks no matter how difficult the decision was at the time. That being said, why was this so hard for him to get through the day with? Heito sighed and ran his hand over his face for a moment then through his hair.

"I'm at home sitting on my couch wondering why you are trying to avoid something you brought up, you have my full attention Heito..." Neal always reacted as if the person he was talking to was right in front of him. Raising his eyebrows. He actually hated phones no faces... Faceless voices.... freaky....

"Right, well.... Uhm...." Heito walked down the sidewalk a bit till he found a bench to sit on. He sighed and continued after a long breath.

"Have you ever had a dream about someone that stayed with you all day? You couldn't shake it and then it just.... bothered you? You keep asking what it meant and why you were having those dreams?" Heito just put it out there the best he could without sounding too awkward and creepy, though the more he thought about it, it sounded pretty lame and childish. Oh god, he was ruining it. Heito sighed again and facepalmed. The people walking past glanced over at him and whispered as they walked around the bench at a distance.

"Everyone has had a wet dream Heito." Neal said rather bluntly. He slowly moved one of his knees with his hand, he could feel the joint creek, he worked it out listening to Heito. "I mean, yeah in all seriousness I do, I men Dreams are rather odd... I have dreams about giant Pinatas all the time.... And this frankly screwed up dream I always have about a rabbit a alarm clock and an alto sax. The real question here is why your asking me."

As he listened to Neal talk, he scratched the back of his head and burrowed his eyebrows. It was a bad idea to call him. He should have spent his own time working it out. Heito exhaled softly and closed his eyes.

"No reason, I guess. I'm sorry I interrupted your day off and awkwardly called. I will be by to meet you tonight. Again, I apologize." Heito hangs up quickly and slowly stood up to walk back to the offices and try to get work done at the office. He still had to file a few things before he got ready for tonight, which he wasn't even sure would happen after the call that made a real fool of himself.
