That Thorn In Your Side
Ezra snorted at the display when Don "Escaped from his hold.
"I must be tired... normally nothing can get out of this kind of thing... Guess I'll have to kick things up a bit..." When Don came at him, he side stepped and constructed a barrier of void energies around himself and Rune. The bubble that would contain them now was pitch black, until a moment later, Ezra allowed the walls, floor, and ceiling to glow an unearthly color.
He wondered if the man had noticed the broken arm yet, or if he was still in shock. He turned his full attentions back to Rune however, and expanded the Tetrahedron within his chest again, which would be peircing vital organs at this point. The tetrahedron within Don would be doing the same of course, even if he had slipped through the shadows, which, at that point should have been impossible because Ezra's void energies were consuming everything in their path, light included, which meant no shadows. He shook the thoughts off and refocused on Rune.
Stepping forward Ezra brought his kukiri to bear, tapping the void energies that would be against Rune's chest, He sighed quietly before he pressed the tip of the blade against the man, increasing pressure until he saw blood. Even if he didn't he'd still try for a moment before stopping.
"Suppose our time is going to be short together, as you seem to have allies, Even if they are fools.." Ezra remarked calmly, though a hint of sadness lingered in his speech.
Ezra pulled the knife back and replaced it in it's sheath. Waving his hand at Rune, he dispelled the Void within him and around him, then vanished, reappearing on the opposite end of the barrier, he said, "Though, When I'm gone, You'll all be wishing I had killed you all, Instead, I'm doing a trace right now, I'm going to find everyone else like You, and everyone else like me." There was a dark light in his eyes, "And I'm going to kill everyone else here. Because You ruined my fun. So we need to play more later."
The barrier would suddenly pull away from Rune, vanishing, taking Ezra along with it.
A moment later, Ezra would reappear at the nexus of the town, the primary point, which was only a few feet away from where his first Crater had ended. He was dripping in void energies, the power of the void wrapped around him as he came closer to the point of resonance and then, for a brief second, he could see the resonance point, the place where his life force and the void would be one. But he knew, the manipulation he was doing would be complete. A small orb, no larger then a balled fist appeared in front of him, crackling with energies from the depths of the void. Ezra took the orb in his hand, and then, with what would seem great effort, pressed it into the surface of the town's streets.
He turned towards where he had left Rune, a dark smile on his face, Calling out to him he said, "You can't save them all hero, You probably can't even save yourself. So run little hero! Run away from me! Keep calling me evil for what I am! Call me A Breaker, Because now, Whatever that is, I probably am to you! So Run away little boy! Run Away!" He began to laugh madly as the void energy began to expand around him, consuming everything in it's path in a circular pattern, it devoured everything that was not a natural formation in the town, the buildings, the people, the basements they hid in, everything in it's path was going to be devoured within moments, All save for the Hero's and the Breaker's. Because now, Ezra had a new game to play, something to distract him from the constant screaming, he had Rune. A man on par with him, Someone who would openly defy him, and could counter his attacks with as little effort as he needed.
Ezra's insane laugh would echo out across the town as the void energies tore into everything, devouring the entire town. There was no spell to stop this, no way to counter, or intervene on behalf of the towns folk, there was no power that even a god could summon in time to cease the advances of Ezra's Devouring Void. All that was left, was for everyone to die, and the hero's to know that they had failed.
EDIT:Additional End Point Related To My OOC Post.
With his last attack complete, the void wrapped it's dark embrace around Ezra, gently closing his eyes and lulling him into a regenerative sleep. The Void took Ezra in like a caring mother would it's child, and he vanished from sight and time preserved as he slumbered within the void, awaiting a time when the powers that be would need the slate wiped clean.
((OOC, The above is to be removed if I deem it nessecary. As of this point Ezra is on Hiatus and no longer in the play. You can read my reason for this @Ninja God, Your characters arm should be broken, You never countered that attack. Rune's should be as well. Simply teleporting out with shadows, which would be impossible in a situation while bound by void energies as the void draws in everything from light to darkness, which means there are no shadows, doesn't remove the damage caused by the energies snapping your arm. Rune can still counter it in the past tense, but you already did something where you moved away. You'll want to get that bone set. Argue my point if you must, but I can explain the details of it, and escaping Ezra with a broken arm is a very small price considering he just blew up an entire town for laughs. So far, I'm pretty sure Rune is the only one Ezra see's as an amusing combat partner.))
