Purely out of character here, I would point out that Valaria is in a situation where is is completely surrounded on land with its allies weeks away. Its militarily and diplomatically isolated, surrounded by nations of rival alliances.
The AAI represents Valaria's only chance at having allies in a position to actually make a meaningful impact in the event of any war.
In character of course we are disappointed to see the Valarian government's refusal to join in the liberation of the oppressed peoples of the world.

Sure, but 6 months down the line when you need reinforcements, guess where they have to be shipped from? Or lend-lease supplies? Or resupply for the troops you've deployed?
And of course, if you're sending tons of troops to protect Valaria you're keeping fewer at home to protect the islands.
The Arori-Drandian Civil War was not a clean conflict, like seriously, imagine the Russian Civil War, but with several times the number of competing factions.
Over 150 million people died in the span of 7 years in what used to be one of the most prosperous nations on the planet.
That's an integral part of the AAI's political beliefs.

No, no, see, once the people are liberated from their royalist oppressors they can then start influence the government through their demonstrations.
No one is forced to believe anything, you just need to justly punish the imperialists for oppressing the people, as you would any criminal, and everything is right and well.

Should one not take a murderer to trial? What about a thief? Should they not be arrested and made to pay for their crimes?
