Realistic or Modern Wolf Now and Forever

Upon the elderly wolfs howl skyler perked up and nudged Fenris lightly. "Someone has returned a howl, no threat." she wagged her ail in relief and licked her paws feeling better she stood up quickly and gently tested the wound, "fenris im better. thank you." she nuzzled his muzzle softly and howled again.

Vera was in the process of enduring one of Sage's lengthy lectures about sticking to a task until you succeed when she heard the howl a second time. "Did you hear that?" she interrupted her grandfather. "They called out again, what do you think they want?" she asked, pricking her ears in the direction of the howl.

Sage sighed when he saw that his grandpup was not listening to him. "I don't know, why don't you ask them" he mumbled grumpily, lying down in the snow.

Vera looked at her grandfather through wide eyes, he never let her communicate with strangers before, that was always his right as the default alpha of their duo. "Really? You'll let me do it this time?" she asked, her tail wagging in excitement. When the elderly male nodded, she grinned and let out a small yip. Facing the direction the howl had come from, she threw her head back and howled long and loud, the sound youthfully musical, unique to her alone.

Skyler hearing the proud howl knew that it mustve been another broken wolf pack in need so she perked up and stated walking before fenris could stop her she had looked around frantically following the sound of the howl. "which way which way? must have been a duo one elder and one pup.

Vera continued to howl to the sky, her breath billowing out in cold clouds. She didn't realize she was overdoing it, to immersed in the thrill of giving her hearts song a voice. She wasn't even howling to the strangers anymore, but just for the sheer joy that it spread through her body. She usually only got such a thrill when she ran at full speed through an open field, so this was a welcome change. When she finally ran out of breath, she turned to look at her grandfather who was watching her with a bemused expression.

"I think they heard you loud and clear pup" her grandfather chuckled, causing her fur to warm in embarrassment. "I got carried away" she admitted, "And I'm not a pup grandfather, I'm four winters old, an adult" she insisted, only to have him chuckle at her.

"When you get to be as old as I am, everyone is just a pup" he grandfather grinned, making her sigh.

Upon Skyler finding an ederly wolf and nearing the howl she saw the younger of the duo catching a breath "Who are you?" she looked at them with the moonlight shining on her fur, making her look as strong as could be.

Vera jumped when a fae seemed to come out of nowhere, her ears automatically flattening to her skull as she took on a defensive stance. her grandfather on the other hand, did not look at all startled, which actually miffed her a bit. Wasn't that old wolf surprised by anything? He always seemed to be one paw step ahead of her. Saying nothing, she gazed warily at the she-wolf in front of them.

Sage rose slowly on stiff legs and dipped his head to the she-wolf. "Ah, you must be the one who called to use earlier, how kind of you to come greet us personally" he started with a small smile. "My name is Sage, and this is my grandpup Vera, we are just harmless travelers" he explained.

"pleasure to meet you both. What exactly brings you here? " Skyler lowered her head and wagged her tail not showing she was going to cause harm she tilted her head curiously and looked them over realizing she hadnt introduced her self all that nicely so she perked up, speaking in a gentle tone. "Im Skyler."

Sage smiled and sat back down with a grunt, the cold bothering his joints. "It's very nice to meet you Skylar, I'd have to say that nothing in particular brought us here, we simply go where the threat of humans is minimal" he answered her, flicking his ears forward.

Vera continued to remain silent, though her ice blue optics were full of curiosity as she watched Skylar.

"I completely understand, are you i need of a safe place to rest for the night?" Skyler tilted her head with her ears erect as her tail me the ground and she paused, speaking in a humble tone she continued, "My den is nearby i have others there taking refuge aswell." She smelled the air catching a light scent of vera and sage.

Fenris finally got up and howled loudly, his face turning as he glared in all directions. " Where did she go " he asked himself as he began to walk towards the forest trying to find her scent but unluckily for him the wind was in the other direction. He walked slowly one foot after another gently. He was cautious he had heard 2 howls prior to him falling asleep. Fenris began to panic a little now, his imagination running wild, his stomach growling. Still he kept looking, he did not want to howl, cause it might warn the other wolfs.

Skyler turned toward the faint howl and her ears perked up. "Fenris..My friend.. he must have woken up already" She returned a howl after looking at Vera and Sage. As she looked a bunch of directions she smelled the air catching his scent and took a few steps forward. Seeing him nearby she barked and her tail wagged as she tried catching his attention.

Sage and Vera watched as Skylar called her companion over, both their expressions curious, and yet wary. "Ah, thank you for a the offer, a warm place to rest my old bones would be very much appreciated" Sage barked, answering her earlier invitation.

"That is, if your friend is okay with it, we don't want to impose on anyone" Vera added softly, speaking for the first time since Skylar had arrived.

Sage smiled gratefully. "Well in that case, my grandpup and I will accept your offer" he replied, slowly standing up again.

Celtic was eerily quiet, her ears flicking every few moments once she picked up those very faint noises in the distance, just through the forest trees and bushes where who knows what could lay. The dampness was settling into her bones, giving her spine a hard shudder as her claws began to tear up the ground with each step. "World ain't what it use to be..." She gave a soft murmur under her breathe, her gunmetal blue eyes shimmering with a bright glow every time the sun came through the upper story of trees. The wolf gave a quick stop as her nose wrinkled a bit, her lips curling upwards as she zeroed in on the scents that lay upwind. "Wolves..." Was all she could muster in a silent whisper, her fast mind working quickly to decided the best course of action.

Skyler waited silently and quite observant for the group and walked on back to the den leaving pawprints in the dirt lightly incase anyone got lost and reaching the opening abit she stopped and sat down on the ground holding her ears perked her head abit up and looking at the sky unsure of the next actions that may happen she slid down and closed her eyes

Ashurin's silky pitch black fur moved silently along the quiet of the night, only the glowing of her bright blue eyes visible ever so often as she moved out from bush to bush. She was silent as the wind is visible and as quick as the stream is strong. She was alone, and a little frightened, she had no idea where she was or where she was to go, so alone in the dark she ran, smelling, watching and listening. That is until she was caught into a trap of some kind. She had tripped on something and it wrapped around her back paw, she was frantic and and unable to get herself lose. She lifted her head up and let out a ear splitting howl for help, hoping someone would come along and save her.

Her hackles, of course, began to bristle in paranoia to this new land as she continually swept guarded gazes from left to right across the path that went before her. Her claws were leaving long scraped marks in the dirt underneath her, if something was following her, it would have a clear path to go after. Her paw bounced off a sharp rock and she gave a soft yowl, then a loud growl in pain as she raised it up and limped a few yards before just dropping down on her belly. "Mother of Lupus.." She grunted out, licking her pad quietly to give the small pin pricks of bloody pain relief.

Upon hearing all the fate noise skyler jumped up with a howl and followed the direction carefully. "whoever you are im coming" she slowed down carefully pulling her ears back and walked sniffing the air following the scent. "What happened?" she asked upon arrival to the injured wolf placing a slight glance placed a paw on her fixing the wound.

It all happened quite to fast, especially not for her liking, and she was on her paws with a low growl. Her gunmetal eyes cast a glare towards the she-wolf before her, "I stepped on a sharp rock, nothing to bad... Who are you?" She murmured, her voice low and very scratchy, it could have been easily mistaken for a male voice.

"Skyler. I'm a healer wolf. you will be just fine." Skyler took a step back and finished the healing also she finally moved back even further and looked over to the west clearing. "Safety in the den if you would like. your choice though." She looked at the wolf and let out a low huff.

Abahēlita & Raito

"Abah, how many time are you going to stay frozen in place like that?" Raito asked the female that was sitting behind him, not moving. Abahēlita looked at him. "You heard all those howlings? They are probably trying to get me Raito!" she replied in a panicked voice. Raito then sniffed the female and stated: "You smell fear Abah." At this statement, Abahēlita sighed. "Could you please be serious for some time Raito?" "Nope!" was the male's reply with a playfull growl. Abahēlita rolled her eyes and growled back, with a little smile. A real pup... She thought. Thunder hit near them and Raito smiled. He sniffed the female again. "No more fear," he said playfully. Abahēlita was used to Raito's thunder. She growled a warning to Raito saying she didn't wanted to fight. Raito didn't cared about the warning and jumped next to Abahēlita and chewed her hyena like ear. The female is a crosbreed between a stripped hyena and a wolf. Raito was the first one to accept her and he is proud of having her as a friend, taking her more like a sister now.

After they stopped fighting, the two laid to the ground and looked at the sky. "Raito?" she asked. "Hmm?" the male replied. "Tell me about your pack, when you were still a pup." she said. He smiled and started telling her about his pack in his younger days. The two wolves both had 48 moons recently.

Moon slowly padded though the forest, the young wolf looking absolutely terrified. She had clearly been attacked recently, and was bleeding from various claw and bite marks, the most noticeable a jagged bite on her shoulder. She didn't seem to care about the pain however, and continued to wobble onward, glancing backward occasionally to make sure she wasn't being followed
