Background Information: He used to live on the far east coast of Canada in a small commune, but when the area started becoming mysteriously barren of plant and wildlife, his colony moved westward into what used to be the Northwest Territories. They were attacked by scavs constantly, leading them to start moving by night. For years they marched, hiding in ruins during the day and moving through abandoned landscapes at night. When they finally reached the west most of the group split to find work. His family became charcoal burners, using his curse in a proactive manner. Now that he is older he spent his savings to get his family an actual furnace so that he would be free to adventure without worrying that he put his family in a hole because he wanted to wander.

Regina's curse is that she is, and always will be, a ferocious animal at heart. She possesses heightened senses and enhanced physical capability. She is able to lifts weights of 800 pounds or about the weight of a horse, and can run at a maximum speed of 40 km/h. She can climb walls and scale cliffs with ease, can jump as high as 6 feet off the ground, and a serious punch from her is able to break a narrow pine tree. She can distinctly identify a smell 50 feet away from her, and can see in the dark as well as a red fox. She can hear sounds that are as far as 200 meters away from her, or about the length of two football fields. Why is this a curse, you may ask? Well, along with her abilities, she is cursed to have a dangerous craving for blood.

Whenever any amount of blood is shed around her, Regina begins to exhibit signs of ferality against her will. She starts baring her fangs as her mouth waters and her nails form into claws. She is able to control herself when only a small amount is present around her, like from a minor scratch or prick of a finger. However, whenever someone is inflicted a major wound, she starts to struggle to maintain control. She would effectively be incapacitated as she is fighting to get a hold of herself. If she is not able to move away from the blood source, in just a few minutes she will be completely feral. She would start to attack anyone in her vicinity, friend or foe. She would not stop until about half an hour has passed, until she is knocked unconscious, or until she kills her wounded prey. Although, all of this could be prevented if she could anticipate that blood will be shed, and can cover her nose just before she catches the scent.

This would not serve as her Achilles' heel, however. Her greatest weakness actually stems from one of her strengths. Her hypersensitive senses, while useful in most cases, would actually work too well for her to handle. While her eyes can see in the dark, they are more sensitive to light because of this. She can handle the light of day, with a bit of blurring in her vision, so she cannot see things far away just as clearly as in the night. However, anything just as bright or brighter than fire can disorient her vision, as well as her sense of smell. The smoke emitted from the flames can actually overwhelm her nose, preventing her from smelling anything other than ash. This works for other strong scents as well. Her eyes are also sensitive to loud sounds, anything as loud as a church bell could make her head ache. Anyone could easily exploit these weaknesses to keep her at bay or contain her.

Strengths: Patience and discipline, traits she developed while hunting in the wild. She could wait for hours, even days, just to catch the perfect prey.
Weaknesses: It is difficult to persuade her into doing or believing anything that she sees as stupid, unnecessary or downright deplorable. She strongly believes that whatever she thinks of is the best course of action.
Good Qualities: Surprisingly, she can remain level-headed when being serious in an argument. When disputing with other people, she may excessively shout and swear, however it doesn't stop her from raising a valid point in the end, indicating that her words are not merely all bark and no bite.
Bad Qualities: She has a strong distrust towards others, and genuinely thinks she can do most jobs better herself. While she can work in a group, don't expect her to see her acquaintances as anything other than a means to her end.
Habits: She loves eating...a lot.
Personality likes: Despite her egotistical nature, she actually admires someone more if they took a strong stand against her. She views submissive people as "no fun" and "easy prey", which led her to believe that respect from her needs to be rightfully earned.
Personality dislikes: Although she appreciates confidence, she heavily despises someone with too much pride on themselves, which is ironic. People who are generally rude or needlessly demanding will leave a negative impression on her, and trust me, you wouldn't want anyone like Regina to be your enemy.
Talents: She is highly adept in the ways of the hunt, especially in the taiga setting which encompassess most of the Canadian forests. She is experienced in crafting makeshift disguises for herself to help camouflage her presence to the prey, utilizing leaves, dirt and mud to hide in the forest background.
Temperament: She comes of as a person who is easily triggered by the slightest insult, since she is usually seen barking remarks to the top of her lungs at anyone who is unlucky enough to be in her field of vision. In truth, she merely acts this way just to seem stronger or more dominant than her peers, when it truth she remains generally composed in her responses...while still feeling the need to shout.

OTHER
Background Information:
Gina really shouldn't be alive. She was found, in the middle of the night, by a human hunter who just so happened to decide that night to check on his cabin in the woods. Greeting him on the way to his cabin was a body, with nothing but rags to shield it from the cold. The hunter was not surprised. People lose their way into the woods all the time. What did surprise him though, was that something was writhing underneath it. Once he carefully removed the rags, he discovered that the body was that of a human woman, whose arms were folded around a baby, her baby, a demonic offspring.

If it was any other human, the baby would've been left there to freeze, but the hunter was kind to all forms of life, be it man or demon. The hunter raised Regina as his own, teaching her the ways of the hunt, and how to master the craft. They were happy. She was happy, but this did not last long. Eventually the townspeople got word of the local hunter and his demonic child. They demanded that she be exiled to a demon settlement to the East, where her "rightful place" was, otherwise they will be forced to act.

The hunter refused their demands and disregarded their threats. Regina thought that this was foolish, for the humans to treat her as anything but normal, despite not having once misbehaved, and for her father, for ignoring the danger that his actions might have brought to them. She was furious, mad at the fact that they could never be happy because of what she is. There was nothing else she could do to save her father, except by running way.

And thus she left, at the age of 18, westward, where no one would expect to find her. Since she had recently been taught of the role that demons play in this world, she had learned to conceal her identity from the humans. She shortened her horns up to the stumps, and started a new life in another human settlement, working as a hunter. She would not live among them, no, she refused to. Instead, she found a home in the outskirts of the village, where she regularly hunts and then trades her yield to the humans. It has stayed this way for 7 years already, and not once had she visited her foster father to the East.

Ever since she left, she had hope, of one day proving to humans that not all demons need to be feared and isolated. She wishes to go out in the world, to clear demon-kind's name through her actions. If only there was some way she could do so. But no, she did not have the materials, the gear, the preparation to just go out there and explore. She is at a stage of her life where her hopes and wishes are nothing but a fantasy, where she slowly began to accept that she would spend the rest of her life, in a cabin in the woods, the same place as where it all began.

There isn't half demons, either you're born with the curse or you're not. A demon having a child with a human would only produce another human, it's entirely random whether they are born a demon and can come from human/human couples as well.
 
Yeah, they're not literally an alternate species but in the story they are treated as such because y'know, horns and supernatural abilities.

However, his entire body is dry and atrophied, suggesting the living cells died long ago.

Personality: Cold and distant, Caleb finds no pleasure in things like society and friendship. Having been cursed to live as a shell of his former self has left him without worth in a wounded world, and as such he struggles to find meaning in perpetuating his existence.
Likes: Rain, quiet, warmth, art, literature, music and smoke.
Dislikes: The ocean, the underground, being disturbed while in the middle of something, animals.
Fears: Being trapped for the rest of his life(I.E: buried alive, dismembered, etc…)

Curse: Bellicius can transform into any living thing whose hide he's currently wearing. The transformation spreads outwards from the points of contact, so he changes faster if he's wearing more pf it. Any organic material he's wearing merges with him as he transforms.
The drawback is that Bellicius is exceptionally vulnerable to metals of any kind. Exposing him to them will halt his transformation, trapping him in his current form, and reduce his strength.

Background Information: Bellicius grew up in a community of scavengers in the ruins of a large city. He wasn't heavily shunned for being a demon despite his obvious horns; most of the flak came from his apparent lack of powers, which were how other demons contributed and earned the respect from the rest of the camp. When he did discover them, he wanted to make the reveal a big one and only let a few others know about the big surprise.
One of his close friends, however, sold him out to a horde of goblins to get them to move out of the city instead of doing his job and exterminating them, using Bellicius's curse to trap him as a grizzly bear. He didn't escape until about five years later, after the goblins forgot why the shiny bracelet on his leg had to stay on and he slaughtered the whole nest. By then, he'd traveled very far from the city, and the amount of time spent in bear form had leaked into his human form, granting him impressive strength but ruining his vocal cords, making it near impossible to re-assimilate into a human population without difficulty.

Curse: Unstoppable force: Julia does not consciously feel pain. Whether it be a cut, burn, impact, or bullet, unless she sees it happen, chances are she won't know for quite a while. Because of this freedom of pain, the usual bodily functions that limit the strain one can put on their body do not work for Julia, resulting in higher durability across the board. The main benefactor of this ability is her endurance. Until her body shuts down from a lack of rest/downtime, she will function at full capacity for hours on end.

Of course, there are major implications to an ability like this. Julia has come close to bleeding out countless times, and was practically dead at one point in her youth. She has no natural way of knowing when she should go to sleep, eat, drink, or, possibly the most dangerous, stop fighting. These all have to be consciously monitored at basically all times. On top of all that, whenever Julia does decide to sleep, her dreams are replaced by nightmares fueled by the pain she's recently endured. This means, although she does not feel anything in the moment, she isn't free of the pain whatsoever.

Background Information
: Julia grew up in the outskirts of one of the smaller and more southern demon settlements, enjoying a relatively high quality of life. The settlement functioned much like an old world village. There were many whose job was to hunt and gather food, which was by far the most populous group of people. There were those who cared for the children, those who maintained structures, and a small group who would travel, looking for demons, young and old, who would become new members of their society. Naturally, this would cause the settlement to grow over time.

However, that growth eventually led to a lack of stability. The hunters couldn't bring in enough food, and eventually demons were traveling to the settlement based on rumor alone- recruitment was not necessary. Some argued that a larger city should be taken for their own, others feared the response from humans about a whole city of demons. When Julia was 20, she joined the minority who wanted to leave for a better place to live, and found herself in the remnants of a town that was already inhabited by humans and demons alike. However, the relationship between the two races was not particularly friendly. Upon being warned by local demons, many made the decision to shave down their horns. Julia, however, did not, and became a part of the group of demons who would wear their horns in defiance to the human majority of the population.

Unbeknownst to her, her curse allows her to create a force field around her that will reflect even the most devastating of attacks, protecting her and anyone around her. However, the drawback is that this takes so much power from her that it will almost certainly kill her, or at the very least leave her so debilitated she will never be strong enough to use it again, effectively making it a one time attack. She does not know the specifics of her ability, but she can sense inside her what will happen to her if she uses it, and she fears it as a result.
Additionally, attacks do not effect her as much as it would a regular human, but this is only by a little bit. She is still very much susceptible to damage and the elements.

Body Structure: Small, and slightly underweight due to food being hard to come by for her.
Eyes: Wide, hungry green eyes.
Hair: Unkempt ginger hair, forced into a ponytail.
Notable Physical Features:
Small stumps under her head where her horns used to be. They were cut off by the other members of her settlement when she was a child, so young that she doesn't even ever remember having them. Apparently this was customary for any demon born amongst their ranks.
Clothing:
To keep the cold out, she wears lots of layers of clothing. These are often made by herself in darker colours to make her less noticeable, and topped off with a purple woven cloak, partnered with black pants and thick brown boots.

Anja is a child who tries to be an adult. She's very focused on seeming mature and strong, but this is hindered by the fact that her abnormal upbringing stunted her emotional growth. She never got the chance to really be a kid, so as a result she struggles to be an adult, and flounders somewhere in between. Despite her shortcomings, she takes it upon herself to be kind to those around her, and to prioritise them, but sometimes her desire to be the 'adult' and seem self assured can manifest in her becoming stubborn and unwilling to listen to other solutions. Just know that whenever she's acting prideful and too big for her boots, it's usually an act.

Strengths: Nimble, fast on her feet, resourceful, a survivalist

Background Information:
Anja spent her entire life on a tiny settlement, constantly on the move. With their numbers being so small, and their resources being so scarce, their existence was constantly threatened; by sickness, by hunger, by cold, by other humans. Anja had to learn from a very young age that to survive meant to scrape by and live in the most dire situations, and as a result, she was no stranger to things she held dear to her being stolen from her. Despite this, she did not let them steal her kindness. Anja knew, being young and as healthy as it was possible to be in these circumstances, that she had a responsibility to look after her settlement, and dedicated so much of her time to hunting and gathering, tending to the sick, raising the young. But she could only do so much.

When the settlement was attacked by demons, she failed to protect everyone. Almost the entirety of it was wiped out - children, elderly, women, men. She knew that she was really the only person out of them that stood a chance of stopping it, knew that now more than ever the remaining survivors needed her, but she couldn't face them. So she ran. And she kept running. And she's been running ever since, knowing she can't show her face until she's become the stronger person she needs to be.

Goals: Overall, Anja wants to become strong, strong enough that she can actually feel like she's living. Feeling that her and her settlement's entire existence has just been them struggling and scraping by, living in fear and only just barely surviving, she wants both to know what it's like to live without fear, and live within the means to protect her and her people.
Hobbies: Crafting little bits and pieces, hunting, singing (but only to herself, now)
