Why Me!?

Morgan's statement was confirmed when a rather pretty girl she recognized from the cheerleading team pounce on Logan's back. She smirked at Logan's discomfort and nearly burst out laughing when the ditzy girl called him Loggy Bear. Morgan shook her head and observed her nails, picking at them casually and saying, "Loggy Bear. That's a good one."

'' Please don't..'' he said bored not wanting this nickname to be spread across the whole school. He looked back at the girl and smiled promising her that he would call her and found an excuse why he hadn't. There was those times where he regretted talking to a girl and she was one of them. Tall, Blonde with blue eyes, a really pretty girl but one heck of a possessive one. The girl didn't seem like she was giving up and took his hand pulling him with her. He glanced back at Morgan and just blew a kiss in the air and then wiggled his eyebrows smirking. He knew what was coming up that night, probably the only reason he followed her.

Monday//8:15//School

Morgan was unusually excited to be at school, mostly because it meant she had an excuse to be away from her parents at hom. After leaving the mall in an irritated mood and going home to her parents, the rest of the weekend was just awkward and tense. Morgan was constantly attempting to leave the house, but her parents took her keys in attempt to further explain themselves. She sat through it, nodded her head, and acted like a good daughter, but her insides screamed no. So when Monday came, Morgan was quick to get dressed for school and dash out the door. Upon her arrival, Morgan walked over to her locker and unloaded her stuff, happy to be lost in the crowded and loud hallway full of boisterous teenagers.

Logan hadn't been home until late sunday, he didn't want to deal with parents or talk about the marriage. He woke up a little tired and groomed himself fast not caring how his hair looked like. He just wanted to flee the house right this second. He managed to run off, the school wasn't too far away from his house so he would always walk to go there, what he considered his quotidien exercise. The school was pretty prestigious, not the junkies would go there. There was a few but a really minority that always ended up in the corner, but overall it was the best school of the city. He walked in the school to the usual chaos there was, the sports team always made a lot of noise. He walked by pass them and went to his locker and prepared himself for another horrible day at school.

After going to her locker, Morgan made her way to first period where she saw her good friends clustered throughout the room chatting before the beginning of class. She sat near one of the windows, and was planning on getting her books out when she was spun out of her chair and into the arms of her ex, Collin. Collin was probably the best boyfriend Morgan had had, and she regretfully had to break up with him because she was getting to distracted from her schoolwork."Hey M," he muttered with a grin on his face.

Morgan smiled slightly and looked away. "What are you doing Collin?"

"Just making sure you're caught up on your schoolwork. And wondering if you were free tonight?" he asked, his hands on her waist.

Wishing she could accept, Morgan sighed and her smile disappeared. "I can't, Collin. I want to, but things are kind of..." she trailed off, remembering the arranged marriage.

"Complicated?" Collin replied with a sigh. "Yeah, okay. I'll keep waiting," he ended with a sly grin and sneaked a kiss on her lips before letting her go and leaving to sit in his own seat.

Morgan's cheeks were flushed as she sat down and groaned inwardly. Parents suck.

Logan walked in the classroom right when the bell had ringed. He greeted Collin, the sweet boy of the school, one of his friends but he wasn't the type to hang around with Logan and 'Followers' like Collin called them. He had met him at the start of the year but didn't know much of his life, they only talked a bit about school and sometimes about games. Overall, Logan simply exchanged a few words with him and it was quite fun. He found it unfortunate that his desk was in the first line right in front of the teacher.

Logan's desk was right next to Morgan, which was the reason why he first started 'talking' to her at the start of september.

Morgan had been doodling in the margins of her notes when she finally acknowledged Logan's presence. She tossed a glance at him and smirked. "Morning Loggy Bear," she quipped in a mocking undertone as the teacher was writing something on the whiteboard. Morgan figured that with all of the messing Logan had done to her in the past, she should return the favor.

Logan wasn't really in the mood and he just just faked laugh at her statement. '' Shut up Morgasm.'' he simply stated looking at his book and listening to the teacher ruunt about festivals and school trips for the year. He didn't care, he usually just stayed home and chock them. He remembered the previous night he talked with his parents. He tried to find another way to annul the marriage in no vain. His father had threaten him to disinherit him if he did anything stupid and stain there name in embarrassment.

Morgan boiled in anger at his reply, and glared at him before turning her attention back to the teacher. What a d***. If only her parents knew what they were setting her up with. They explained to Morgan that they weren't getting married right away, but to make a statement to the public they would move into the same house. Though she still despised the idea of being in the same building as Logan, it was better than sealing it with a marriage contract right away. That gave her a little more flexibility on trying to figure out how to fix this.

As the school hours neared the end, Logan was pulled by the cheerleader to go see her new cheer. He wasn't very enthusiastic, preferring to head somewhere more interesting. He wasn't much of an athlete, he actually despied any kind of sports. He was more of a Go Home club kind of guy. He was pulled by the blond names Chelsey and sat on the bleachers. He was actually ignoring the cheerleading squad and rather looked at all the sports practicing around.

Soccer practice was Morgan's favorite part of every school day. As soon as the ending bell rang, she made haste to the locker rooms and would change into a tank top, running shorts, and her soccer gear. Lacing up her cleats, she pulled her hair into a ponytail and raced out onto the field with the rest of her teammates.

Though Morgan led most of the practices along with her coach, she had a lot of fun with her friends. They ran a few sprints and worked on their passing before they lined up to practice scoring for a bit. Morgan was also the only left-footed member of the team, so she practiced her scores and shot multiple goals. After that, they spent the last thirty minutes of practice scrimmaging, and laughing every so often.

The practice was ending, Logan sighted and flee before Chelsey had the opportunity to pull him into an other unwanted date and mating session. He had mostly watched the Soccer team practicing, he had noticed how much squats they did and admired the beautiful curves of most of them. Compared to most cheerleaders, they were a lot more enjoyable to watch. He walked towards the front gate and was surprised to see the same man that was at his house saturday morning. He eyed him and was about to bypass him until he grabbed his shoulder and grinned at him pulling him into a hug, ''Well what a pleasant surprise son!'' Logan's face was shoved into the man's chest and was utterly shocked and tried pushing him away but didn't have the strenght to since he was hugging him tightly.

Morgan was finally done with soccer practice, and was heading to the locker room to grab her things when she saw her father hugging Logan. She stopped in her tracks, immediately deciding to veer off into the opposite direction, determined to avoid any conversation with the two. She looked back and saw Logan glancing in his direction, and she was too far to tell how exactly he was reacting to the whole thing. Morgan fled into the school and down the hall into the locker room.

She figured she might as well take a shower to cool off, and cleansed herself of the sweat and dirt from practice. Afterwards, she changed into the clothes she had come to school in and her hair was already starting to dry. It smelled good, like tropical fruit rather than the sweaty outside smell from earlier. With one last look in the mirror, Morgan slung her bag over her shoulder and walked out into the hallway towards the parking lot that students parked in.

The man didn't stop twirling him around, he was a lot stronger than Logan and he didn't seem to understand that since he was shooking him all around. he felt dizzy and wanted to just throw up with all of this. The man than stopped and look at him right in the eyes, ''Son! I am so grateful to your father. He was good to me and you have to understand that your act saved hundreds of family. The economy isn't good now it would be hard for them to find a job..'' the man had continued his runting for a few minutes repeating everything he had said. He looked very happy somehow,Logan was confused and just looked at him, he had realised that he was probably his father in law because of the runthing but it had confused him. '' Oh, have you met my daughter?'' he asked excitedly. Logan just looked at him in horror, he wasn't ready at all to meet the girl, he didn't even know who she was. The old man then looked at his daughted walking in the parking lot, ''Honey! Come faster!'' he shouted cheerfully.

Oh my god I'm going to kill my dad. Morgan stood in horror while her father beckoned her over. Rather than listening to his shouting, Morgan walked off at an angle to avoid getting closer to them, and tried to speed walk as casually as possible to her car. "Sorry Dad, got loads of stuff to do! See you at home!" she lied, getting into her car and driving out of the parking lot. One way or another, Morgan knew she was going to have to confront both her father and Logan; she just didn't want to do that with both of them there. She was rather hungry, so instead of eating at home, Morgan stopped at a little sandwich shop just down the street and got herself an italian sub. She sat down in a little two person booth and rubbed her temples, feeling both relieved and entirely stressed at the same time.

Logan was chocked when he saw that the Men was talking to none other than Morgan. His mouth gabbed and he mentally slammed his head to a wall. The man excused his daughter's attitude and just shooked his hand before leaving to some meeting he had to attend. Logan just left after saying his goodbyes, politely since his father would literally hang him if he ever disrespected some partener of his. He walked down the street to go to his house when he saw Morgan seating in a booth at the Italian Sub. He immidiatly entered the sub joint, slamming the door in the way. He hurried to the back next to the windo where she was sitting and took the empty place in front of her startled by the sudden meeting.

''What the fuck Was that!? he shouted looking at her straight in the eyes.

Morgan couldn't get a moment of relief, because she hadn't even taken a bite out of her sandwich before Logan was storming through the doors and sitting in the seat in front of her. She sighed, looking out the window with a frustrated expression on her face. "I don't know, I wasn't a part of the conversation," she replied curtly. Morgan didn't really know what to say, so she just braced herself to get yelled at for no reason. All of this bull crap wasn't even her fault, but Logan would probably find an excuse to be pissed at her anyways.

''As f*ck you don't know! Don't do your innocent! You knew it didn't you!?'' he whispered frustrated as he saw other students looking at the soccer captain and the biggest hot shot of the school talking. He hated the idea that he had to marry, and even more when he knew it was her. He did want to date her but only to show everyone he could actually make anyone fall in love with him and play around with her. Everyone knew how she would just diss him, because she was the only one who actually did. It played with his pride so much that he didn't stop firting with her and made it as an objective to make her madly in love.

Morgan ran a hand through her hair and glared at Logan. "Yes! I knew okay? I was just hoping you were going to remain unaware of who it was until I could figure out how to get out of the... you know," she said, flustered and unable to put it into words in front of him. Her sandwich remained untouched, because she had lost her appetite in that moment.

Logan just crossed arms on his chest and leaned on his chair frustrated. He sighted and looked outside the window for a few minutes thinking about everything that was happening. His gaze turned to her, he looked away not wanting to look weird. He had to admit tho that at least she wasn't bad looking and was better than most girls around town. At Least ,she knew she wasn't a gold digger He ran a hand in his hair and pointed at the sub on the table untouched. ''Are you going to eat that or what?'' he asked, trying to change conversation. now my plan's are ruined..he thought while sighting.

Morgan looked down at the sandwich and her stomach grumbled. At least he was trying to change topics, despite the disaster they were being put into. She shoved half of the sandwich across the table towards him and grabbed the other half and took a small bite. Morgan glanced at him over her sandwich, then back out the window. The problem wasn't his looks, in fact he was one of the most attractive boys in the entire school, it was his pride. He just seemed like a player to her, spending every night each week in some other girl's bed, and walking up the next morning just to flirt with another one. If things were different, Morgan wouldn't hate him like she did. She took a sip of her drink and then bit into her sandwich once more, not entirely sure what to do other than eat in silence.

He knew deep inside it was impossible to annul it, all he had to do is bare with the thought of marrying her. He took the half of sandwich she gave him and ate in silence, he had too much in his head to even think of playing with her. He finished his sub and just stood there bored looking at her, she did have cute eyes but question of personality...she was something else and how could they even manage a marriage when both were at their neck or simply annoyed by the other. He sipped in her drink not caring if she minded or not, ''When is it happening?'' he asked. He hadn't talked about it with his father other than when he announced it or when he tried convincing to just call it off. It had failed with only shouts and a threat.

Morgan finished her half of the sandwich and shrugged. "I don't know. My dad said something about getting our own house, but that's all the detail I got," she admitted. How were they going to do this? It was so unfair to have two high schoolers that haven't even graduated yet do something like marriage. Now getting back together with Collin was a definite no. Morgan leaned back against her seat and sighed. "If you know anything feel free to share."

''Knowing my damn father, he would announce the arranged marriage within this month. But in the mean time, no one must know or else the Media will just be at our doors every morning.'' he said. His father company was a multinational often followed closely by the reporters. But his father was smart and never let any information slip unexplained. This marriage was probably one of those information no one will know until it passes in the news as some big deal. ''And.. I think the marriage will be after graduation.'' he said looking devastated. ''my dad always said school before women..so i suppose it goes sames with this bullshit.''

"Fantastic, that's just what I need right after we graduate," Morgan said dryly, her forehead in her hand as she shook her head. This couldn't be happening. But it was. Morgan sighed and looked at Logan. "If we're going to have to... live together in the same house, then we should probably start trying to not hate each other," she suggested, expecting Logan to laugh at the idea. It wasn't her idea of fun, either, but it was probably better that they learned to bear each other rather than clawing at each other.
