"I need to know more about that attack on Damien...." Kalora mumbled under her breath. "If it's the same people..." Then what? What was she going to do? Scold them? Change into her slender wolf form and howl? She wasn't much of a fighter when it came to actual combat. Sure, she could defend herself when needed, but she wouldn't pick a fight. Her strength was in the game of words, trickery, and stealth. And poison, occasionally. Either way, give her a sword and she'd flail it. Ah well, at least them maybe the enemies would laugh themselves to death.... Or be so distracted with laughing at her that she, or someone else, would actually manage to strike them. No, Kalora wasn't all that fearsome in battles. Sure, she could scare people when angered, and she could be dangerous in her own way. Just... not in direct combat. She sighed, shook her head, and pulled herself from her endless stream of thoughts.
"Yes..." she muttered. "We should find out more about that Dragon Kingdom... How are they involved? Why? What happened the last time they got involved somewhere outside their own kingdom? So many questions... and so little answers. In all honesty I doubt my study, or even the royal library will be of much help..." The more she mentioned the Dragon Kingdom, the more she got the feeling there had to be something she remembered. Even if it was just an old story, a legend. Tales that likely weren't any truth.
"Sure, I'll... escort you," Kalora said. "I could do with some breakfast anyway. With all the hurrying and things going on I just flat out forgot to eat last night, haha."
She frowned at Kael. "That's not a very nice thing to say. Lady Novah tried her very best to keep you from dying. Sure, I know the potions aren't really pleasant to drink, but you could show the girl a little more gratitude." She walked out of the Prince's room and took a deep breath. Once she'd had some food, she would go outside and get some fresh air, she could really use that. And maybe she'd seek out Novah too. Kalora felt like she needed to have a word with the heartbroken girl.
"Ah, hello y'all," Kalora greeted the others in the hallway. She recognized Azure, the human girl, the mercenary she had send out the night before. But there were others as well she couldn't quite place right away. Probably they would recognize her. It happened more often than she liked people knew who she was without knowing who they were. A true shame for someone in her position. Ah well, at least they didn't know what she was, other than a bard and friend of the Queen. Likely, if they would greet her (and introduce themselves), she would remember them. "It's surprisingly busy in this hall here this morning..."
